    An absolutely BEAUTY! I love this style and I think the japanese HD chopper manufactories build better and more old schoolish bikes than the US-guys do.

    I saw a picture of a wharehouse in Asia with tables covered in Shovelheads on stands and row after row of Shovels and Pans sitting. Hundreds of them.
    I believe particularly the Japanese but Asia in general have been buying up Shovels and Pans for years. I think this bike is probably just the way they bought it. Only they went and ran the bugs out of it.
    They have greater respect for the 60s and 70s style there than the average Harley rider in the US does at this point.
    I look at shovel vids from Japan all the time here. These are the bikes I grew up on. I still have my 78 Shovel.
    This bike is perfect 70s style. When my Shovel was new... The 74 and 80" Fatbobs were everywhere. Mine is black. Nothing was more common than a black Fatbob.
    Now there are so few, I actually never see one. Im glad these guys are preserving these beautiful bikes and celebrating the style.
    I just wish it was here so I could ride with them as see some young guys riding some old iron.

    The lovely harley sound is over shadowed by that horrible noise. Looks so cool though.

    Proper oldschool, orig panhead frame too.
    But sounds like it needs a gearcase rebuild.

      Depends if the neck is raked, most old school Harley guys say it's not a chopper otherwise.

      I know this is a year old an all... But Im thinking thats a Harley Straight leg. Even has the loops on the front downtube for a sidecar.

    Making a bad sound,,clutch bear ring??

    • @TheWolfsnack
      @TheWolfsnack 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the old dry clutches all rattle.....mine rattled for thirty years without a problem, even after replacing the plates and throwout bearing more than once. I had the same set up, open belt drive and jockey shift.

      Thats how they sounded. The primary cover muffled the sound when stock.

      Just needs a "clutch tamer"
