Tell me they aren't doing that stupid shit again with Scyther/Scizor. We all know exactly why they're doing it. It's to drive up purchases of gems in the store, by weaponizing people's fear of missing out. They'll see people already playing the new Pokemon and wanna play too. It's scummy as fuck that even though the Pokemon was released, you can't play it for a week. Not to mention them making every new poke more expensive so people are even more inclined to buy gems
I like to think it's also to help keep people who just blindly play new pokemon in ranked out of it so they don't basically throw for their team because they have no clue what they are doing, But in all honesty it's probably just Timi being Timi
@@robynmarthabridson You honestly think Timi gives a single fuck about ranked? No, the only thing they care about is what will make them the most money. They still don't even have the damage values and scaling for moves in the game. You've, literally, gotta go to an outside website to find those, when they're just included in every other moba, and then they don't tell you what items do either. Macho brace doesn't give you more attack speed for example, except for certain pokemon at certain levels. Even though it's displayed as increasing your attack speed by 7%. Then they essentially have zero matchmaking in the game until you get almost into masters. The amount of times I've seen 2-3 people in the jungle in ranked, 3-4 people going to one lane, or having multiple people that score zero points is astounding. The only reason I play this game at this point is to play the Pokemon themselves, but Timi does nothing but make it more and more grindy just to get 1 Pokemon. This goes all the way back to them putting that stupid fucking 2100 coin limit per week since the start of the game. Then they're releasing 3 Pokemon a month lately, when it takes a month of playing to get the coins for 1 Pokemon. Further exacerbating the problem. I've got 14k coins saved up since last buying tyranitar, and I'm sure I'm about to spend all of these for Scizor, and I already know I want to play Zoroark and Sableye next month too

@@Gunsblazin94 That's so accurated ! I've still got a real time understanding this whole concept of P2W Moba with ranked battles and competitive gameplay. Even for those whose can actually spend the 10 bucks for a pokémon, every single month, they still literally need to grind "outbuild items" in order to get, at least, use of their pokémon in rankeds, so they don't get outplayed by someone with more hours in the game and less skill. This shit just makes people whose can't afford for it, exchange it for their own time. For those whose don't even got much time, this is unreachabel. I just kept playing for the same reason: it's a moba game with pokémon, and that's fun! But, fair competitive meta game? I don't think so.
