it's so interesting to see how sora and riku deal with people differently. like they both are kind-hearted, but sora's more jolly and trusts people easily, while riku's more reserved and does good things secretly. Sora's the type of kid who would be class president, while riku's that hot, quiet kid who you wouldn't expect to have so much depth and kindness to his character.
Zarah Stryker It gives a good example of what the heart's light and darkness are about. Light is freely opening your heart and connecting with others easily, and darkness is closing your heart and keeping your feelings secret. Though, Riku seems to have figured out how to stay connected with other people even with his heart shadowed.
Zarah Stryker I love that we see that from BBS when Riku meets with Terra, Terra feels mostly his power and determination plus the will to do good however he can, but when Aqua meets them she sees Terra has passed the Power to Riku and even though she already passed down Power to Kairi she still feels that Sora should protect Riku if something bad happens to him and bring him back even though Riku seems much stronger and capable than Sora! I havent seen the DDD movie/plot yet, just wanted to note that about Sora and Riku from BBS!

nah Ive only played the initial two, tried to play CoM but wasn't my cup of tea. I just remember how often they said it in those two games alone was insane xD I am trying to watch these kinda vids so i know what i missed story wise.

Keyblade master Riku: gave into darkness, like twice technically, saves world once, goes through the the exact same test as Sora, except for SOME reason a LOT less complicated than the test Sora does, and does one thing extra, that one thing being something that Sora DEFINITELY WITHOUT A DOUBT would have done had the roles been reversed. Keyblade master. Yea. And Sora's really not bothered by that. Sora, you are and always be the best.
When Xehanort was explaining the true purpose of the organization and what they'd planned to do to Sora, I started saying "It's the Xehanort Virus!" over and over. Riku wakes up and sees Sora having a tea party (What the heck!?) and worst of all, he is wearing Groucho Glasses which make him look like a simpleton version of me on Halloween of '99. I think sora acts like that cause he's really happy just to be with Riku. Just think of how long Sora looked for Riku, and to finally spend time with his best friend again made him like he was before everything changed. Just my thoughts on it.
+smileyman17 Nearly all voice actors for Disney characters are actually people that have been affiliated/worked with Disney before. Christopher Lee, Jesse McCartney, Hailey Joel Osment, Hayden Panettiere... Even the voices for Donald, Goofy, Beast, Aladdin and Simba are their genuine voices from the movies. The Japanese audience actually WANTED the game dubbed over in English, which is one of the reasons why the Final Mix games exist.
It's been confirmed that kingdom hearts 3 will take place right after dream drop distance and when you think about it the plot builds up so many events that are most likely going to be addressed in kingdom hearts 3 and also take note that kingdom hearts 3 is ending the xheanort saga as the next numbered title will most likely start off a brand new story. (Spoilers) In terms of plot dream drop distance tells us that xheanort wants to form the 13 seekers of darkness and the 7 guardians of light to forge the x-blade since that's how many fragments the x-blade was broken into at the end of the 1st key blade war, and keep in mind that someone needs to help get aqua out of the realm of darkness and its strongly suggested that ventus will most likely wake up and many of the 13 seekers of darkness at the end of dream drop distance were still covered up as well and most likely will be revealed in 3. That's what I think if you have a different preference well I respect it but to me this is what will most likely happen.
+Devin Henderson It wont take place right after, some time will have passed between 3D and KH3, Sora will have passed the mark of mastery at some point before KH3, which is what allows for him to do the Keyblade mode changes we see.
Alexandre Lopes Yeah I know 1.5 is out, and in a couple months 2.5 will be too, but it doesn't have dream drop distance in it and its not for playstation so I will probably have to watch this whole video, although I rather play it lol. But I think kingdom hearts 3 only comes out for next gen consoles which sucks since the remixes are on ps3 and it will be a while till I can afford the ps4.
Alexandre Lopes I hope so. And thanks for the details. I'm happy that they are finally coming out with XV, I hope it has a great story line. That is what I like the most about Final Fantasy. I really like final fantasy 14, because it makes me feel like I'm in another world, escaping reality (reminds me of SAO). But I hate how you pay $40 for the game itself, play for a month, and then you have to pay monthly to keep playing it which pisses me off. So I played it everyday on the first month to at least get my money's worth. (Sorry for the rambling)
Well Riku has both darkness and light in his heart and has perfect control of both. He is the only keyblade master to achieve balance between the two. So even if he does use darkness it means nothing will change about him. And not all darkness is evil, Terra used the darkness to protect his friends. Eraqus raised his keyblade against Ventus and Terra because he was blinded by the light. Riku is the least corrupt and the most in control of his actions of any character if you think about it.
And I like to think that it's no coincidence that he's also the only character to lose himself to darkness and then bounce back. Unless we count Terra, I'm not sure if he ever actually fell all the way. Anyways, Riku is proof positive that only those who have truly experienced Darkness can understand and control it. He's kind of like the Zuko of Kingdom Hearts, except not as whiny...
Xander Rex I'd also like to add wayne allwine, (the original voice actor for mickey back in kh 1 and 2) may he RIP. It's sad but I'm truly grateful to all these amazing voice actors because to me and a lot of people they didn't just provide a voice, they brought all these amazing characters to life and I can honestly say they left an irreplaceable part in my childhood.
@@ihavequestion2107 it's a reference to the scene when Riku called himself "Ansem" in front of DiZ (the real Ansem) 'cos he had lost himself to Ansem (Xehanort) inside him, at least partially. It happened early in KHII and then was explaned in detail later in the game. Just makes you wonder again how confusing and oftentimes stupid the KH plot is. Still ,that was really a great scene, have to admit. I'm not sure this was a reference, but I'm inclined to believe it was. Brought a smile to my face =)

Here's how i see the final battle happening. First, Sora will retake the Mark of Mastery Exam while Riku and Mickey search for Aqua. Then Sora will release Ventus' heart back into his body, probably making him temporarily unable to use the Keyblade. But that comes into question when the ceremony comes into effect. Sora was holding/swining/grabbing/catching what was meant to be Riku's Keyblade in KH1. Before the Keyblade formally chose Sora, that possibly could've been the ceremony. So once he gives Ventus his heart back, he may still in fact be able to wield and keep the Kingdom Key.(So those who blindly claim Sora will lose his ability to wield the Keyblade, think about that). The 13 Darkness and 7 Light will clash of course. Once Terra-Xehanort is defeated, someone will probably have to use their key to re-awaken Terra's heart since its asleep. Or another possible twist, Terra's light resides within his armor, so his armor might play a part in his revival. This leaves 8 on 12. Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lea, and King Mickey vs the remaining 12 Xehanorts. Once the other 12 Darkness are defeated, the 13 pieces of his heart will come together and revive him 1 final time. But the clash will lead to the completion of the X-Blade which the newly revived Xehanort will wield. Now i know its 7 of light and 13 of darkness, but think about this. When the X-Blade was nearly re-forge from Vanitas and Ventus, Ventus shattered it a 2nd time. Who's to say that it didnt shatter into 8 light and 12 darkness. Thus, leading to the completion of the X-Blade after the semi-final battle. Now i understand that there's only 7 Princesses of Heart. But what if there were in fact, 8. Aqua being the 8th princess. What if she became a Princess of Heart once the X-Blade split the 2nd time. This would explain why she's able to straight walk around in the Realm of Darkness with no fear of being corrupted. *Exhales* Whew.
I agree that a lot of what you said is possible. Although I doubt Sora will retake the Mark of Mastery during the third game. From what they've shown it looks as if he's with Donald and Goofy again meaning that he's on the quest itself. Now its possible that by the end he's named a master anyway but I really doubt it'll be before. Another note is that they do plan to finish this segment of the saga because they announced that KH3 will be the final chapter of the dark seeker saga; meaning Xehanort will most likely be finally defeated or at least his story will close. This also means that they plan to start fresh after KH3 meaning that by those KH games that Sora will be a master. Or should be anyway. This also opens the possibility that Sora and Riku wont even be the main characters anymore. They may start us off with new Keyblade wielders and have Sora, and Riku or whoever survives be the masters of a new keyblade order.. but thats only speculation.
Onizuma13 That's very possible. I agree with if there are any more games, Sora and Riku will probably be teachers much like Xehanort and Eraqus were. Sora about the light and Riku teaches the dark side. Riku's already proven dark isn't always necessarily evil. Just the other side of light. That was Eraqus' problem. He believed anything in association with the dark needed to be destroyed.

John Smitherino it's not an exact quote lifted from Plato, but he says something very similar in the Republic. it's one of the major themes in his philosophy of education, that the soul is like 'soft clay' or 'soft wax' when a person is young, and therefore what the child is exposed to during that time is the most impactful on their personality and character later in life. So he says they should only be exposed to what is "good, true and beautiful" including nature and good role models. I'm not sure about other references like it, but I wouldn't be surprised. There's probably a reference to the allegory of The Cave in KH somewhere. Haha imagine doing a philosophy dissertation on freaking Kingdom Hearts

So basically Xehenort is a paradox. When he became a heartless and no longer had a body during the events of the first kingdom hearts he traveled through time and possessed all of his selves at one point or another to gather information and put every self on the same page. This is mind blowing, because that means that the heartless version of himself already knew how to do this because his past self already knew all of what he had to do. This is how they are ALL able to gather at this certain point in time because they ALL knew already in the future (because they are currently possessed by heartless Xehenort from the first Kingdom Hearts at different points in time) despite coming from the future and or of the past. Even the heartless possessed Riku from the first Kingdom Hearts appears at one point to face off against this Riku. *Head Explodes* For example his younger self knows to be there despite his past self not yet knowing because his heartless from the future already told him at this point. Of course they didn't know everything this is why they needed to possess Riku, steal Kairis heart, AND fuck with Sora so many times and why they had to mark Sora with that sigil. 3:40:00 A lot of what i'm trying to explain can be seen here 3:52:00 He then claims to tell Sora all that he knows but the fact is that he isn't telling him that heartless Xehenort is currently possessing this version of himself. He kind of hints this at 3:41:30 He can predict events like Mickeys Stopza because versions of himself have already experienced it and thus knows when to be there. Here's the kicker. Xehenort assumes that Sora will become a Vessel for darkness and this believe it or not may be true due to the fact that he already knows many future events. Kind of makes me wonder how they're going to do this. I know this is long but I feel like I should clear it up since its probably a cause for a lot of confusion. What Sora and Riku are doing throughout this game is very similar to Astral projection. They can go between worlds in the past and even in dreams because they're in a dream like body. Basically the idea combines elements of astral projection and inception. Its hard to tell if they're inside a dream or the real world but knowing that after they sealed the seven keyholes they're brought back to the present world. They still wear the bodies of their dream selves though because they're still projecting themselves. Which confuses Sora when the organization traps him inside a dream.

Wow. That big reveal at the end along with the creepy music playing.... Absolutely brilliant. I adore this game. It will forever be my favorite game series of all time.
It depends on how familiar you are with the game itself and the series, a veteran player could beat this game in about 10-15 hours. But 100%ing it would add on mayble another 5-6 hours. And then there's replaying it to make all the dream eaters. It's a fairly lengthy game, and one of the best 3DS games to own in my opinion.
***** Well you have to be a damn good at the game first to actually be able to do that. A normal gamer playing the game for the first time without 100% may take close to `15 hours maybe longer.

I love how shocked everyone was when Axel summoned his keyblade. Even Yen Sid was shocked. Either because he really didnt think Axel could do it, or he is Shocked on how quickly he summoned it. I know other people would think otherwise but I love that they brought him back and I love that they made him be able to wield a keyblade. I can't wait to see what they have in store for him in KH3.
Did Sora pop a molly at the beginning of this game or what, he's wayyyyy to happy and excited about everything. He kind of acts more childish than he does in the first game.
I personally thought Sora was kinda dull in the original game. He never displayed any type of emotion aside from the beginning and the end, other than that he was just neutral. Honestly Sora only seemed to start to show more of his personality in Chain of Memories, and mostly in KH2. But KH1? I mean, imagine if that were the only game that ever came out, can you really pick out any personality traits from him?
Briella Dorsey Well I feel like looking back on KH1 none of the characters showed a lot of emotion throughout the game. I attribute that to sub-par animation and cheesy lines accompanied by neutral expressions. However, Sora always seemed very laid-back, friendly, and a little kid-like. However he matured more throughout KH2 and CoM even though he was still very similar. But then in this game he was so exaggerated compared to the rest of the games, and so much more immature.
No matter what incarnations of Xehanort they face in future, Xemnas will always hold a special place with me. The character is straight-up awesome. And Paul St. Peter ROCKS as his voice actor. Any other Xemnas fans out there?
I don't get why so many people are upset at Sora not being the only keyblade wielder. There's twelve frikkin Xehanorts and no one bats an eye. There are supposed to be seven keyblade wielders and people lose their minds. I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm glad they are taking time for kingdom Hearts 3. Its a work of art that takes patience and much much understanding and hard work. I remember beating kingdom Hearts 1 and I KNEW there would be a #2! I loved it too :P
Now I realize that the problem I have with most animes, mangas and japanese games is the exposition. The sentence "show, don't tell" lacks a lot. I feel like they think of me as a dumb person by stopping anything to monologue about their plans and what's going on. I mean, Riku could have picked Sora while Xenahort was venting about Kingdom Hearts, then take Mickey and run. But no, you have to drop everything and listen the bad guy's monologue, or else. In fact, now I like Axel/Lea more than ever. He's the only one who doesn't care about what the bad guy has to say and acts before things go wrong.

1. I left the KH fandom at the age of 23. I missed a lot of the games in the past 6 years, so of course, up until now I didn't realize it. 2. If art school taught me anything is that the primary thing of a well written story is "show, don't tell". If your characters have to monologue about everything, it means you're too lazy to show most of it. Of course, sometimes we need an explanation, but this goes beyond absurd. 3. If you're going to come at me with "if this game taught me something..." then don't bother. Seriously, it makes your argument laughable.
I can't wait for KH3. I really wish Roxas, Axel and Xion would return and finally become people for real. But if it were to be true, I would wonder. What happens when Roxas and Ventus meets? Would it cause confusion to Terra and Aqua? I'd suggest they just become twin brothers. Easier to deal! lol
Axel, Roxas and Especially Xion could never come back. By a Nobodies very definition they are not meant to exist. They're existence is an impossibility. Axel was possible because he came from Lea. Which is why Lea is back. He must have somehow been able to regain his heart after he faded. Roxas took the form of Ventus because Sora regained his body and heart back. Roxas should not even have existed because a normal Nobody would no longer be present. This is why him and Xion had to return to Sora because without Roxas and Xion, Sora was a broken person more or less. Which is why it took so long for him to regain his memories. Xion and Roxas had them. Xion is another case altogether. The reason why Roxas was a mess is because Sora regained himself and also because Xemnas used Roxas to create Xion. When you think about it Sora split into three pieces. I'm not entirely sure why Xion was a girl though. Maybe its because of Kairi? Namine is similar to this and was also not technically an actual Nobody because Kairi was a princess of pure light meaning she didn't have a heartless. If they were ever to come back they'd be like Ghosts as shown in KH2 but I have a feeling once Ventus regains his heart they'll realize that Roxas was actually that part of Ventus' heart that was with Sora. Roxas probably wont even exist anymore. Same with Xion. The thing that gets me. If Roxas got his looks from Ventus...then where did Namine and Xion get their looks from?

It's true logically they cannot come back but I'm sure they'll make it happen somehow. For your question, Namine actually do look like Kairi. I just can't explain about the hair though…and her name… Maybe somebody else can explain? Xion was initially just a doll with no face but after she starts absorbing Sora's memories, to those with connection, will eventually see her as Kairi (Roxas, Namine, Riku for example). To Xigbar who has had memory of Ventus sees her as Ventus after some time. The rest without a connection would probably see nothing more than just a person under the hood. That's the explanation that I understand about her so far.

I think if they do ever bring them all back it'll be when Ventus and Lea meet again. Speaking of which I have a feeling that we'll probably have to fight Aqua in the dark realm... Shes been there awhile and we may have to knock her back into her senses. She probably did something to try and save Terra maybe? Pure speculation.
Onizuma13 at the end of Recoded it was stated that those that have both their Heartless and Nobody destroyed become a Somebody again, that was how Lea, Ienzo, Dilian, Aeleaus, Even and Xehanort were able to return in DDD (cant say about Braig and Isa, a lot of people think that they are still their Nobodies, Xigbar and Saïx)
Sora was the main character of the game, went after a girl that was with him the entire time, stabbed himself with a keyblade, almost turned into a nobody, fought crazy bosses, went through some deep shizz (being a kid) and yet riku was named the keyblade master cuz he saved sora from the guy sora beated multiple times. Yet sora is ok with everything. Sora is truly amazing
Xion isnt coming back people. She was a copy made out of a nobody. Not to mention she'd stand no chance against anyone being as how she's only a part of Sora. Not even half like Roxas is. So no, she isnt coming back.
You do understand that Xion was made out of Sora's memories. If she comes back, Roxas would have to come back. Technically they arent lost if all they've done is return to Sora. Xion isnt coming back.
Then here's a question. What hearts would Xion and Roxas possibly have if by chance they come back? All the hearts in Kingom Hearts belong to people who's hearts have already been stolen. And one doesnt simply just create a heart out of thin air in the KH universe so that would be out the question. You mentioned neither were happy to lose themselves but they accpeted that they were both part of Sora. Same with Namine. And then another matter is the whole 7 vs 13. If Xion Roxas and Namine were to come back, that would severely cripple the balance between light and dark. We already have our 7 Lights(assuming Terra regains his body and original Xehanort returns).

Ugh, screw Kairi man. I never liked her. She was literally just moral support, like a useless cheerleader on the sidelines. Then to recreate the original trio, they gave her a shoddy flower Keyblade. I just-- No, just, no. I'm stupidly happy about Lea being a wielder though. What a boss. Also super happy about the implications of Ven and Aqua coming back. Hopefully Terra will get some love too. Not sure if it's possible for him to come back, but I'd just be happy to see him more in KH3.

it's so interesting to see how sora and riku deal with people differently. like they both are kind-hearted, but sora's more jolly and trusts people easily, while riku's more reserved and does good things secretly. Sora's the type of kid who would be class president, while riku's that hot, quiet kid who you wouldn't expect to have so much depth and kindness to his character.
Zarah Stryker It gives a good example of what the heart's light and darkness are about. Light is freely opening your heart and connecting with others easily, and darkness is closing your heart and keeping your feelings secret. Though, Riku seems to have figured out how to stay connected with other people even with his heart shadowed.

I havent seen the DDD movie/plot yet, just wanted to note that about Sora and Riku from BBS!

So this is basically the prologue to kingdom hearts 3.

It's been confirmed that kingdom hearts 3 will take place right after dream drop distance and when you think about it the plot builds up so many events that are most likely going to be addressed in kingdom hearts 3 and also take note that kingdom hearts 3 is ending the xheanort saga as the next numbered title will most likely start off a brand new story. (Spoilers) In terms of plot dream drop distance tells us that xheanort wants to form the 13 seekers of darkness and the 7 guardians of light to forge the x-blade since that's how many fragments the x-blade was broken into at the end of the 1st key blade war, and keep in mind that someone needs to help get aqua out of the realm of darkness and its strongly suggested that ventus will most likely wake up and many of the 13 seekers of darkness at the end of dream drop distance were still covered up as well and most likely will be revealed in 3. That's what I think if you have a different preference well I respect it but to me this is what will most likely happen.
So this game is for kh3 what Com was for kh2

But I think kingdom hearts 3 only comes out for next gen consoles which sucks since the remixes are on ps3 and it will be a while till I can afford the ps4.

I really like final fantasy 14, because it makes me feel like I'm in another world, escaping reality (reminds me of SAO). But I hate how you pay $40 for the game itself, play for a month, and then you have to pay monthly to keep playing it which pisses me off. So I played it everyday on the first month to at least get my money's worth. (Sorry for the rambling)

Well Riku has both darkness and light in his heart and has perfect control of both. He is the only keyblade master to achieve balance between the two. So even if he does use darkness it means nothing will change about him. And not all darkness is evil, Terra used the darkness to protect his friends. Eraqus raised his keyblade against Ventus and Terra because he was blinded by the light. Riku is the least corrupt and the most in control of his actions of any character if you think about it.
And I like to think that it's no coincidence that he's also the only character to lose himself to darkness and then bounce back. Unless we count Terra, I'm not sure if he ever actually fell all the way. Anyways, Riku is proof positive that only those who have truly experienced Darkness can understand and control it. He's kind of like the Zuko of Kingdom Hearts, except not as whiny...

It happened early in KHII and then was explaned in detail later in the game. Just makes you wonder again how confusing and oftentimes stupid the KH plot is.

Here's how i see the final battle happening. First, Sora will retake the Mark of Mastery Exam while Riku and Mickey search for Aqua. Then Sora will release Ventus' heart back into his body, probably making him temporarily unable to use the Keyblade. But that comes into question when the ceremony comes into effect. Sora was holding/swining/grabbing/catching what was meant to be Riku's Keyblade in KH1. Before the Keyblade formally chose Sora, that possibly could've been the ceremony. So once he gives Ventus his heart back, he may still in fact be able to wield and keep the Kingdom Key.(So those who blindly claim Sora will lose his ability to wield the Keyblade, think about that).
The 13 Darkness and 7 Light will clash of course. Once Terra-Xehanort is defeated, someone will probably have to use their key to re-awaken Terra's heart since its asleep. Or another possible twist, Terra's light resides within his armor, so his armor might play a part in his revival. This leaves 8 on 12. Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lea, and King Mickey vs the remaining 12 Xehanorts. Once the other 12 Darkness are defeated, the 13 pieces of his heart will come together and revive him 1 final time. But the clash will lead to the completion of the X-Blade which the newly revived Xehanort will wield.
Now i know its 7 of light and 13 of darkness, but think about this. When the X-Blade was nearly re-forge from Vanitas and Ventus, Ventus shattered it a 2nd time. Who's to say that it didnt shatter into 8 light and 12 darkness. Thus, leading to the completion of the X-Blade after the semi-final battle. Now i understand that there's only 7 Princesses of Heart. But what if there were in fact, 8. Aqua being the 8th princess. What if she became a Princess of Heart once the X-Blade split the 2nd time. This would explain why she's able to straight walk around in the Realm of Darkness with no fear of being corrupted. *Exhales* Whew.

I agree that a lot of what you said is possible. Although I doubt Sora will retake the Mark of Mastery during the third game. From what they've shown it looks as if he's with Donald and Goofy again meaning that he's on the quest itself. Now its possible that by the end he's named a master anyway but I really doubt it'll be before. Another note is that they do plan to finish this segment of the saga because they announced that KH3 will be the final chapter of the dark seeker saga; meaning Xehanort will most likely be finally defeated or at least his story will close. This also means that they plan to start fresh after KH3 meaning that by those KH games that Sora will be a master. Or should be anyway. This also opens the possibility that Sora and Riku wont even be the main characters anymore. They may start us off with new Keyblade wielders and have Sora, and Riku or whoever survives be the masters of a new keyblade order.. but thats only speculation.
Onizuma13 That's very possible. I agree with if there are any more games, Sora and Riku will probably be teachers much like Xehanort and Eraqus were. Sora about the light and Riku teaches the dark side. Riku's already proven dark isn't always necessarily evil. Just the other side of light. That was Eraqus' problem. He believed anything in association with the dark needed to be destroyed.

John Smitherino it's not an exact quote lifted from Plato, but he says something very similar in the Republic. it's one of the major themes in his philosophy of education, that the soul is like 'soft clay' or 'soft wax' when a person is young, and therefore what the child is exposed to during that time is the most impactful on their personality and character later in life. So he says they should only be exposed to what is "good, true and beautiful" including nature and good role models.

So basically Xehenort is a paradox. When he became a heartless and no longer had a body during the events of the first kingdom hearts he traveled through time and possessed all of his selves at one point or another to gather information and put every self on the same page. This is mind blowing, because that means that the heartless version of himself already knew how to do this because his past self already knew all of what he had to do. This is how they are ALL able to gather at this certain point in time because they ALL knew already in the future (because they are currently possessed by heartless Xehenort from the first Kingdom Hearts at different points in time) despite coming from the future and or of the past. Even the heartless possessed Riku from the first Kingdom Hearts appears at one point to face off against this Riku.

For example his younger self knows to be there despite his past self not yet knowing because his heartless from the future already told him at this point. Of course they didn't know everything this is why they needed to possess Riku, steal Kairis heart, AND fuck with Sora so many times and why they had to mark Sora with that sigil. 3:40:00

He then claims to tell Sora all that he knows but the fact is that he isn't telling him that heartless Xehenort is currently possessing this version of himself. He kind of hints this at 3:41:30
He can predict events like Mickeys Stopza because versions of himself have already experienced it and thus knows when to be there.
Here's the kicker. Xehenort assumes that Sora will become a Vessel for darkness and this believe it or not may be true due to the fact that he already knows many future events. Kind of makes me wonder how they're going to do this.
I know this is long but I feel like I should clear it up since its probably a cause for a lot of confusion. What Sora and Riku are doing throughout this game is very similar to Astral projection. They can go between worlds in the past and even in dreams because they're in a dream like body. Basically the idea combines elements of astral projection and inception. Its hard to tell if they're inside a dream or the real world but knowing that after they sealed the seven keyholes they're brought back to the present world. They still wear the bodies of their dream selves though because they're still projecting themselves. Which confuses Sora when the organization traps him inside a dream.

It depends on how familiar you are with the game itself and the series, a veteran player could beat this game in about 10-15 hours. But 100%ing it would add on mayble another 5-6 hours. And then there's replaying it to make all the dream eaters. It's a fairly lengthy game, and one of the best 3DS games to own in my opinion.

I love how shocked everyone was when Axel summoned his keyblade. Even Yen Sid was shocked. Either because he really didnt think Axel could do it, or he is Shocked on how quickly he summoned it. I know other people would think otherwise but I love that they brought him back and I love that they made him be able to wield a keyblade. I can't wait to see what they have in store for him in KH3.

I personally thought Sora was kinda dull in the original game. He never displayed any type of emotion aside from the beginning and the end, other than that he was just neutral. Honestly Sora only seemed to start to show more of his personality in Chain of Memories, and mostly in KH2. But KH1? I mean, imagine if that were the only game that ever came out, can you really pick out any personality traits from him?

Well I feel like looking back on KH1 none of the characters showed a lot of emotion throughout the game. I attribute that to sub-par animation and cheesy lines accompanied by neutral expressions. However, Sora always seemed very laid-back, friendly, and a little kid-like. However he matured more throughout KH2 and CoM even though he was still very similar. But then in this game he was so exaggerated compared to the rest of the games, and so much more immature.
No matter what incarnations of Xehanort they face in future, Xemnas will always hold a special place with me. The character is straight-up awesome. And Paul St. Peter ROCKS as his voice actor. Any other Xemnas fans out there?

Now I realize that the problem I have with most animes, mangas and japanese games is the exposition. The sentence "show, don't tell" lacks a lot. I feel like they think of me as a dumb person by stopping anything to monologue about their plans and what's going on. I mean, Riku could have picked Sora while Xenahort was venting about Kingdom Hearts, then take Mickey and run. But no, you have to drop everything and listen the bad guy's monologue, or else. In fact, now I like Axel/Lea more than ever. He's the only one who doesn't care about what the bad guy has to say and acts before things go wrong.

1. I left the KH fandom at the age of 23. I missed a lot of the games in the past 6 years, so of course, up until now I didn't realize it.
2. If art school taught me anything is that the primary thing of a well written story is "show, don't tell". If your characters have to monologue about everything, it means you're too lazy to show most of it. Of course, sometimes we need an explanation, but this goes beyond absurd.
3. If you're going to come at me with "if this game taught me something..." then don't bother. Seriously, it makes your argument laughable.

Axel, Roxas and Especially Xion could never come back. By a Nobodies very definition they are not meant to exist. They're existence is an impossibility. Axel was possible because he came from Lea. Which is why Lea is back. He must have somehow been able to regain his heart after he faded. Roxas took the form of Ventus because Sora regained his body and heart back. Roxas should not even have existed because a normal Nobody would no longer be present. This is why him and Xion had to return to Sora because without Roxas and Xion, Sora was a broken person more or less. Which is why it took so long for him to regain his memories. Xion and Roxas had them. Xion is another case altogether. The reason why Roxas was a mess is because Sora regained himself and also because Xemnas used Roxas to create Xion. When you think about it Sora split into three pieces. I'm not entirely sure why Xion was a girl though. Maybe its because of Kairi? Namine is similar to this and was also not technically an actual Nobody because Kairi was a princess of pure light meaning she didn't have a heartless.
If they were ever to come back they'd be like Ghosts as shown in KH2 but I have a feeling once Ventus regains his heart they'll realize that Roxas was actually that part of Ventus' heart that was with Sora. Roxas probably wont even exist anymore. Same with Xion. The thing that gets me. If Roxas got his looks from Ventus...then where did Namine and Xion get their looks from?
Onizuma13 I do believe Square would make it possible for Roxas and Xion to come back. I'm not sure about Axel, and Namine though. It's true logically they cannot come back but I'm sure they'll make it happen somehow.
For your question, Namine actually do look like Kairi. I just can't explain about the hair though…and her name… Maybe somebody else can explain? Xion was initially just a doll with no face but after she starts absorbing Sora's memories, to those with connection, will eventually see her as Kairi (Roxas, Namine, Riku for example). To Xigbar who has had memory of Ventus sees her as Ventus after some time. The rest without a connection would probably see nothing more than just a person under the hood. That's the explanation that I understand about her so far.

Speaking of which I have a feeling that we'll probably have to fight Aqua in the dark realm... Shes been there awhile and we may have to knock her back into her senses. She probably did something to try and save Terra maybe? Pure speculation.
Onizuma13 at the end of Recoded it was stated that those that have both their Heartless and Nobody destroyed become a Somebody again, that was how Lea, Ienzo, Dilian, Aeleaus, Even and Xehanort were able to return in DDD (cant say about Braig and Isa, a lot of people think that they are still their Nobodies, Xigbar and Saïx)

Sora was the main character of the game, went after a girl that was with him the entire time, stabbed himself with a keyblade, almost turned into a nobody, fought crazy bosses, went through some deep shizz (being a kid) and yet riku was named the keyblade master cuz he saved sora from the guy sora beated multiple times. Yet sora is ok with everything. Sora is truly amazing

Xion isnt coming back people. She was a copy made out of a nobody. Not to mention she'd stand no chance against anyone being as how she's only a part of Sora. Not even half like Roxas is. So no, she isnt coming back.
You do understand that Xion was made out of Sora's memories. If she comes back, Roxas would have to come back. Technically they arent lost if all they've done is return to Sora. Xion isnt coming back.
Then here's a question. What hearts would Xion and Roxas possibly have if by chance they come back? All the hearts in Kingom Hearts belong to people who's hearts have already been stolen. And one doesnt simply just create a heart out of thin air in the KH universe so that would be out the question. You mentioned neither were happy to lose themselves but they accpeted that they were both part of Sora. Same with Namine. And then another matter is the whole 7 vs 13. If Xion Roxas and Namine were to come back, that would severely cripple the balance between light and dark. We already have our 7 Lights(assuming Terra regains his body and original Xehanort returns).
