I like how the conversion mod sabatoged Rome for EU4. If the converter kept Rome together like it should have it would have pushed through most of Asia by the end game
Yeah, I was worried about that, but was happy when it fell apart. On retrospect I prob should have set Rome to inherit the HRE mechanics when converting, but it worked out ok.
@@brunokopper100 You need to do it at the right date, since the game always starts in 867 your characters will be 300 if you ended your IR game in the 500s

Wow, for a game started in Imperator this turned out surprisingly great. With a little editing and pruning it would have been a perfect run. Macedonian culture completely dominating all of Egypt to the point Greece got independence in Egypt is where it kind of fell apart, but I love the Norse Iranians being a major power in Europe and the map is surprisingly sensible in some places it usually isn't. Caucoensia being part of Italian unification was also pretty horrifying. I feel like if this were vanilla Imperator the old world would basically just be ROMAN Greek and INDIAN culture and nothing else with Mithraism dominating like always.
Yeah, Invictus really did help improve it! There's an extended timeline mod for Imperator that might improve things further, but thats for another day!
@@labrynianrebel I think Christanity should be a rare spawn, its a pretty unlikely series of events after-all to be quite frank, based highly on the cultures of the time.
I like that the Italians basically got revenge on the north Europeans for destroying their Roman Empire in the EU4 and Vic2 eras by winning WWII and basically forming an alliance of authoritarian empires from across world cultures and colonising space to become the greatest galactic civilisation, not the best ending if you were a regular person, but damn does it make a great comeback story.
@@goose93not really. The Italians still called themselves Romans till the 1000s and the Italian dialects were all called Latin till the 1400s when the concept of a new Italian identity was finally introduced. So this alternative Italians would probably still call themselves Italians
Roman culture survived in Two Sicilies at the end of EUIV but Rome didn't so I'd consider it the successor of Rome at the time. Then the Two Sicilies conquered Italy and formed it in Victoria 2, then they subjugated the entire world in HOIIV. Roman Empire win?
Rome still existed as a tiny rump state that held onto power, I'd argue this was indeed while a roman cultured Italy, still ultimately an Italian victory, though in universe I imagine many people might make the connection.
This is the only mega campaign I have ever seen that starts in Imperator Invictus. People just didn't like the game, so I've never seen it integrated with the other 4 historical games.

Yeah I was raging this happened, but typical I guess. I ran the game on for several hours past this, but it was all stagnant, didn't improve or get worse.
The problem with these games is that it doesn't really accurately simulate empires. You and they get big and stay big. Not really historically, economically, or most importantly socially accurate. Succession crisis create civil war, which undoes stability and social and economic progress. Civilization ebb and flow

I only own Stellaris. Which of the Earth-based games would you recommend? I wish there was one that went from start to finish, e.g., Civilization, but RTS.
I would say EU4, you can take your country and conquer the entire world, only prob is there is a lot of DLC, but you could subscribe to them. CK3 is good too, and covers a good chunk of history but its more focused on your character and dynasty. Hoi4 is good, but focuses on a very brief window in time, Victoria albeit longer is similar (focus on economics). Imperator is dead unfortunately from PDX perspective, but the Invictus mod keeps it going, if that era interests you then u really on have to get the base game. NOTE: All these games be on sales regularly, so keep an eye out for a bargain!
Via the Ck3 to eu4 convertor. There's a link in the video description. Just play your CK3 game till 1444, save and then run the convertor. It will convert ur save into a mod for EU4. Load that mod and ur good to go!
@@Li12f12 did the convertor complete OK? Next check the output location, mod folder inside eu4 folder, inside pdx folder in your documents folder. Your "mod" should be there
@@Li12f12 if you load Eu4, edit a playset and select add mod, them it should pick up all available mods on ur pc. Sometimes I find you need to close all down again and relaunch b4 new mods show up in list
I don’t like that I Never see a conversion game in which Germany exists or gets United which is sad because it is one of the history changing nations in hoi4
@@GeneralPol I feel like Stellaris part wasn't interesting, but how you converted League of Emperors as a space nation with all the perks you choose was :) Also Imperator was interesting (Rise of Scythia and Ptolemaic Egypt), but Rome conquering them fully in CK 3 kinda ruined the timeline. I was expecting Fall of Rome not expansion, also I think the fact you didn't change Rome into HRE in EU IV was a mistake
@@Pigraider268 I agree with you on the Rome -> HRE, it'd something I'll do in future. The stellaris part I actually wasn't happy with either, ran it several times but it was no better, but I really wanted to have all 6 games included
It is really cool to see Stellaris represented, shame there isn't anything like a leger and charts to keep track of, at least without a mod anyway Plus I guess it's something where people wouldn't have any pre established relations or feelings to the other empires because they're all fictional

I dont think its the same Kush. Near the end of CK3, Kusumayudhid formed from Balasaghun, then when it converted to EU4 it became Kush

Via the Ck3 to eu4 convertor. There's a link in the video description. Just play your CK3 game till 1444, save and then run the convertor. It will convert ur save into a mod for EU4. Load that mod and ur good to go!
