Where in the beginning Marvin couldn't handle the fact that he lost to Whizzer who he had been belittling throughout the game and breaks up with him then and there, because he didn't see Whizzer as an equal before just Trina but can actually sexually satisfy him. Here in the tennis match he's putting in actual effort because he sees him as a person not someone that has to conform to society's gender roles. And when he loses he doesn't throw a hissy fit, he lies there and admits defeat. And even when he wins a round he doesn't boast "don't you think it's a blessing, I'm so pathetically bad" (Christian Borle's vocals are the best). Honestly good for him
