It's been over a year since I had it but I remember it was a collab with Brooklyn Brewery. Is that still the case? May explain why they were experimenting.

@@TheBierHooligan Okay I did some digging and it was, now it isn't, but the recipe is unchanged. Now try tap 6!

If you have ever had Brooklyn Lager and enjoyed it, then try this beer! As Mark said it is not the traditional weissen, but that’s exactly what I love about it. The hoppy flavor and aromas really make this so enjoyable. but be careful, the 8.2 ABV you’ll be feeling by the final chug.

Have you tried Holstein pills? That’s German. What are your thoughts. Also what’s the ideal way to pout a beer from a can or bottle. Someone said to pour it vigorously rather than slowly as the co2 does not break in the glass when you pour slowly. That then creates the gas to remain in the beer and consequently cause a bloated stomach. What are your thoughts on that or does it not make much difference.

I had 7 or 8 of it, i will not buy it again because it´s not what i expect of a Weizen, it´s more for the craftbeer community as the Tab 6. With the tab series Schneider Weisse started to go international because they export a lot wordlwide, but these beers are not typical German as we like it. In my opinion, and the most Germans would agree, Tab1 and specially Tab 7 are wonderfull. Tab7 is one of the best and most interesting wheatbeers we have so i most take this traditional tab7 in combination with the Weihenstephaner Vitus for a great wheatbeerenjoyment. I can recommend this combi.

@@TheBierHooligan I know Mark, i watched it again and yes, your judgement is right (in my opinion), so you know what i mean regarding the traditional taste & smoothness of Tab7. Just one of the most honest and hand-brewed beers i ever had, not filtered and not pasteurized, as it should be.

@@stephanbreme3317 I was not as big a fan of the Tap 4 either. Way too hoppy for me. Now Braupakt with Weihenstephaner and Sierra Nevada was surprisingly good and hopped.

It's a bit niche type of beer (it's a Weizenbock like the famous Andechs Weizenbock, not a Weissbier), but for me it's great.

This one is much to hoppy, it covers all the aroma of the yeast and the malt. But it works within 8.2% abv

I haven't tried this yet but that's my concern. Too hoppy, masking the flavours of what you want from a weissen.

I felt the way about tap 4 too. I get it for the labels and experience, but the hoppy ones are not my cup of tea.

There is nothing wrong with the beer. I prefer the old time weizen.
