Disney released James Gunn from doing GotG 3. James had already written the script. Kevin Fiege was pubically quiet when it happened. Not sure if that was Kevin's decision or if he was told to not talk about it. James Gunn apologized for his past and Kevin worked to get the door back open again. Warner Brothers was pursuing James Gunn because DC couldn't get anyone to take the job. I've met James Gunn, he was a very nice guy. I wish the best for him.
Loved the Guardians. Liked the 2nd couldn't watch the 3rd all the way through. Creature Commandos has been good so far with the exception of the music. Hard pass on that front. Peacemaker as well. Hope that doesn't continue with upcoming projects. For me its ruining an otherwise entertaining show.

While it is true that the jokes, regardless of when they were made, were in poor taste, it also has to be said that the people digging up those tweets were not doing it in good faith or to expose someone as some form of justice or community goodwill. These people had it out for him and were clearly driven to take energy they could've put towards something actually productive, just to bring down someone else out of pure spite, and I think that needs to be acknowledged. But I'm also pretty surprised at the vitriol directed at him regarding those jokes from that time because it's almost like people never watched any of his pre-Guardians filmmography. It was in league with Endgame and not even that movie was as good as Joker. The mcu is overhyped.

Bruh the GOTG trilogy was huge, he made obscure characters like Rocket Raccoon and Groot household names. How tf can you spin that as ruining everything he touches? Snydercultists are so annoying I stg. Bitter because most people didn't like Snyder's movies.
I assume you're just trolling because James Gunn is comic-movie genius. With the exception of a few misfires, Gunn is the king midas of action-comedies. DC was very, very lucky to acquire Gunn due to Marvel's idiotic wokeness. I've been saying this since 2022 and I'll keep saying it: watch DC overtake Marvel this decade. And the only reason they'll be able to do it is because they got guys like Matt Reeves and James Gunn at the helm.
