Yes. Your right. It is a world of emotions. My daughter in law got over there and had a huge melt down between the small motel and housing. Thank you all 3 for your service 🇺🇸👍

    Lavishly equipped!
In the private market there would be no furniture, no appliances and no kitchen units.
You "might" get lucky and have the last people leave the light bulbs!

Same with kitchens. Well, most people are likely to have anthing new that has to do with "body contact" and food: new toilet seats, new tubs and sinks, new kitchen..., especially when they know they shall be living there for a longer time. It depends on the building laws of the individual "Länder" whether there should at least be a basic kitchen in any property that is put on the market for rent.

Wow that is interesting. That is very different from the US. The house was furnished with temporary furniture that was loaned from the military. It will be returned once our furniture is delivered.

@@trailblazinpeppers That's exactly what I was curious about. ^^ If the military furnished your home. Because I've never seen that kind of oven/range in Germany. :) Thx for answering that and welcome to Germany! ^^

    Hello 😊
We’ll be stationed at Graf towards end of May, coming from Tennessee as well! We are looking into Netzaberg. It’s my husband, myself and 20 month old (in June). Would love to make some friends once there and any tips and advice on pcsing (our first duty station). Thanks!

Are you used to that heating system? If you have the feeling that the radiator in the upper floor stays too cold and makes funny, gargling noises, it needs to be vented. Air accumulates in the highest spot of the system, logically, and blocks the hot water from filling the radiator to capacity. And the noise is a nuisance. It is good that you have a spacious basement, not only for the dryer. You can easily get a big freezer and put it there.

Well, you're just station in germany and will move back to america in the end.
You should have tried to buy a home in america while interest rates are dirt cheap.

That’s one thing that’s hard about being in the military. Always moving.

@@trailblazinpeppers I agree with you on that one. If he's making a career in the military over the years your lives and locations change. Some soldiers elect to retire and stay in Germany. Speaking for myself I'm glad I never bought a house in the military. When it was time for me to get out I had already had many life changes. Thank you all for your service🇺🇸👍
