Very nice, granular really shines when you put a palette of samples or notes together to allow it to scan properly. And it kinda falls flat when there is only one bit of source material !
I don't even use Bitwig, just watching because I love granular processing! I use Pigments for this, and get very similar sounds. My thing is sampling VCV/Cardinal. Just record the whole patch but set all the quantisers to a single note C, really easy to make massive sounding pads, and then you can play back different chords. Sometimes I do the same thing with guitar effect patches, set up loads of granular/octave delays and record a single note to make pads. Some nice techniques available in Bitwig though.
Fantastic walkthrough! Thank you for an in depth step by step of this! Would you recommend using something like Scaler EQ to tame some of the harmonic content? Can’t wait to try this and maybe run it through Elektron Analog Heat +FX
That helps for single notes/layers, but when you already stack layers and play chords, it's overkill imho. But yea Voice Stacking allows for that layered control but per-voice..
@@DashGlitch I also miss those, even though I'm not able to watch them live. Would y´love to have a tune created by you witch is like Arutani - Trance is Psy :-)
I just got bitwig half off and I am loving it... except that I am having trouble creating sends....please help! I come from cubase... still using it but the bitwig sale was to tempting and there's a lot of stuff I love about bitwig except the send track trouble.
right click and create FX track, then on the inspector (left panel) of the selected track the FX send appears to the left of the volume. It's also visible in the main mixer window
Imagine switching DAW and rediscovering yourself. That's what Bitwig does.
True story
I think I have bitwig to thank for inspiring me to get back in to digital music production after several years. Hooked within a few hours
Couldn't agree more. My only regret is that I waited so long!

Very cool!! Thank you and happy birthday bitwig, i want the same jacket 😎
Add voice stacking, for each voice different modulation. It's next level.

Thanks for the helpful video! :)
