"Beasts of Doom "😁👍 Gorgeous! What a view! You are correct we do take it for granted... Seeing this pics of the places that people went daily in Ukraine ( the Gym , stores , homes etc...) that are totally destroyed. Really puts life in perspective. We are thankful as well. What a great tribuite! Anyone that left.....exactly "your loss". Gummed How Guardian Cows on the way in and out lol! Happy Birthday!
Thank you, good of you to watch and those pesky cows, I hate the bloody things - on a plate, surrounded by fries and mushrooms brilliant but not running wild on my trail lol! Cheers Alan
Alan turned cowboy cattle herder! Nice hike and adventure. The views from those high points are amazing. Ditto. Well done on wishing well to Ukraine. It is a sad thing going on over there. I hope for the best. Great hike and have a wonderful day.
Thanks very much for stopping by and man was I pleased when the farmer turned up with breakfast for those cows lol. Nice to be back out again, I have really missed it, cheers Alan
Oh yeah, I am fortunate to be able to do that and sometimes if I wake up early I just go, bit of a shock for Mrs Metalman when she wakes up but I always text he to say where I am. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
I'm off to appreciate Gummers How for the first time tomorrow. Been told about and seen pics of great views. After watching this I can't wait to get there. Thanks for the time you took to share your experience. Much appreciated indeed 🍻
Hope you enjoyed it! Sorry it has taken so long to respond but just back from holiday late last night. Fingers crossed you got some great weather to enjoy those great views. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
The cow pass was pretty hairy, beasts of doom made Kat laugh 🛑 🐄 Very bumpy ole path, such stunning views, what a morning for it Alan! 😍 The finger pointing 👆 We thought you might be trying to "phone home" ET style Lovley moment of reflection and respect for all the things we sometimes take for granted, given what is going on in the world, very lovely 💖 What a great summit and ideal first mountain and wainwright 👍 👌 ⛰ Looking forward to the next video already, love and hugs, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 😀 p.s Kat hates the cows to, hard to read them! Keep moving And be confident, easier said than done, well doen Alan!
I was bricking it big time on the way back down passed them lol but really enjoyable early morning, which left plenty of time to hit Rydal Caves and Loughrigg Fell too. Thanks very much for stopping by, real nice of you both, cheers Alan
This was so nice to join you on this walk up to Gummers How. I feel a bit sad when I see so many trees being cut down. The view from the summit is breathtaking and this is the perfect day, all sunny. Thank you so much for letting us join you and have a great week.🙂👍
Thanks very much for watching and talking the time to comment, real good of you. Always sad when you see a tree down, especially when you thing of the time it took to grow, cheers Alan
Absolutely stunning views on this one with a beautiful, heartfelt message & tribute to our friends of Ukraine. We always enjoy joining you, Alan. I'm glad you're cow 'friends' were friendly, I feel the same about Canada Geese, I love them but they scare the daylights out of me - I've been chased far too many times! 😉🤣 Have a wonderful day! -Jody
yes, me too, chased by some very aggressive young bullocks 6 years ago, never trusted any of them ever since. If was so nice to get back out again and 6 weeks sorting out family issues, so thank you very much for coming along with me, cheers Alan
I sure hope so but I always feel really alive when I am in places like this, also so happy there and so grateful to be there too. Thank you for stopping by, take care, cheers Alan
Just beautiful part of the world. Thanks for showing me a part of your area that I may not ever be able to see. Nice to see you back at it. I'm loyal and happy to stick with you brother!! Appreciate the friendship we're forming.
Glad you enjoyed it and real nice of you to watch and tag along. Thanks one of the things I love about TH-cam, seeing places that I can only dream about, cheers Alan
I hadn't heard of Gummers How until now, it's incredible. I often think the southern section of the Lake District gets overlooked. What an amazing hike! Thanks for taking us with you. It's so sad to hear about the conflict in Ukraine, the news is utterly heartbreaking at the moment. We often take for granted our freedoms in the UK, we're so fortunate we can roam and wander. Take care Alan, happy hiking! xx
Agree 100% on everything you said, never normally go to the Southern lakes as it puts on about 1.5 hours round trip from Co Durham but (cows apart) I really enjoyed the day. Thanks for watching, cheers Alan
Thank you very much, real nice of you to watch and leave a comment, very much appreciated and Whitesand is such an inspiration for me, his music matches the drama I see in the sky and the surrounding scenery when out hiking, I absolutely love his music. Take care, cheers Alan
Love animals but after a nasty scare 6 years ago, I am always very wary of cows, so always try and avoid them if I can. It did not spoil the day, as I still had a great time. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Gummers Howe, not one we've done so appreciate you filming this Alan! You had clear skies and amazing views! Yes, thoughts too for the people of Ukraine👍
Nice easy one Simon but with a great view and a nice free park, which is always a bonus, especially in the lakes lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
LOL! Out here where I am in the desert, we just walk through the cows and keep going. It's no big deal. LOL! I did enjoy the walk with you. Thank you for sharing this with us. Nice territory.
Haha, yes, I used to do the same but 6 years ago were were surrounded by 15 very aggressive bullocks and man did that give us a nasty shock. The only way out was 'thought' a 6 foot barbed wire fence and I go my brand new £200 coat ripped to shreds in the process, never forgive the little monkeys after that lol! Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Just goes to show you don't have to hike too high to get some incredible views. What a stunning walk. You had a beautiful day and you got to enjoy it on your own. Giving thanks is so lovely. My friend and i had a moment similar to you Alan when we were in the hills. Few tears were shed for the people of Ukraine. Thanks for sharing another stunning video. Say hi to Mrs Metalman as always 💗🥾
I still cannot believe what I am seeing on the news every night, heart-breaking for those poor people. Thanks for watching Emma and so nice to get out again for the first proper hike in 6 weeks, missed it so much but had to move my mother from the Midlands to a Care Home across the road from us, which took an age. Tying up my Tuesdays and Fridays now but real nice to know she is safe across the road from us. Take care, cheers Alan
Wonderful views up there Alan , well worth facing the 'beasts of doom' 😂 well done on the return journey 🐄🙈 never been on that walk, love it when you get a place like that to yourself, definitely on the list now 👍 Lovely heartfelt tribute, 😍 🙏 Thank you for a lovely tour, stay well 🐭 CMW
Thanks for watching and your lovely comment, yes, I was all parked by 08.00 so (apart from the cows) had the whole place to myself, which was real nice. Take care, cheers Alan
To close for me, I hate the bloody things, so always try and avoid them if I can. Nice to be back out for the first time in 6 weeks and this was a nice easy one to get back into it. Thank you so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Haha, I think I could handle ducks buy cows, I hate going passed, after very scary incident 6 years ago, I never trust them now, not matter if they are filling their bellies or not lol. Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan.
Awesome start to the day, free parking, you got some incredible views when the mist cleared! Finger pointing is always a must when hiking! We’ve never climbed this summit, it will definitely go on the list! Great music and reflection on the Ukraine, our prayers are with them! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
I felt like dancing when I found out the parking was free, very unusual for the Lakes lol. Yes, it's awful what we are seeing on the news every day, just wish we could do more and makes me even grateful for the peace we have in the UK. Take care and thank you for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Long may it remain Alan! 🙏 we are just back from three days hiking in the Lakes and yeah we are super chuffed that we did three classic hikes and didn’t pay for parking or risk a ticket on any of the days. (Did walk a fair few miles extra for it though, fun and games). Have an incredible weekend! 👍
Wow, how breathtaking! Oh, cows! 😊 It’s absolutely beautiful terrain there. You haven’t lost this subscriber, my friend. Thank you for taking us along! God Bless!
Thank you so much for stopping by and after a real scary incident 6 years ago I never trues them now. Good to know you were tagging along with me on this one, real nice of you, take care, cheers Alan
Lovely Spring light to show off the views Alan 🤗 Glad you managed to stick with the path and that the cows behaved themselves….nervy encounter! And on to your next mountain no doubt 👍
Thanks for watching Miriam and yes, I went on to Rydal Caves and then climbed Loughrigg Fell later on the same morning, had a real nice day, so nice to be back out again. Take care, cheers Alan
Cracking views Alan on beautiful morning. Never been up there, but it looks like a place I could sit for hours taking in those views. Nice touch mentioning the poor people of Ukraine, it is horrible what is happening over there and it certainly does make us appreciate what we have got. Pleased you got past the cattle safely both going up and heading back down. Great stuff. Cheers. Eddie.
Unbelievable wheat we are seeing on the news, so sorry for those poor people. Those cows were more interesting in their scoff than me, thank goodness, I dread walking passed them lol. Nice little Fell Eddie and a free park in the Lakes is always welcome. Thanks for watching, cheers Alan
I felt like dancing in the road when I found out the park was free, unusual for the Lakes but more of that pleased lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Have fun, it's a real nice Fell with great views and (cows apart) a nice easy walk with a free park, which is always a bonus in the Lakes. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Haha, yes! I felt more like Jane Bond going passed those cows, I never trust the bloody things, thank goodness for that farmer bringing their brekki! Thanks for watching Tony, cheers Alan
Great summit with awesome views. What a beautiful musical tribute and the summit hike to the people of Ukraine. Our heart goes out to them too. Hope the peace prevails soon. 🤞
Yes, it's so sad and seems to be getting worse, such an awful situation. I was lucky to be able to enjoy such a great day, something I give thanks for every day. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, great to have another video from you. I don't go down to the southern point of Windermere so it was great to see that fell and lovely views. I think we are all the same on the cow front, I am always weary as can do you some damage if they wish to. It is quite amazing just how amazing views you can get from many of the lower fells in the lakes, so accessible to most people and provide such great rewards. Great wok mate and certainly look forward to the Rydal video, take care.
Thanks for watching Steve and a first visit there for me and normally do not head down to the Southern Lake at all but I really enjoyed this little walk out, especially being tied up for the last 6 weeks, so nice to get out again, cheers Alan.
EE BAH GUMMERS Alan, that's a lovely video with wonderful views all round, especially of Windermere. You're right we are so blessed to be able to walk in such beautiful surroundings. Thanks for posting David. Now what was that song again? With a MOO MOO here and A MOO MOO there...........
Haha, yes, when I heard that moo moo, I stopped dead in my tracks, thank goodness for that farmer bringing their breakfast, or that may have been a very short walk lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
That's a beautiful summit Alan, even if it is a short hike to get there. The views are definitely worth the effort. Loved the music and story behind it. ✌
Thanks for stopping by Tony and a nice little hike after 6 weeks off with family stuff to sort out, so nice to get back out in the fresh air again, cheers Alan
Another great video Alan, another stunning location. You definitely had a lovely day for it, I'm the same as you buddy I always get a bit concerned walking past cows. Those poor people in the Ukraine I can't even begin to imagine its shocking. I'm a big believer in us being thankful for what we have and always count my blessings. I'm also a believer in karma, I'm sure those animals that are committing such atrocities will pay the price.
I sure hope they do Garry, I still cannot believe that I am watching on the news every night - awful! I did not mind cows till years years ago and had a real close call when a group of us got really shook up by a heard of very aggressive young bullocks. Thanks for watching, cheers Alan
Hallo Alan. You had a perfect day for hiking...frosty at the beginning but on sun it looks so different. Your choice of summits are always interesting and picturesque. This one is 👌. Take care and cheers. 🍻
Glad you enjoyed it and real nice that you took the time to watch and comment. Such a nice morning and I was parked up for 08.00 and had it all to myself, well, apart from a herd of cows that is lol! Good of you to stop by, cheers Alan
Free parking, nice wee stroll and fantastic views over Lake Windermere 👌 what more could you want Alan, great wee video and a heartfelt tribute to the Ukrainian people 🇺🇦 your right we are blessed with good health and the freedom to roam wherever we please, something not to be taken for granted, atb Brian 👍
Thanks very much for watching Brian and unusual to get a free park in the Lakes so I was jumping for joy, well, until I saw those bloody cows on my path! Nice to be back out again, first time in 6 weeks and man did I miss it, cheers Alan
What a view. Looks like a great view. Off to do this walk soon. Looking forward to it and this helps. Thanks for taking the time to share and enlighten us. But as for poor ukraine? They and them (the US) have brought it all upon themselves. This footage and the like may be all we have left to remind us of the beauty that surrounds us, in a few years this will be gone. Not because of global warming but because of the military complex that is forever expanding regardless of what life form it kills or exterminated Back to the heads up though. This looks like a great little walk with amazing views.
If you want a great hike with not much effort and great views this is a perfect hike and with free parking too as I remember. Those cows tend to be there quite a bit so (if like me) you are not a fan, keep an eye open for them Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
I like your style, going straight up the scrambly part! Wonderful views of the lake and countryside, especially after the clouds dispersed. Thanks for mentioning Ukraine, we’re praying for peace and for their safety 🇺🇦💙💛🕊 #nowar The music by Martynas Lau is perfect, inspiring and uplifting! I’ll check out his channel! 💕💖 ~ Jen
We are doing the same here Jen but feel like we should be doing so much more to help those poor people, awful what we are seeing on the news every night, I pray that it ends soon. Take care and thank you for watching, cheers Alan
Agree 100% Andrew, never been before but (cows apart) really enjoyed it and a real nice one to get back into it after 6 weeks off. Real nice of you to watch and comment, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Nice one Al - those cows ! Haha, I must admit there is always a feeling like they're going to trample me to death when I head through a herd. A great fell to summit and a lovely day. Don't worry about the subs mate - just enjoy the process of editing and making great videos and memories which you always do - that's all that matters. ATB pal - Chris
Yep, you are right there Chris and also about the cows as well. I was with a group 6 years ago and we have a very nasty encounter with a group of about 15 young ad very aggressive bullocks, never trusted any of them since. Nice to get there early and nice to go on to Rydal and hit the caves there, before climbing Loughrigg Fell as well, unsure what happened to the sun mind, think I left it behind on Gummers How lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks Nikki, real nice of you to stop by and yes, I hate cows, so never like to walk passed them, so I was real lucky I got to do it twice on one walk lol! Take care, cheers Alan
Great vlog and you survived the cows. Lovely fell Gummer's How and an easy walk but like Piccadilly Circus in the summer so going very early is a great idea. Look forward to seeing the next one.
First time for me but I heard it gets busy, so I was parked up for 08.00 and had it all to myself, well, apart from a herd of cows that is lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Awesome video.I love the idea of being able to drive somewhere get out and see a stunning view (bonus points for a cloud inversion as well). I dont mind the little walk afterwards either despite the cows :) Thanks for sharing these stunning views, hope you are having an excellent week, cheers from barnyz👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it and I did as well, minus the cows lol. Just wish I had managed to get there a bit earlier to see that inversion from the top of the summit. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Glad you enjoyed it and a real nice easy one with the bonus of a free park, that really lifted my spirits when I saw that lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheer Alan
It's a real nice easy one Des, especially with the work around at the top and the bonus of a free car park, I felt like dancing for joy when I saw that lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Are you also finding that retirement is the busiest time of your life, Alan? You are always working awfully hard, my friend but then yo uare doing what you love! It is great to discover places where I have never been.... one day you have to come and hike in Oxfordshire!!!! Wow, amazing images there.. thanks for sharing with us! Full view, of course!
Thanks very much for watching and yes, been real busy, as we have just moved my 92 year old mother up from the Midlands to a care home across the road from us, which is why I had not been out for 6 weeks. This was a nice easy hike to get back into it and I really enjoyed it, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Wow, 92... amazing! My dad is almost 95 and is also in a care home, not far from here my youngest brother lives, in Portugal. The most amazing place.............. we hope to be able to visit him again this year!!!!! Enjoy the good weather, my friend..
Clear sailing Alan after you got past the beasts of doom 😂. Love the areas with moss covering rocks and the bases of trees. Spectacular views as always. Thanks brother!
You and me both Doug, I hate the bloody things and could not believe it when they all across my path lol! Thank good ness for the farmer and their breakfast! Thanks for watching, cheers Alan
Great to have free parking! Love to see the cows just roaming around out there! What a spectacular area to go hiking and exploring! Hope all is well Alan! -Shannon
Thanks for watching Shannon and I felt like breaking into song when I realised the parking was free, not that keen when I saw the cows on my path mind eek! Thanks for stopping by, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Lol!! I am visualizing you singing songs of glee when getting free parking,..because that is exactly what I do too when I find free parking, and/or free park admission etc.! lol lol! ha ha!🤣😂
Unfortunately yes, which cost me the view of the inversion from the top, as I stood about 30 minutes waiting for them to move lol! Good of you to pop over, cheers Alan
Ah Alan so good to see you out again and sorry to hear you've lost subscribers but like you said, their loss! This was a nice hike with scary cows hehe and you only had a few hours sleep which I'm guessing was from the travel here.. We've had trees down in North Wales due to the storms like you had there. Sad to see. Loved the view when you got to the top at Gummers How ( if I remembered the name correctly!) and that was very touching when you talked about Ukraine and how they had this same freedom we have, only a short while ago and now they're seeing tanks, and then you said you're giving thanks daily for health, family, blessings and peace. I think you're right, we do need to look at the good that we have and focus on that and give thanks for that. Great song as well. Thank you and great to see you back out again 🙂👍
Thank you for watching and such a great comment, real nice of you. First time out for 6 weeks and I was so excited, I could not get to sleep the night before and felt dreadful when I got up lol. Things like are happening abroad at the moment make me realise at how lucky and fortunate we are, take care, cheers Alan
Another Wainwright knocked off mate, good stuff. It looked a very pleasant walk that apart for the dreaded cows! A nice sentiment to the Ukrainian people and a lovely score to accompany your message mate. We really do have to give gracy every day dont we. All the best mate 👍
Thanks very much for watching Ant and so nice to get back out again after 6 weeks of 'sorting stuff'. The cows almost spoilt the day but so pleased when I saw the farmer coming to the rescue lol! Cheers Alan
Thanks very much for watching Julie and real nice of you to leave a comment too. Must be honest and say I am guilty of leaving these smaller Fells but so pleased I did this one, real nice view, for very little effort and left me plenty of time to head over the Rydal Caves and then onto Loughrigg Fell too. take care, cheers Alan
The sun was great early doors and was supposed to last all day but sadly it disappeared when I got to my next destination, still I had a brilliant day out. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Glad you enjoyed it and so nice of you to stop by. Not the biggest of climbs but after 6 weeks off with family issues, just a nice little intro back to the Fells, cheers Alan
It's a nice easy one Mal and nice after 6 weeks off with family issues to clear up. Shame I missed the cloud inversion over Windermere from the summit but still enjoyed the morning out. Thanks very much for watching, chers Alan
Yeah, that didn't seem too challenging except for passing the cows, LOL. That was a beautiful hike with great views along the way and at the top! With the weather there being the way it is in the winter, it's hard to make videos consistently. I don't get why people can't just stick around and wait for you to put out more content. It doesn't cost anything, LOL. Thanks for sharing, brother.
Agree totally Eric but I just get on with it, especially when it could not be avoided, family issues always have to come first. Real nice of you to stop by, something I always appreciate, cheers Alan
Thanks for the kind words Tracey and real nice of you to watch. A perfect fell for the beginner, with a nice route around the small scrambley bit at the top, if you do not fancy that. Real nice views all around on the summit and a nice free car park too, take care and good luck, cheers Alan
Nice to see you back out again Alan, you will always be on the watch list in our house, whether you take a little break or not, we always enjoy your videos😊👍. Looked like a lovely day, and some fantastic views🤩. Worth running the gauntlet with the beasts of doom!🤣🐄. We also don't like cows, give us sheep any day! So incredibly sad what is happening in Ukraine, you are right it's hard to imagine what the people of Ukraine are going through right now, think it has been on a lot of people's mind recently and it does make you feel so grateful for the simple things in life 🇺🇦. The music you used was beautiful. Hope you are well and have a lovely weekend, ATB Shell and Pete
Thanks very much for watching guys and I appreciate your kind words. I was all parked up at 08.00 and was happy as Larry at a free park, then saw those cows EEKK! Thank goodness the farmer came with their breakfast lol, cheers Alan
Nice video Alan. I was there a month or so so ago. It was my first time there. Nice little hill with good views. It was busier when I was there mind. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
Thanks for watching Al and I think it was about 08.00 when I got there, so nice and quiet - well, until I saw and heard all those bloody cows lol. Cheers Alan
What a beautiful video!! And it definitely made me tear up when you dedicated it to the people of the Ukraine 🇺🇦 Definitely understand your dislike of the cows close to the trail…. We just got stuck in deep bog in Wales trying to circumvent a large group lol, frustrating at that moment but funny now 😜 Cheers!!!
I was never bothered about them till we have a real nasty incident 7 years ago and never trust them now - thank goodness the farmer came along with their breakfast lol. Thanks for stopping by, cheers Alan
Good to see you back Alan, nice touch on the tribute to the poor souls in the Ukraine at the moment, makes us all realise how lucky we are that we can just go to beautiful spots like the lake district without the worry of being bombed. On a lighter note the cow thing makes me laugh. All the best Marc.
Haha, I was not laughing at the time and so pleased the farmer cam along with their breakfast or it would have been a very short walk lol. Thanks very much for watching Marc, cheers Alan
Great video Alan. Loved your comments at the top about Ukraine and thankfulness and thought you were spot on. I was wondering when you got to the top "what's he going to do for the rest of the day" but then you told us you were off to Rydal so looking forward to that instalment. As for the cattle, I think I need to get Andrea to give you some basic training!! I did laugh at your apprehension and comments. Never been to this fell, but you got great views for very little effort and lots of space for families indeed. Regards, Ashley
A nice recover walk before hitting the Windermere shops for Andrea I think and a free park is always a bonus, especially in the Lakes. Yes, I was parked up at Rydal at 10.00 for hit the caves and then went to Loughrigg Fell and still only just passed dinner time when I got back to the car, cannot beat an early start. Thanks very much for watching and I will be taking notes when you come over next! Cheers Alan
First time for me too Ian and a real nice easy one, made even better when you get a free car park too, always a bonus, especially in the Lakes. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Fantastic views, as always Alan. Looked a cold start though. And yes, the poor people in Ukraine deserve any help that we can give them. When you have a smallish channel you notice the lost subscribers - I do anyway :) Keep walking... all the best, Rob
It was a real cold start Rob but as the sun rose so did the temp to a toasty 6C lol. Nice views from there mind, first time there for me and nice one to get back out hiking again. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks so much for watching and what a canny little walk that was, really enjoyed it (cows apart) and when you get free parking too, always a bonus lol, cheers Alan

Another lovely place to walk Alan especially with a family like 111 with a full 9:55 minute view
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Just beautiful part of the world. Thanks for showing me a part of your area that I may not ever be able to see. Nice to see you back at it. I'm loyal and happy to stick with you brother!! Appreciate the friendship we're forming.
Glad you enjoyed it and real nice of you to watch and tag along. Thanks one of the things I love about TH-cam, seeing places that I can only dream about, cheers Alan
Hello my friend what a beautiful morning for a walk,Moo 🐮🥰 the music was beautiful 👍🏼the views of the water in the distance.🤗🙏
Haha, yes, I hate cows after a very scary incident 6 years ago, so never trust them now. Real nice of you to stop by, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Its a great capture of this beautiful and amazing view of the place I love to watch this thanks fir sharing and touring us
Real nice of you to watch and leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Hello Alan METALMAN!
Thank you for showing me a nice video! I was very healed! Have a nice Sunday!
Thanks, you too! Real nice of you to watch and leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
If it wasn't for whitesands music, I would not have found your channel, your videos are great, the views are great too! 🇨🇦🇺🇦😻❤️
Thank you very much, real nice of you to watch and leave a comment, very much appreciated and Whitesand is such an inspiration for me, his music matches the drama I see in the sky and the surrounding scenery when out hiking, I absolutely love his music. Take care, cheers Alan
Nice frosty morning. We have issues with falling trees here too. Especially in burn areas. I love how you come onto animals
Love animals but after a nasty scare 6 years ago, I am always very wary of cows, so always try and avoid them if I can. It did not spoil the day, as I still had a great time. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Very atmospheric and picturesque bud, sound effects are just stunning. Hats off!!!
Thanks for the visit, real nice of you and something I appreciate, cheers Alan
Gummers Howe, not one we've done so appreciate you filming this Alan! You had clear skies and amazing views! Yes, thoughts too for the people of Ukraine👍
Nice easy one Simon but with a great view and a nice free park, which is always a bonus, especially in the lakes lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Like 103 DEAR Alan ,,,,
Nice upload! Magnificent views surrounding the place!
Many thanks, real nice of you to watch and real nice to get back out hiking all be it a small hike, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN ah you must be over the moon Alan to have her home. You've been missed on TH-cam but you're back now 💃💃💃💃
@@emz_adventure - yes, can relax a bit now and thank you :o)
Wonderful views up there Alan , well worth facing the 'beasts of doom' 😂 well done on the return journey 🐄🙈 never been on that walk, love it when you get a place like that to yourself, definitely on the list now 👍
Lovely heartfelt tribute, 😍 🙏
Thank you for a lovely tour, stay well 🐭 CMW
Thanks for watching and your lovely comment, yes, I was all parked by 08.00 so (apart from the cows) had the whole place to myself, which was real nice. Take care, cheers Alan
A beautiful day to be at the top of Gummers How! and those cows were close!
To close for me, I hate the bloody things, so always try and avoid them if I can. Nice to be back out for the first time in 6 weeks and this was a nice easy one to get back into it. Thank you so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
4:25 That look's incredible ...... 8:23 Thank you ..... I get a little nervous just from walking through a group of ducks.
@@AlanMETALMAN Oh no, a scary incident doesn’t sound good! Glad you made it out of there.
Nice hiking and fantastic view my friend. Beautiful colors. 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it and real good of you to watch and comment, something that I always appreciate, cheers Alan
Love the free car park mate 👌that is a fantastic view mate! Magnificent day with beautiful sunshine 🌞 perfect, man ❤ 👍
I felt like dancing in the road when I found out the park was free, unusual for the Lakes but more of that pleased lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great video will be following in your foot steps very soon in hope of catching some low flying aircraft and of course them views.. 👍
Have fun, it's a real nice Fell with great views and (cows apart) a nice easy walk with a free park, which is always a bonus in the Lakes. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Going on the TV now Alan, can't wait to see how your day unfolds, free car park...off to a great start! 📺 ❤👍☕
I was dancing in the road when I found out the parking was free LOL!
Mint!! - Loved the drama with the cows - it was like watching James Bond! Quality as ever - T🙂
Haha, yes! I felt more like Jane Bond going passed those cows, I never trust the bloody things, thank goodness for that farmer bringing their brekki! Thanks for watching Tony, cheers Alan
Always here Alan amazing country side beautiful hike. Stay safe my brother and always a full view.
Cheers Mike
That's good of you Mike and I appreciate you stopping by, so nice to get back out again, really missed it, cheers Alan
Excellent views. Great sharing. Stay connected 🎥❤👍🏻
Thanks and sure thing, appreciate you stopping by and thank you for taking the time to comment, real nice of you, cheers Alan
No hikers like cows on the path. Spectacular views. Inspiring and dramatic indeed! really enjoyed this
I was never bothered abut this time a nasty incident 7 years ago, now I never trust them. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Not because of global warming but because of the military complex that is forever expanding regardless of what life form it kills or exterminated
Back to the heads up though.
Thanks for mentioning Ukraine, we’re praying for peace and for their safety 🇺🇦💙💛🕊 #nowar
The music by Martynas Lau is perfect, inspiring and uplifting! I’ll check out his channel! 💕💖 ~ Jen
We are doing the same here Jen but feel like we should be doing so much more to help those poor people, awful what we are seeing on the news every night, I pray that it ends soon. Take care and thank you for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Agreed. 🕊
Love this little fell mate great way to spend an hour or two....
Some beautiful yet hairy spots , Alan. Awesome countryside. Thanks for sharing. Take care and God bless.
Lovely walkout to enjoy with the family - like 91 Alan with a fv as always
I will be back Mark in the summer with my grandkids, no doubt about that. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Fantastic video. Pencilled it into my satnav. As always informative, true gent. Salt of the earth pal! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it and a real nice easy one with the bonus of a free park, that really lifted my spirits when I saw that lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheer Alan
Windy but such a gorgeous view, hard to believe it's only a 15 minute stroll. We've missed seeing you! Welcome back my friend!
Thanks very much for stopping by and having to sort out family issues took 6 weeks, so it was real nice to get back out again. Take care, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Hope all is well!
Hi Alan! Maybe a short walk, but definitely sweet👍 Some great views considering the elevation! I reckon Maria would enjoy that one! All the best👍😊
Maybe small but still what a view and the skies are just gorgeous
If was so nice to get there early and have the whole summit to myself, mind you, thank goodness cows can't climb :o)
Oh no, those damn cows ! You were pretty brave right walking right next to that one. Ha ha. Nice hike!
It was but I never trust those 4 legged monsters lol! Thanks for stopping by, cheers Alan
Love the view from up there and no I never take them for granted. Excellent video!
Thanks for watching Ji, real nice of you and a reminder on how lucky we are I think, take care buddy, cheers Alan
I am visualizing you singing songs of glee when getting free parking,..because that is exactly what I do too when I find free parking, and/or free park admission etc.! lol lol! ha ha!🤣😂
Your videos are an incredible journey ALAN METALMAN. My respects always my Brother🤜🤛👍👍👍👍
I appreciate that, real nice of you to comment and stop by, cheers Alan
Nice one Alan, great little fell that and what a cloud inversion you had over Windermere. I see the cows are still there too lol 😮
@Alan METALMAN - Outdoors Alan that is so so true
Another Wainwright knocked off mate, good stuff. It looked a very pleasant walk that apart for the dreaded cows!
A nice sentiment to the Ukrainian people and a lovely score to accompany your message mate. We really do have to give gracy every day dont we. All the best mate 👍
Thanks very much for watching Ant and so nice to get back out again after 6 weeks of 'sorting stuff'. The cows almost spoilt the day but so pleased when I saw the farmer coming to the rescue lol! Cheers Alan

Not many people bother with the lower wainwright's, nice to see you have walked one and recorded it.
Beautiful wasn't it 😍
Thanks very much for watching Julie and real nice of you to leave a comment too. Must be honest and say I am guilty of leaving these smaller Fells but so pleased I did this one, real nice view, for very little effort and left me plenty of time to head over the Rydal Caves and then onto Loughrigg Fell too. take care, cheers Alan
Awesome views and hike, Alan. A little more sun on this one than a lot of your trips. Great stuff.
The sun was great early doors and was supposed to last all day but sadly it disappeared when I got to my next destination, still I had a brilliant day out. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Does look a good family hike that mate, the dreaded cows , I hate walking past them 🐄 🐮, stunning views as always , take care mate 👍 atb
Thanks for watching Gaz and bad enough going up and I could not believe they were still the on the way down lol. Cheers Alan
Another amazing video and suuper informative. Thank you so much for sharing it, was a pleasure to watch it, as always :)
Glad you enjoyed it and so nice of you to stop by. Not the biggest of climbs but after 6 weeks off with family issues, just a nice little intro back to the Fells, cheers Alan
Another cracking video, Alan. Great conditions (I'm jealous) and views. I must do this walk one day. Keep 'em coming.
It's a nice easy one Mal and nice after 6 weeks off with family issues to clear up. Shame I missed the cloud inversion over Windermere from the summit but still enjoyed the morning out. Thanks very much for watching, chers Alan

Well done for getting past the Beasts of Doom Alan!👀😂Fantastic views over Windermere👍👍
I was bricking it I can tell you, thank goodness their breakfast arrived lol! Thanks for watching Anthony, cheers Alan
Looks another beautiful area you brought us too Alan
Glad you enjoyed it and nice of you to stop by, I always appreciate it, cheers Alan
Them pesky cows 🤣🤣, good little video ,a fell I will have to put on my list as I'm a beginner. Being looking forward to an instalment from you.x
Thanks for the kind words Tracey and real nice of you to watch. A perfect fell for the beginner, with a nice route around the small scrambley bit at the top, if you do not fancy that. Real nice views all around on the summit and a nice free car park too, take care and good luck, cheers Alan
Thank u Alan, hope you and your lovely wife take care too, and have some lovely walks planned for the summer ahead.x

And it definitely made me tear up when you dedicated it to the people of the Ukraine 🇺🇦
Definitely understand your dislike of the cows close to the trail….
Cheers Alan
Great video once again Alan . I've never done Gummers How but may give it a go now .
First time for me too Ian and a real nice easy one, made even better when you get a free car park too, always a bonus, especially in the Lakes. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan

Welcome back and thank you very much, real nice of you, cheers Alan
Fantastic views, as always Alan. Looked a cold start though. And yes, the poor people in Ukraine deserve any help that we can give them. When you have a smallish channel you notice the lost subscribers - I do anyway :) Keep walking... all the best, Rob
It was a real cold start Rob but as the sun rose so did the temp to a toasty 6C lol. Nice views from there mind, first time there for me and nice one to get back out hiking again. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
