When he hit on this drivethru salvation offered to seeker sensetives; I about came out of my skin. I have RAILED AGAINST the Billy Sunday inspired "Sinner's prayer" which has produced MILLIONS of false converts that HAVE NO IDEA that they have never had a 1 on 1 EXPERIENCE bwith the Savior. Dear Jeremy Combs, I also have had great suffering rejection loneliness depression in my life. When I was in that pit I began to realize that I could not stay there and die though I wanted to. I began crying out to the Father God and Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I began to slowly come up from the weight of that dark swamp. It was like God reached his hand down to me but I had to reach up and grab His Hand and let Him pull me up into the light. As I lay on that bed I listened to hours of worship music day and night. Discernment comes from maturity. And what is maturity? It has nothing to do with age. Maturity, I believe or at least revealed to me by the Holy Spirit is revelation. Going from a place of things that were hidden from you to things be revealed..A good reference might be all of chapter 13 of Matthew. You might have questions on Matt 13. I WILL OPEN MY MOUTH IN PARABLES I WILL UTTER THINGS HIDDEN SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. What was hidden? This talks about the tares of which Roth is.
Hiding/revealing? How many verse and sections in the Word does it have of God in the cloud? Moses going up the mountain to talk to God on Mount Sinai, tribes of Israel led by God in the desert by a cloud, the transfiguration of Jesus and God speaking to them from a cloud, Christ returning in a cloud.
Cloud why? Such a great picture/metaphor of God. What does a cloud do when you see it pass, especially a big one? It REVEALS itself. Simultaneously what else does it do? It HIDES whatever is inside and behind it. God both hiding and revealing.
We are living in dark times and the deception will only get worse. The greatest evil will present itself with the face of good.
