If you subscribe to the 3 year old bounce theory Seize the Grey was a lock in the Pat Day Mile as his form said a big move was coming. Then to run him back 2 weeks later proved the theory accurate. When a horse enters peak form at the right time you run him back. Coach knew this and that’s why he entered him in the Preakness.
he is definitely not a miler and loves the distance. Has great stamina.. you look and both his most recent flat efforts were at Keeneland. He for sure does not like that track. In the bLue GRass he got squeezed back at the start
I wonder why the head on angle was not shown in his Blue Grass trouncing. I saw it and he was clearly roughed up at the start and it appeared to me he was taken out of that race early.
He pretty much didn’t like the Keenland track surface for the Bluegrass. I’m throwing that one out. He obviously preferred Churchill’s surface much better.
Horrible rides in the two preceding the Pat Day. Pulled up early in the bluegrass, Fighting the jockey into that first turn. The race before, pulled up on the stretch between turns which set him back, broke rhythm. Horse needs to be allowed to just go. Breeding gets the distance. Lucas complimented the jockey post pat day for riding just as requested. When you watch this horses results between the two jockeys and the trips given it's clear what's been holding him back. Should be near the front lingering in the Preakness and get into the money
Colt is getting 8 pounds in the Preakness, has not toted the lead! The Pat Day mile was a good race, with decent horses. I think he got pushed over in there too! They are pushing my Racehorse folks for more ownership for Lucas and others! Who Dey should have won that race, was raced pretty easy in the lane. Horse has NO SHOT, I repeat NO SHOT in the Preakness!

That's my boy!

Wins easy wire to wire in the Preakness F me unbelievable! Game is rigged!
He's a sprinter/miler
Trained by the coach...not owned.
We know, just misspoke.
D. Wayne Lukas does not own Seize the Grey. He is the trainer. MyRacehorse owns the horse. Please fact check. Thanks!
Easy there, just a misspeak.
😊
@@rightatthewire okey dokey, keep up the good work!
