    The push buttons have issues. Had a friend couldn’t start his Ram because the power box shorted out. I’ll take a key any day.

    I have a 2018 GMC Canyon All Terrain 4x4. V6....It's been an outstanding truck! Zero issues and i pull my travel trailer with it.

      What size TT? Looking to downsize from my Ram 1500 v8 to tow my 29ft 5600 dry weight TT. I don’t pull it more than 100 miles 2-3 times from home

    Dude. The less tech- the more reliable.
    I’ve had Toyotas for a while- damn things won’t die. But I’ve been considering a GM truck cause the tacomas are so expensive. Hopefully this truck is super reliable.

    Great review! Don’t be too upset about the push start and mirrors! The less electronics, the less issues in the long run 🎉

      That's why I hate that car brands want to get rid of manual transmissions. Those 8 and 10 speed schmamumatics are EXPENSIVE to repair. And why is it that when one is recalled, it's never ever a small amount? When MINI recalled its transmissions, the WHOLE model year was affected. I was so glad I had a 6 speed stick otherwise, I'd be in line with thousands of owners nationwide. And yes, the tranny maker got sued in court. I'm sure they had pay up under lemon laws. The brands don't want to make a simple 6 speed auto. Nooo, it's gotta have the damn linkage belt to make it smoother. Big effing deal, I don't care if I feel the tranny click when it shifts. Toooo many people are hypersensitive and demanding about cars and that's one reason they're becoming unaffordable. I searched online for two weeks for a car and they're all overpriced because there's so much bling on them like GPS, the silly transmissions, massaging heated seats and more. The current car I have (A VW) if bought new, would cost me an extra $5,000 in the exact same trim with the same options. Ridiculous. Just greed, pure greed.
      If I could get rid of the bling from a brand new Canyon Elevation, it would save me over $4,000. Tell me, would you ignore $4,000 in cash sitting on the street? That's why I won't buy a car this year. Too much overpriced crap being put on them while the brands refuse to make them optional.

    Gotta have a keys for other things, so could care less if my vehicle has a key or a button, but I'm old school too.

    I just bought a new 2022 GMC Canyon Elevation 4x4 long bed with leather loaded I love my truck but I had to put a leveling kit on the front 2'' to make it set and look right the only problem I hate is no push button start , I love my truck but I wish I would have waited on the 23 Models, the only problems I hear people having is not changing the oil sooner I'm getting ready to get my second oil change but i'm doing it at 4000 miles not what GM says to do but I want my Motor to last great video letting people know the good and bad

      Thank you!! Appreciate the good words. Sounds like you have a great truck - good choice on the 4x4! Totally agree on the push button - leveling kit is definitely something a lot of people do. 👍🏻👍🏻

    I have the same truck blue coloured, but with longer bed and extended cab. And honestly the least options a truck has the better. It doesn’t bug at all

    I like the truck. Tacoma has dominated for so long but GMC has given customers another option. Good review and yes 4x4 is a must

    I’m assuming you have Elevation Standard, so it didn’t come stock with power mirrors which other trims do have like mine. Also completely disagree about push start on a canyon. It’s a pickup truck that’s still a work truck that doesn’t need push start since it’ll just be more electronic stuff going out later on, and it’s completely unnecessary. Keys in trucks have always worked and shouldn’t be replaced by buttons.

    Great review Jared and Jacob! I have always been a fan of GMC. The color is beautiful. That’s a really nice truck for a teenager. The rake on your truck is very slight and agree you don’t need the 2 inch leveling kit. We did it for our Toyotas because it was so extreme. Our Jeep truck is only 1/4 inch front to back so we opted out. What’s the mileage like?

    Hi has your son had any issues with his canyon? How reliable has it been for him so far?

    • @GuysTalkingCars
      @GuysTalkingCars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jason! So our Canyon story started with buying a 2019 “lemon law” return for a deep discount. But the electronics acted up the very next day and we retuned it and opted for this brand new 2021. After 17,000+ miles no issues at all - just an apple car play connection issue that the dealer solved. Other than that this was my son’s daily for almost two years. I personally drove it from CA to Utah and back as well and it rand like a champ and was super comfy - no complaints at all. But, our story with the car ends there since my son just sold it. So, we can only report on that 17,000 mile ~2 year experience . . 👍🏻

    I love my 2021 GMC Canyon Elevation as for push buttons i disagree many of my friends had their trucks & cars stolen easily! A beautiful mix of old and new esp the automatic press childlocks that my sister doesn't have on her Tacoma lol

    I would knock on the key start ignition to much the push start keyless fob signals can be hacked and someone can literally tape into your constant signal between your fobs and your truck and program a fob of their own and take your truck

    • @GuysTalkingCars
      @GuysTalkingCars  ปีที่แล้ว +1
