Wonderful family recipes from your mom, such a treasure.❤️ I grew up in the 60’s and most times your church would put on a luncheon for the family after the funeral. Or many times your neighbors would bring food to your house so the family had cooked food ready. Funeral potatoes was an easy popular dish to make at that time, that is where the name Funeral Potatoes came from. I forgot to mention that I used left over cereal in the bag and crush it to use as a topping for casseroles. I think since Covid people have changed how funerals are handled. Even weddings are done different. Both occasions are so expensive people are using cheaper options. That is why David’s Bridal went out of business after 70 years, opened in early 1950’s. Have a great day Ang.

❤❤❤❤ Ohhh wow... I use to raise and train Boxer's!! I did so for many many years.. I sold some.. It was very hard for me to do 😂😂 sell them I wanted to keep them all.. 😅❤️🌹 I had 11 at one time all in the house my house was still spotless you could not tell I had any dog's at all and they were all bathed often.. People who bought them loved my dogs often coming back for another.. They were very well trained.. I've trained many breeds all of my life starting very young. But Boxers are my absolute favorite my last one died at age 14 which is very rare.. But they all lived a long time.. It took me a long time to buy another dog but I did 5 year's ago we got a Catacahoula she's super smart too.. One of a kind really.. She does the funnest thing's.. I am getting another boxer soon as we get moved across the street from my daughter.. I'll also be showing her your recipes... She will love them.. Her family will as well!! ❤

@@rickyclark4870 we love our boxer girl. She is our 3rd. We had two boys which we loved but unfortunately they died around 7 years. So awful. Missy May our current boxer just turned 7 so were just waiting for the ball to drop. She seems super healthy and so far no signs of anything concerning other than she's attached to my hip these days. lol Thanks for sharing your boxer story!💛

This takes me back. My mom made a version of your frito casserole. 1 can crm mush soup, 1 soup can pace picante sauce, shredded chicken, 1-2cups shredded cheddar cheese mixed and placed over Doritos in a casserole. My brother also adds a jar of queso and it’s extra creamy. I’ll give your moms a try. Sounds yummy 😊

The Hungry Jack casserole is also appealing to me because I love ground beef, BBQ sauce and baked beans. The only thing that's missing from my childhood favorite flavors is fried potatoes so maybe I'll try to make a casserole that includes that as well.

Love all these! I would guess the Hungry Jack name came from the brand of biscuits-I looked them up because I remembered that being the popular brand when I was growing up. The ad image online actually said “vintage” 1978. I graduated from high school that year, so I guess I’m older than dirt and definitely “vintage”. 😂. Thanks so much for sharing these from your precious mom. ❤
