Thank You! As with most everyone in this hobby, I do have my days, some good, some bad. Generally speaking though, the times when I do get frustrated with a build I set it aside for a bit. After maybe a day or so, I will come back to it a with a level head and figure out a solution to the issue. Thank you for the kind words and for watching my channel.
Thank You! With a little effort these do build up into a nice looking kit. When I was first looking at the tire choices in the box I didn't really like the two options. This is a four wheel drive vehicle and to me that screams "All Terrain Tires!". So, I was glad to discover that the Dakota tires would fit. Thanks For Watching!
Looks great, I have this same kit in my stash, I'm looking forward to doing mine, now,. I didn't think I'd like the color when I first saw it, but the completed model looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the sub! I have used a dehydrator in the past but when it finally died I just never replaced it. I use hot tap water now and that works fairly well. Thanks for watching!
AMT kits can be a bit of a rough one. I've yet to have one go together with out some kinda problems.. It's just how they are. But I'm very impressed with your build, very nice.. And your tires choice is definitely the way to go.👍 Nice work and I enjoyed your build up and your video. Appreciate you taking the time to share it with us.👍🇺🇸
Thank You Again! This did have a bit more of a challenge than I expected. It wasn't anything to overwhelming though. When I first looked at the tire choices that were offered I knew that I had to come up with something better. I am grateful for TH-cam's existence so that I can share this hobby with you all. Thank you again for the kind words and for watching my channel.
Thank You! There are a plethora of color combinations that could be done with this kit. Are you planning on a light or a darker shade of Ochre? Either way it should look great! Good Luck on your build!!
@@scaleautoguysworkbench as close to the factory color as much as possible. I agree with you on having small tires but I may go that route just to maintain that dealer new appearance
@@ruckusrodkustom8140 I thought about having the small tires on for a "new" appearance but only for a moment. I wanted it to look like a "new" truck that the owner immediately upgraded the tires on when he added the lift kit. Either way looks good.
Thank You! I try to do the best that I can. I'm not the best out there but, not to sound arrogant, I do strive to be the best I can. ( Wow! I sound like a military commercial, Geesh! ). Anyway, Thank you for the kind words and for watching my channel.
Thank you for watching! That kit might not be there the next time you go... If you miss out on it you can always get it through the Walmart site. Good Luck!
Yes, the one in my stash is also from Walmart - I think it was about $12. I do remember building this back in the 70's - but don't know whatever happened to it. If you go back, and look at the images on the side of the box - that shows several different colors of the suspension and undercarriage parts - I do remember that - this is how I painted mine. I also have two of the Blazer that had the construction company decals.....too many kits - not enough time......
@@urbanurchin5930 I have that Blazer in my stash as well. I haven't cracked the seal on that one yet but I have been eyeing it the last couple of days. I will eventually get to that one and I hope it goes together well. This GMC wasn't bad to put together, it was actually kind of fun.
Well, now you know what some of the pitfalls of this kit could be. Good Luck on your build! I'm going to check it out when you get it finished. Thanks for watching!
I agree! As of late the quality of their kit offerings are very hit and miss. This one was a miss that was turned into a hit with some effort. Thanks for watching!
Thank You! Hopefully, you won't have to many problems with yours. In the grand scheme of things this one wasn't as bad as I had been led to believe. What color did you finally settle on for that 66?
Thanks! I have heard others bashing on this kit but I found that it was just challenging enough to keep it interesting. Thank you for the sub! I'll pop over and check out your builds. Now, go get that kit and start building! LOL!
It's really not that bad of a kit overall. It does have a few flaws to overcome but in the end it builds out pretty nice and for $7 you can't go wrong. Good luck with your build!
Thanks for the great question. I got that at Hobby Lobby, but you can also get it at Amazon and Michael's. It runs about $7 a bottle. Thanks for watching!
Really nice, I enjoy your attitude with building, as we all experience issues with builds, you work through them and move on.

Another great build, like the paint scheme, and the tires much better
Thank You! I wasn't impressed with the tires that came with it. Now I don't feel so bad about trashing that Dakota kit.
It come out really nice. I have two of these; but honestly, I bought them for parts. The Dakota tires fit very well.🤓👍

Nice gold and black color combo 👌

Very nice thank you 🐎Mr. ED Says just have fun modeling

GMC turned out great!!!!!
Thank You!
@@scaleautoguysworkbench 👍🙂
This turned out really sharp. I think it would be cool if Moebius released this.
Thank You! It would be cool to see this come out by another manufacturer. Maybe it will be straighter and with different options. Thanks for watching!
You HAD. THE. SAMES. I. HAD. WITH. MY. KIT BUT WITH. THAT. I. WENT. THE. OLDER BLAZER. THAT. CAME. EARLY 70S. RED BLACK. DECALS. IT. CAME. OUT. GOOD.
You did a great job on that , looks great 👍

Looks good to me. New subscriber here. A lot of times I'm able to fix a warped part using my dehydrator.

Thank You! It took a little work but it did finally come together.
That looks fabulous I love it
Thank You!
I like the color combo! I’ll be building one soon. So many ways and colors to choose from. I think I will do Ochre and white.

I just came home from Walmart and ALMOST bought this exact kit... Looks like I'll be grabbing it next trip. Yours looks great.

I went with a black and white fade black on the front white in the back looks pritty cool I haven't shared any pics of it yet but I will soon

Good show buddy I was wanting to get that kit now I will after seeing you build it,, ohh yeah I gave you a subb,, later Glen

I found this kit reduced to $7 at my local Hobby Lobby. I normally wouldn't have bought this kit, but for $7, I brought it home.

I mangled together some dually wheels with the stock tires and I'm painting mine fluorescent pink
A dually Jimmy? Seems like it would be pretty cool looking, especially in pink!
That looks great just subbed your channel
Thank You for the kind words and the Sub!
That looks really good! Where do you get the Mod Podge in the applicator bottle you were using for the windows?

@@scaleautoguysworkbench thanks. I have it in the big bottle but that looks thinner and easier to work with!
