I was 100% no way i want Southgate as United manager. But just thinking about it one night i thought to myself, Southgate isn't going to take the club backwards. I don't think he will fall out with players. I think he has rules similar to Ten Hag in that he's quite strict, but seems to be a better man manager. I think Ten Hag is the better coach, but in terms of Southgate managing United when i really think about it, i think worst case scenario is we are top6 with him. Knows the league, knows the players. I wouldn't pick him but im not as against it as i once was. He also knows the staff United are recruiting. United are so easy to play against, i think he makes us harder to beat as well. Who knows.
