In TVD universe, if you don't see the dead body, you can't be sure that someone died. But if he is not dead, we probably won't see him for a while. The other characters will move on with their lifes and when Sebastian seems to be forgotten there will be a clue or something to lead to his return.

That was probably the only good thing about this episode. Sebastian had a very noble attitude! I hope he comes back. And I hope Kai comes back too, because his death was ridiculous. How was a heretic as powerful as he was so easily chained? There’s no need for the merge, what does Alaric do? Kill Kai. Alaric is either senile at 40, or wants hope to be his only daughter. Let’s ignore the fact that the merge was only needed so the Gemini coven wouldn’t die because they were connected to the leader. Where are the rest of the Gemini? Dead, they were killed when Kai, the leader of the coven killed himself to become a heretic. Josie and Lizzie have no reason to merge at all. I’m pretty sure the only reason this story line was brought up was because Candice(Caroline) didn’t want to play her role after 10 years, and they needed to explain her absence.
Sebastian deserves so much better and Lizzie is the one person who sees the good in him. He might have made mistakes but we have to remember that his whole life all he felt was trauma. The death of Cassandra might still be an open wound for him. I hope he comes back after healing and swoops Lizzie (my baby) off her feet. He treated her in a way no other man did and made her feel desirable and special. Like they had the whole "Sebastian the Merciless" chapter, but we have yet to see what that actually means. We know he loved someone names Cassandra, but we have yet to see her. Like they have given so many small things about Sebastian's past, but we actually havent gotten to see it yet, so to kill him off would be suicide for Legacies. Not to mention Sebastian is the only of the guys on Legacies who are charming, in that Damon/Klaus way. The other guys are just cute.

This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Couple in Legacies. Sebastian and Lizzie definitely deserved each other. Lizzie always wanted to be Loved and Sebastian’s Love was Pure and he will always Love her.

Back when Bonnie and Damon were stuck on "the other side", there was also a back door to save them from damnation - Kai Parker's prison world! Their relationship is just getting started and Alaric has also recognized through Sebastian's selfless victim that he is one of the "good vampires" and possibly tries to find a way out for Sebastian with the help of Lizzie.

I’m sure he’s not dead atleast yet and off topic but I’m emotional about kai I understand all the horrible things he did was so cruel but let’s be honest damon stefan did those things as well like killing people and kai always had a sad story .... he was neglected as a child and that’s how he got crazy and ended killing his family and he wanted revenge and he sorta changed when he merged with like but Bonnie left him :/ and then I remember when kai went to jo cuz they were vomiting there was a deleted sad scene about kai :( and he comes back after being in prison worlds his whole life and never being loved by anyone :((( and he tries to get revenge again which was not the key but he’s kai .. and then he just gets killed off smh

It's an open end to Sebastian's fate - does he listen to Lizzie's advice and return to the real world through the other portal, or does he stay in place? His noble and selfless act towards the others casts a whole new light on the centuries-old vampire. And this is supposed to be the case with Sebastian - his end through selfless behavior as an anchor for the prison world that is collapsing? It's just pointless. The Legacies authors bring a centuries-old vampire, who was transformed at the age of 17 and dried up over 400 years, to the show and take this character out again after 13 episodes. Definitely not - they didn't do that at Vampire Diaries and The Orgionals, so they won't start at Legeacies now. Every character that was introduced has a specific place on the show and Sebastian has taken the hearts of fans by storm. Just like Enzo in VD, which was part of the cast from season 6. They probably do the same with Sebastian, he has now got a supporting role that becomes part of legacies. Many fans watch legacies because of Sebastian and Elizabeth - they are the perfect couple! Do you really think Sebastian dies of serial death and Lizzie is left heartbroken? That won't be the case - SIZZIE FOR EVER!

I am happy that they gave her a love story. It reminds me of Bonnie and Enzo, giving a character a much needed love story and then heartbreak.
