- Galactus is back in Spotlight Caches this week, but is he worth picking up in the modern meta of Arishem and Darkhawk, or is he totally dead?

Power Estimate: While this deck has been great in the past, and technically remains the best Galactus deck, it really struggles in the current meta, and it would make for a very difficult climb.

It really was a brilliant play by Fuzzle, because of the Ultron Destroyer line Knull seemed like a really likely scenario. Then Big House was there preventing Knull from being anywhere else. They had the echo and priority so great on Fuzzle for seeing the line.
In the five seconds I had to think about if he loses to any card there, I did randomly think of Echo....

Galactus is horrible against this meta- Junk, Arshem, Zoo are all going to have spread power, but I think he'll always have a time and come back even if it's just waiting for the right meta

Yeah it's a shame cause he's my favourite card of all. My galactus destroy deck got crazy splits cause all I played was that deck. Now I haven't touched that deck in months.

I wasted a key on Hydra Bob yesterday, so I grinded a bit for another key and got Galactus with it, which I was really excited for.
Even though I've only had a couple wins with him, they were really satisfying wins and I've wanted to play him for a long time now.
Regis how are you going to showcase hydra bob if you have to snap to use him?

This deck won me an Infinity Avatar last season. At the time nobody could really predict it and didn't really know how to counter it. It had a glorious run. Nearly a month, lol!

at 13:28, if the order is Destroyer reveal first in right lane, and then Knull in any lane, will Knull get destroyed by Destroyer? (since Knull haven't revealed yet)

Play galactus in arishem, I haven’t purposely tried it but when I get galactus from arishem it has worked a solid 80%
i've been playing a stupid, but really fun HERALD OF GALACTUS deck, which is pretty much just galactus in a silver surfer hand buff deck. it's dumb but really fun and when you don't have the right situation to win with galactus on turn 6 (because of nakia, forge, okoye, ect galactus actually gets pretty strong) you just do the normal surfer turn 6 to win!

I am doing decent with a Galactus Arishem build. Early Goblins aren't bad even if you don't get Galactus.
In the Sinister London match, I think Galactus was the call (even if it had rolled right), as Ultron's downside was way worse than a five cost Galactus.

Awe man, it’s that deck I really liked playing for a hot minute until people started seeing it coming; called it the Regis funlacticus , not so much fun anymore :/ - was hoping to find a fun new surprise to climb for the new season.

Arishem was the final nail in his bed. You can splash him in said Arishem decks but he can't resolve with all these decks that start with +1 energy
Honestly arishem is OP. I'm 4k collection level and my highest rank was 88 or something even tho i don't play the best decks. I got infinite first day with arishem. I don't think people are gonna stop playing arishem anytime soon

I think Galactus is going to see an increase in usage this week with Gwenpool coming out. Whether or not that translates to a better winning percentage remains to be seen, but I still don't think it'll be that good with Arishem decks everywhere.
I assume Galactus is in this cache in case some maniac creates something truly threatening with him and Gwenpool in the first week of the season.

I am a Galactus main literally my favorite card I only play Galactus on later and it's growing to be incredibly difficult to reach infinite to play a deck that revolves around Galactus is had felt like a dead dreams for the last few seasons I think he needs a small power adjustment back to 6/7 it will help his power without making it insane he felt very fair at a 6/7

I actually got wrecked by a dude who put a generated destroyer on Krakoa on turn 5 (arishem) and then proceeded to top deck a 21 power random generated galactus… not even mad when I lost that one, and just by two or three power as well
Arishem is undoubtedly a fun deck to play. But Arishem meta is just so oppressive that it pushes so many other decks completely out of the format.

Last season I took galactus to 99 and 6 cubes…. Had to play an Angela deck to get infinite after I just kept losing in the 97-99 range…. 😢

Honestly...they killed the card. It was so easily-countered when it was a 6/2. You had Aero (original), Polaris, Goblins, Doc Ock, Titania, Spiderman, Juggernaut, etc... They could have at least made it a 6/6, "If this is the highest-power card in this lane, destroy the other lanes," or something like that.
while they’re balancing the game, they should nerf blob, darkhawk, etc. yknow, all those ultra-extreme cards that are polarizing the meta right now. in that case, we might actually see a drop in arishem usage, which would help galactus. also maybe they could buff galactus to ignore cards with 0 or less power?
and by “nerf” i more do mean limit, like not necessarily affecting normal decks with these cards but also preventing them from being win buttons/collection checks when used in arishem decks
Unpopular opinion but I think Galactus should go back to his og text. With power creep even his og text won’t be broken
