Oh dang, didn't see this video coming. It's worth mentioning that the first two main parts in the chart are actually a lot easier than the last. The jump in difficulty between the first and second main part isn't very wide, but the difficulty gap between the second and the last main part is a lot bigger. Double stairs on their own aren't terribly difficult, but the key is that there's so many brackets at the end, and even with NoMod at 200 BPM it's not easy to sustain extremely brackety patterns like that for extended periods of time. The last kiai drains stamina very quickly to the point where it's easy to become overwhelmed if you are too fatigued and your fingers lock up. I can't fathom shoving DT on there. Even to this day, sustaining brackety dense chordstream at 300 BPM for more than a few seconds is still mostly unheard of.
I'm a month late but yea amazing mania commentary, certainly one I wasn't expecting. I really enjoyed it and I hope you cover more infamous maps in the mania scene in the future (but no I'm not talking about Dans or fool moon type stuff) Keep up the great work ^^
Why not dans? I don't like people thinking of them as something that defines skill but i do think that a video about how the community slowly got to the insane score that are here now (delta dan 3 miss, gamma near SS, epsilon 97, epsilon 1.05x S rank, delta 1.15 overclear) would be intetrsting. Starting the video with what dans are, how did players to on them at the beggining and some of the more important score on them. I think that it would be a fun video to watch.
@@Nothingending Dans are just way too popular and played too often for the wrong reasons now, imo it's better to give the attention to other scores. Most of the time even though a certain score is top tier and insane it doesn't get as much attention as Dan scores. But I'm just one person talking here, if Dans are what the community now wants to see then I can't say anything about it
@@leonn1805 I do think that dans are overrated to but: 1. They are still a challenge, 2. Thry video will get a lot of views from mania player because they love dans so much. Also yes there are other impressive scores but i think that it's better to make a whole video about dan achivements and history than about a single score/map. A player analysis would be interesting too (because Etienne doesn't do them anymore) but i don't think that it would be on the same level as were Etienne's player analysis's so it's better to make those videos about maps and scores, not about players.

But it's things like these will make newer players interested to try playing Dans and usually it doesn't end well, this is just adding to the fuel this problem the community is facing and that is dans. The amount of players nowadays turning on osu just to play dan songs and maps are much more than you and I can imagine. So while it's a good vid idea please think of the consequences and affects that will come in doing so
I love this mania video and i hope to see more. Don't get me wrong i still love watching videos about standard but i don't understand some of the things there because i don't play that mode. I am a mania player who spend quite a lot of hours playing the game and just being in the community. It's interesting to see the modes pretty much no one cares about having videos about them. If you won't have video ideas (which i doubt because there is a lot of things happening in the osu community all the time) you could make a bit more mania videos (and some taiko and ctb stuff too because i find them interesting and impressive). I'm sure your viewers will enjoy your videos just as i do, great work!
HP 9 and above is painful. Makes a clear so much more rewarding. Even A ranking this is impressive. (Just gimme a year and maybe I can pass it lol. I'm currently Dan 2 with a mid A on 3rd.)
Sorry to break it to you but it will most likely take more than a year. You are at pretty much begginer level and getting to this Godly tier takes many years. 7k is really hard and even in the 4k community there aren't many players who got to the top quickly (that doesn't mean there aren't any, jkzu for example even after 2 years of playing was a high tier player, considered as one of the best).
