  • Join pediatric speech-language pathologist Laura Mize, M.S., CCC-SLP from teachmetotalk.com for part 8 in this 14 part podcast series, learn all the language milestones from under 12 months to 48 months. We'll break down all milestones for both receptive and expressive language into 6 month age ranges. In each show (as well as on the handout), we'll define each skill, discuss its importance for language development, and then talk about the best strategies for targeting the skill in therapy sessions and at home. This information will serve as a fantastic reminder for typical language acquisition, as well as a great resource for parent education.
In this course, we're discussing the receptive language milestones acquired by 36 months
For speech-language pathologists, other therapists and professionals who work in early intervention and pediatrics, and parents of toddlers and preschoolers with speech-language delays.

Hi, I'm looking for the handout for this podcast as well as the expressive language milestone at 36 months on your website but can't seem to find them...

Hi Laura, I've just found your channel while looking for some way to help my 2 and half year old progress with his speech.
He only really says mam and dad although he used to say tractor, digger and a few other words but flat out refuses to say them now for some reason 🤷‍♂️
I'm sure you have done some video's that can help but you have so many I don't know where to start, 🙈 can you point me in the right direction please 🤞
    Thanks in advance
    Conor

Hi Conor, search in TH-cam Laura mize 11 prelinguistic skills. That's the best starting point as it helps identify if there are any gaps that could help him learn.

Unfortunately she gives little useful information. Hour and 30 minutes for effectively 15 minutes of info. It’s sad that these people here to manly sell their stuff. She spends hours in her speech tips videos but shows two minutes clip. We need actionable information then these mindless talk

Hi Ennettie - Each podcast is available for CE credit for therapists so we have to make it long enough to get credit approved. An hour is an industry standard for that. Thanks for your comment and I hope you'll keep watching!
