Most of the time DP is preferred, but there's nothing wrong with using HDMI. DP is cheaper to license for manufacturers while HDMI patents cost a significant amount of money. :)

Just ordered it for $305, I never would've thought I could get a monitor like this at this price!
It's 200 rn😂, damn man a 4k 160hz at this price point even a fhd monitor isn't like that
4K needs to be minimum 32 inch
For me that's too big, since I don't have the desk space for that. Haha!
But everybody has their own preferences, I guess. :)
