    Fantastic product. I am curious why they omitted the door storage since they made a residential frig/freezer combo. Very lovely to look at too.

    That warranty is second to none! Having that kinda coverage is worth the price! 15 yrs, your buying at least 2 box store fridges!

      I probably missed the 15 year warranty - I'm not an insider. What does it cover that would make me excited about buying a true residential fridge/freezer?

      I gotta double check exactly. 15 years is parts only. And I want to say 6 of those years covers labor too

  • @jasonstein5179
    @jasonstein5179 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just to help you - maybe take the approach - True (and Perlick) have dominated commercial markets in the United States. Then - how does their quality transform the residential market? In the video you talk about 2 compressors and stainless steel interiors that help keep the unit cold. But the competition from middle end to high end also does that - see Lg and other fridge makers. Why should I literally pay thousands and thousands of $ for a color fridge (think why you like Hestan in the luxury market). I don't see it in this video - beyond color what is so great about True.

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need to double check what brands do full stainless interior. As that is not correct

    • @jasonstein5179
      @jasonstein5179 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@embersliving Do you really need full stainless?? - thermador, Miele and SKS can change temperature in 1 degree increments using stainless steel and metal and glass?

  • @jasonstein5179

    I love your videos - very entertaining and informative. Long time viewer.
    I think in this instance there is something missing something in your video when you describe True..
    I'm having a hard time understanding True Residential as a value for what you pay for. They almost seem like Kalamazoo Grills which you seem to say is not a value.
    Kalamazoo is almost twice the price in most cases (lets say a DCS 9 grill) - but you refuse to (almost) recognize them because they are so expensive relative to a luxury grill.
    Isn't it the same thing with True playing out here? All high quality refrigerators use stainless steel interiors - like Miele, Subzero, Thermador - almost less than half the cost (but also not currently available if you need them in the next year).
    Maybe True has (different) colors - but I think the huge difference in costs is True basically saying, like Kalamazoo - we made them bigger - and with lots and lots of stainless steel. Performance is not really that much better than the competition (lets use longevity - Subzero supposedly last 20 years).
    What is not in your video - Is there any proof that a True will last longer than a Subzero or a Thermador which you almost say True lasts longer? It appears they just use more stainless steel all around the unit.
    I think there is a value proposition for True - but True needs to help you - or this is just True - dressed as a Kalamazoo brand.
    Hope that helps.
    It just does not seem consistent in your message.

      See Brian’s comments below. You can’t beat the warranty or service that comes with it. It’s completely apples and Oranges compared to grills. For example, let’s say your grill goes out… you can get by a few days until a Burner is replaced, etc. so as a non essential item that isn’t MANDATORY that it functions everyday. I do think grills max out at a price that simply isn’t worth it. Also you compare Kalamazoo which isn’t 20-30% more like true is. It is in fact triple the price in some cases. So again not apples to apples. What happens if your condenser in your fridge stops working? You need it fixed immediately or you have a problem. That’s where the added value of warranties is so important with refrigeration. True runs it’s own service network. And although we personally do service, true puts the responsibility on themselves to fix it. BBQ’s push off this responsibility to the dealer who sold it. So your warranty is only as good as who you buy it for. Also you mentioned sub zero. They are cheaper, but did you know only one of their models has full stainless steel interior? Anyways what I’m getting at, is every item in the home is not created equal, some are weighted heavier on the need for the best quality, and i feel like refrigeration falls into that category. For example, if I could only afford a true OR a Kalamazoo, I would put in a true, and buy a more reasonably priced grill. Still a luxury one, but more in the 5-10k range. Thanks so much for watching and all your support. Hope that makes sense

      If trues residential service network is so great - why are you servicing true residential and not True?????? Again, it sounds like you don't know what you are talking about. Are you saying you can service a true residential refrigerator better than True???? And just as quick? Do you understand how this comes off badly?

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m saying my staff is more then qualified to service a true fridge if needed. However that being said. They have yet to service one so far.

    Suggestion - Please come up with a new True residential video - maybe interview a true rep? I'm actually starting a remodel in California - I actually want you to sell me a True - read the comments below in response to your comments.

    You might want to edit this video - there is no 24" column fridge or freezer offered by True.

  • @jasonstein5179
    @jasonstein5179 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    also - no to beat a dead horse - but you talk about how True does not have an ice maker in the column freezers (which is great) and you should consider a True under counter ice maker. But then you move to your right - and there is a green True refrigerator with an ice maker in the freezer area. What is up with that? I honestly love your 99 % of all your videos - but its very difficult to follow your logic. Why do column freezers not have ice makers - but a combo fridge freezer does have an ice maker?

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cause it’s a combo fridge with a freezer. They are making a all in one

    • @jasonstein5179
