Hi Stephen. You gave me a flash back when you mentioned the fire station that was. How incredible i remember that from being a 6-7 year old in 1967-68. Delta 64😊
Really great video enjoyed discovery of new places plus visiting some old ones. Albert St is quite amazing. It is possibly one of the most prosperous side streets off the promenade in Blackpool. ❤ Thanks Stephen. 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed this ride about Stephen! ❤😂 Beautiful day in Blackpool and your video made it perfect. Thank you so much. Got an excellent screen shot of The Regent.
Yet another one under your belt. I stayed in Charnley road in the Franklin hotel, great owners. Wish you had gone down to the water and shown us the sea. I bet it was amazing. Stay safe 🙏
Thank you for the video and your time Stephen, I love a mooch around Blackpool surprising how it looks through someone else's eyes. Black cats are lucky if they cross your path.😊😊😊
From what I've learned watching your videos over the last few years, I would say the Regent cinema did better than all the others as its still standing as a working cinema and long may it continue!!!
thanks for these videos stephen , we've been watching since the covid times , we've been to some of your haunts today and really enjoyed it , the ardwick , chris's £1 burger place and a pint of bass at the saddle inn a great day in the sun of blackpool 😁👍👍
Lovely day there, been cloudy all day here after the gorgeous weekend hot weather. Not cold though, great ride around ,thanks Stephen, take care see you soon ,bye for now 😊😮
The building on the corner of Albert Road and Coronation street used to house Blackpool's Twisted Wheel, mid 60's to early 70's, lol showing my age now.
Hi Stephen. Such a lovely day. The blue sky looks gorgeous. Everything looks so much better when the sun is shining. I love it when it’s warmer and you can sit outside. Thanks for another interesting video. and I’ll see you again in the next one 🥰❤️👍
Having a tree outside ones home in Blackpool must be a luxury😉 loving the blue sky's we're having it cheers up the views even in the old grim back streets of Blackpool.
I love those signs with the hands! There's one or two similar ones around the town although I live abroad now and I'm starting to forget the street names at home! There's one on the corner of the prom with one street and I can't remember what it's pointing to. Not the old Central Station but not Blackpool North either. Fun wandering around my hometown at a distance with you.
I'm looking forward to backpool week on Friday I hope it's like that biue Sky sunny day in blackpool England West Midlands good for me and the Sodor Steamworks
Awesome vid stephen!! Love the fact that you took us to the places mostly unseen in vids of this nature, i have only been to BP once to see the illuminations, but traffic was so bad and congested that the sis in law said she couldnt cope and we left before seeing it :( So i really want to come back and see BP. And yes the weather was just beautiful on Sunday! :) Even my youngest remarked on the Blue sky as we usually have planes polluting the Blueness of the sky round here. Thx once again Stephen
Hi Stephen what a beautiful day in Blackpool loved the ladies with there umbrellas sheilding from the sun ,and that Stanley building looks huge I really love the old buildings and cinemas I really enjoyed the video ❤
I took some clients to the Georgian Hollies hotel a couple of years ago. Some of the clients where severely disabled and the hotel staff were absolutely marvellous. ❤
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always looking lovely weather in Blackpool a great walk around very interesting and informative have a great day xx
The building on Cookson street that's knocked down was I think called Sound City, they used to do musical instruments, amps and speaker units. Seems though that everything knocked down in Blackpool now becomes either a Hotel or a car park.
Thank you Stephen for this most interesting video. Great to see an area of the town I'm not familiar with. Weather certainly makes the area look more inviting. I really enjoy hearing of the history of the buildings. Hope to be back in the area again soon. Hello to all the regulars on your channel.
Hi Stephen, remember the register office on south King Street from 1990ish,as I used to stay at a friend's opposite, also the kingdom hall as we used to cut thro the back streets to get to hornby Rd then go over to the Stanley Rd working mens club, think some of those back streets are gated now?? & I remember the ABC on church street, I lived there 45yrs ago... Will be over in 4 or five weeks staying in fy4 at relatives.
Thank you Steve for showing me a very interesting part of Blackpool I will probably never get to see for myself, as I have no reason to go there and isn't on a bus route. There are lots of little plots of land dotted around Blackpool. Temporary car parks are a good use for them until they decide a better use. As for the Recent Cinema, apparently there are 50 stalls of antiques in there. It was on an episode of BBC'S Bargin Hunt about a month ago. I've been wanting to go since I found out about it a year ago, but I would want to buy all the dog ornaments they got. My credit card is screening noooo! One day I will treat myself. But for anyone who loves antiques, retro clothes, records etc, it is well worth a visit. Xxx
Didnt know the story of the aircraft landing etc, yes i saw the damage one of the trees were causing, its roofs lifting the flags as they do. Premier Inn Bispham lifting all the tarmac on the pavement, lots of trees along devonshire road, also lifting flags tarmac etc, were the trees are, not to mention blocked drains and weeds coming out of the drains from grass seeds, they look great in parks and forests, areas that are not built up, Thanks for the walk around 😊
I lived at the 4 story building you mentioned, the one with the scaffolding. It used to be called the Sydney Hotel and owned by my family. It was a great area back in the 80’s to grow up in. Not quite the same these days.
10:30 - it was a pre-fab with Blackpool Sound Centre in it. It would be called a 'hub' now as it's where you went to buy guitars, drums etc., and catch up with all the local music gossip. (We've been here before Steve!) 13:30 - wasn't that the old fire station? Thanks for another great vid!
Hi steven, dont usuallycomment just want to say really enjoyed your video, went to blackpool over 40yrs ago stayed at norbreck, bit different then.great narration.
My daughter and her partner got married about 30yrs ago there and we have a photograph of them on the outside with the top half of the TOWER in the background.❤
My mother got married at the registry office in Sth King Street. Sad to see it's gone. I also registered my own marriage there in 1985. And flipping heck, where's the right hand side of Cookson Street gone??
It's good the Regent for films you should try and go......least its stopped. Yesterday was awful. Least the rain has stopped...Still enjoy your vids. Keep it up. X
Evenin I got married at that registry office 27 years ago yer cannot help yerself with the lovely Cookson Street 😂😂 a beautiful day weather wise there it’s the same here in West Midlands now £10.000 for a tree did I hear right or was that for all the trees? Till the next one 😊
The shop on the corner of Albert Road was a market souvenir shop type. And the I think the strip club was called legs eleven. When I was younger, we used to stop in the hotel on the corner, which was called The ken barry. I have it recorded on camera.
Thanks, Stephen. The regent cinema building is really nice, old style cinema. The 1930s Stanley building is nice, don't see enough 30s style buildings around any more, most seem to have not survived. Really interesting video.
No they have Masonic Hall clear signs outside. The square and compasses/dividers with a G in the centre. Or interestingly a Bee Hive. Is a masonic symbol.
What happened to the ABC cinema? I remember staying in a B&B just down the street. I can’t recall the name of the street either. I think that was the last time I was there. I remember because the Beatles were performing there. No I didn’t see them.
What’s the obsession in Blackpool with knocking down buildings and turning them into car parks?! Most of these sites look like prime housing sites and the former police station site at the beginning and end of your video looks like it would make a lovely green space in the form of a pocket park, the likes of which you see all over London.
Showing my friend our great town... Beautiful blue sky...Regent Cinema, Stephen so tremendously happy seeing rare Trees... Fabulous Blackpool.
Hi Stephen. You gave me a flash back when you mentioned the fire station that was. How incredible i remember that from being a 6-7 year old in 1967-68. Delta 64😊

I once asked a guy for directions to the masonic hall and he refused to tell me because it is a secret.
No they have Masonic Hall clear signs outside. The square and compasses/dividers with a G in the centre. Or interestingly a Bee Hive. Is a masonic symbol.
No wonder they built the police station just around the corner.
