      Its no skin off Amazon back they pay the money, then just sue the DSP company for breach of contract for being in the DSP program and operating branded vehicles without insurance which is a requirement to be in the DSP program. People don't realize that none of the drivers you see Work for Amazon. All the drivers whether Freight, Vans, personal cars are all Contractors. DSP drivers like the lady in this video work for a company thats contracted by Amazon. Think of it like a Franchise. They pay money to have branded vehicles and some other perks, and their employees are W2 employees to that company but not directly for Amazon.

      The only people who caused them to be "jacked around for over a year" is them. They are the ones who didn't get the driver's and DSP's insurance information and then submit a claim to the DSP's insurance provider. Instead, they spent over a year jacking around people who had nothing to do with the damages to their property. Even going so far as submitting a claim to an insurance company who had to bluntly tell them "The party responsible for damage to your property is not insured with us. Therefore, we must deny your claim."
      What did they expect from an insurance company who didn't insure them, the driver or the driver's employer? To say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us, but out of the kindness of our hearts we have determined that you were too dumb to find out who insured the person who damaged your property so we will pay because we are nice people who help out the mentally challenged when you get yourselves into a pickle."
      These people were the ones jacking around because the process for an insurance claim is very easy and straightforward. People with basic life skills are able to obtain insurance information from an at-fault driver and/or police report and submit an insurance claim to the at-fault driver's actual insurance. This could have been as easy as:
      1. Obtain contact and insurance information for the DSP's insurer
      2. Obtain copy of police report for insurance purposes
      3. Submit an insurance claim to the DSP's insurer
      4. The at-fault driver's insurer approves the claim and pays
      5. It's over and done with
      This doesn't take a year. The only reason this took a year and required the media to get involved is because this couple lacks basic life skills. It's not hard to submit a valid insurance claim to an at-fault driver's insurance. What did they expect? That an insurance company that doesn't insure the party responsible for damage to do all the hard work for them or just handle it for them? The facts here are quite easy to grasp. It's not like the driver avoided telling the police their information when the police took a report. There was no reason that the couple, if they had basic life skills, could not have submitted a valid insurance claim to the DSP's insurer and there was no reason an insurance company that doesn't insure anyone involved that day had to say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us. Therefore, we must deny your claim."
      It was as simple as 1) obtain insurance information and/or police report, 2) submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer, 3) receive payment for damages
      This could have all been handled in days or at most about a month but the couple just had to keep jacking everyone around instead of just doing what they needed to do which is to submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer.

    Bringing this issue up to media relations made this a PR move, not a "customer first" move. And let's be honest, Amazon didn't switch over to DSPs to "empower leaders who want to launch and operate their own businesses". 🙄They did this so that they could 💯 absolve themselves of any accountability when delivery BS like this goes down.
    Tbh I was even more shocked the day I discovered that all those nice delivery people in blue Amazon branded vests that get my order to my door within hours or overnight don't even get the benefits and security of an 8 hour a day job with health insurance. Instead they have to fight to grab shorter 4 hour shifts on an app every single day, TWICE a day, early morning and late at night, just to make a living. Seriously?

      Pretty much the only reason they do that is because they lowball the drivers so it's cheaper than using USPS, FedEx or UPS even if it is of slightly lesser quality. If it was cheaper to use those couriers they would but the only way to save money on the shipping costs is by doing it themselves. It provides jobs to those who would otherwise be unemployed and it's often more reliable around the holidays since delivery couriers have a hard time keeping up with the massive amounts of stuff being ordered online around this time of year. Amazon would've already made this assessment and figured out the benefit outweighs the cost.

    2) The delivery driver, the moment he got his truck stuck in the car port, should have gotten out of the truck and taken some of the air out of the truck's tires in order to lower the height of the truck so he could back up and get out from under the car port.

    • @animejanai4657
      @animejanai4657 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      To bring it back to original, it requires removal of bent beams. Bolts partially torn out require beam replacement due to damage. When that is needed, it causes the rest of the roof to be removed to access the structural members. The beams are firmly fastend to the support pylons which are firmly fixed to concrete. The force was transmitted through the metal pylons to the concrete thus cracking the foundation mounts. Thus, it becomes a $30K structural roof demolition followed by a full rebuild replacement which includes replacement of the cracked foundation and pylons holding up the beams which in turn holds up the roof decking and roofing shingles. That is no where near a mere 3,000 dollars in this inflation region.
