84inches was used in total. Although 10inches was used for each petals, each petal will also make use of half cut that means 10 and half each.

Each crinoline petal was 10 inches,
8 petals was made to form the fascinator
So the total inches if crinoline used to make the fascinator is - 8×10 =80
ANSWER - 80inches of crinoline was used for the fascinator
