I was wondering those '0.05R' resistors, the current can't reach 40A for a 2 watt resistor (√(2/0.05) * 6 ~ 37.9A, so 40A can't be done for long I assume?
Thank you for you great review on this electronic load device. Can you please reupload the software for that device, because the link for "KP184 PC Software (Full 156MB)" is down.
Thanks for this. It's good to have most of the part numbers and their functions called out. Though I would like to have gotten a better look at the current sense resistors, and also into the tunnel.
Thanks for the awesome reviews you are doing! We are looking for a low cost battery tester for e-bike batteries (mostly 36V or 48V batteries with a nominal load of 350W and maximum load of 750W). Our previous tester has just died (we did all our previous testing at just under 400W). We are looking to test 2 things when we test a battery - firstly the capacity vs the rated capacity and secondly the internal resistance of the battery. We would like to be able to produce a nice printout, preferably with a graph of voltage or power versus time. What machine would you recommend us to get? Cheers, Paul
this vs ET5410 ? specwise its the same, the ET just got a better display and misses the sense bnc jack but its missing the i/o and serial interface, it just lets you connect a ps/2 keyboard lol but price is about the same
Great video. Thumbs up! SMD resistors are of course available with reasonable power dissipation for sensing purposes, but they aren't cheap, so I'm guessing the through hole resisters are there as a cost saving exercise...
Good segue into the ad! Only problem is you're missing the link in the description. 😉 Only reason I checked was because I'm thinking of ordering some PCBs soon, and I was curious whether they're tracking clicks via the URL or just the referring video. I'm also curious whether it's a commission thing or what, since likely be ordering panels with ENIG and gold fingers, and also a stencil.
Good to know, I'll try to remember to click the link on my next order anyway. Might have to wait a couple of weeks since I've seen the price of shipping has started to rise, and it sounds like some of the carriers are starting to have capacity issues, so I don't want a large order to go missing.
@@UpLateGeek Definetely go with DHL Express for the least amount of trouble and expect delays with shipping, as most people are reporting delays during these times.
Hi I understand the latest version of this Kunkin KP184 is recommended. The older versions have some issues. In case I do order from Banggood, will I receive this same latest version? Or better to wait ? Or how to order? Is the version number visible from the outside?
I got the new revision so I see no reason why other people wouldn't receive the same thing ordering now from BG. There is no way to tell from the outside, except for the warranty sticker which has a date code which might indicate a newer manufacturing date.
Nice description of the board, maybe you could also describe how the whole system works in a high level. You jump directly to the details of each IC/component and without understanding how the system works its a bit hard to follow along.
By looking at some datasheets I noticed M5 banana plus are only rated up to 30A. That's fine for me but if anyone needs more than 30A they should consider going to a higher size thread. I'll talk about this in a third video where I install new plugs on my unit.
Just ordered one - hopefully it's still the right choice. Otherwise I failed to do my research properly. Que sera sera.
4:23 That's not a shift register, that component marked 074C is a TL074C a JFET opamp. The components marked 072C are TL072C also JFET opamps.
How did replacing the banana jacks go?
Working on them as we speak, I think I need to do a third video 😁
Nice walkthrou 👍
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Thank you 👍

Watched both videos. good job. Thank thee :-)

I have searched to see if I can find a teardown of the ET but I couldn't find one. It would be nice to check the internal construction.

That could be one reason but I would say having greater pin spacing could also be another reason.
Nice teardown video

Thanks for letting me know, I just fixed the link. I don't earn any commissions if people order PCBs.

Hello, where can I download now this software what You has in description? Becouse now taht link not working. Thank You
Hi I need some advice I bought a kunkin kp184 I would like to connect it to the PC could you advise me which cable to use buyer that is USB thanks

Ottimo video. Chiaro e completo.
well, there is a third one coming 😁
One hint. Don’t turn remote sense on without actually using it. The Voltage reading will be slightly off.
Thank you :)
Perhaps fatter banana plugs are available. After all, regular ones aren't rated for 40A!

@@voltlog 30A on a standard banana? Good luck with that. Let us know the temperature rise.
hi subtitle no youtube
He removes only the cover and calls it teardown!
I need to get a serious shredder for real teardowns.
@@voltlog Yeah you should, if you're tired of unscrewing!
