Matches between Burroughs and Chamizo are usually close with a lot of excellent moves, fun to watch. Burroughs respects and likes Chamizo and he shows it at the end of their matches, which is also nice to see. (It would have been even better with a less slippery mat!)
Frustrated me to even watch this mat but holy shit some incredible counter wrestling and scrambles by Burroughs, actually by both wrestlers. Top stuff.
Reminds me of a summer wrestling tournament that was held outdoors at a PA college. It was sunny and 90+ degrees that day, and the dark colored mats got so hot they had to throw buckets of water on them every few minutes. Unfortunately, the mats were like skating rinks before the water evaporated.
Honest to God.... was a wrestler from long ago, THAT was the best wrestling match I EVER saw.... the talent level was so acute, so ..never seen before. It takes it a new level of achievement! {What is it about those native NJ wrestlers ?)
The difference in this match was the Italian guy had shoes that worked on a slippery mat, and Borroughs spent the whole match slipping. If I was Borroughs, coach, I would have stopped the match and demanded a different mat.
What a terrible venue to have a Wrestling match being that the mat was so slippery. Jordan Burroughs JB’s have terrible traction, while Chamizo’s Nike’s held up to the challenge. Despite all the mishaps it was a solid match and it gave the audience what they came for 🇺🇸

He purposely did not shoot even once. He said it in the interview after the match ( Jordan :" Why didn't you shoot even once?Howd you think you were gonna win? " Ben: "I was gonna submit you and choke you out". I don't think he wanted to risk injury for the Masvidal fight.
same here, I kinda have to give mad respect to Askren. He can be a huge troll, but being real he knew he was going to lose that match with Burroughs. It was all about bringing attention to wrestling and that deserves respect.
