I remember as a kid/youngster, my connection to the "Inferno saga" was the birth of the "Demogoblin" villain after Hobgoblin (Jason Macendale) asked the demon lord N'astirh for more power in exchange for his soul, only to be laughed at and for a cruel joke, he was instead fused with the Demonic essence that would become Demogoblin [Spectacular Spider-Man #147 (February 1989)]. As a part of Hobgoblin, he infected Moon Knight with a demonic virus that would slowly mutate him, was part of the 2nd Sinister Six team under Dr. Octopus and later fought the Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) and Johnny Blaze. After been defeated by Blaze's hellfire gun and Ghost Rider's mystical chain. Hobgoblin quickly realized being possessed by a demon was less than beneficial, and, thanks to the effects of the hellfire and mystical chain, managed to expel his demon half, creating the Demogoblin, a darker, mystical version of the Hobgoblin persona [Web of Spider-Man #86 (March 1992)].
I was at the height of my comic collecting years during Inferno all the way up until Extinction agenda and this brings back so many memories I couldn't collect all of The Inferno tie ins because I just couldn't afford it I was limited to 10 comics a month by my mom so I especially like this breakdown thank you
That's awesome! Glad you liked it. One of my favorite things about doing this channel has been going back to read the full crossovers that I only ever read part of before. Especially with X-Men because I was usually only reading one of the titles at the time, so I'm glad that's helpful to someone else, too.
I was in high school when Inferno was published and looking back some consistency in the art would have been nice. Sometimes Sym would look scary and sometimes he looks like a goofy Hanna Barbara cartoon.
@@CaptainAway seven soilder series dc did, by grant morrison is where his first lil series popped up. the whole seven soilders is rly good but hardly ever talked about
Unfair grade. Lemme tell you why Inferno was the bada$$ comic it is: Madelyne Pryor. The comics leading up to this event (and there were a lot) had been giving her ample reasons for vengeance. If she was a mutant, there would already have been a fight, but she has no powers. Between X-Factor and X-Men, sides were taken and lines were drawn. You might be on Cyclops' side, you might be on the new team's and Maddie's side but you couldn't like one team without hating the other. Then, seemingly without warning, Madelyne is given hellish powers... Oh sh*t! It's gonna go down. And down it goes. Old scores are settled, origins are revealed, questions answered and EVERY X PERSON is involved. It was a good time to be sure.

Inferno is one of my favorites X-MEN stories
Bruh barely touched on The Nanny. My favorite X-baddie
I loved Inferno! This is about when I first got into X-Men .. as a kid 😂.
Well a lot of it was definitely aimed at kids, so I guess you were the right audience!
Inferno is the last of my childhood comic collection I still own.
28:09 Apparently Iceman won a Championship during this battle

u broke this down well; you even brought to my attention stuff I missed. Keep doing your analysis and reviews
Most of the issues for that series came out in 1988 not 1989.
Best video ever made ps I'm a burn victim my house burned down.
What? Really?

I loved the inferno series.
Rusty Collins is the kid in Deadpool 2
This is very helpful now that I'm reading Spider-Man Dark web...which is kinda confusing. Thanks
You're welcome! Dark web would probably be pretty confusing if you haven't read Inferno.
10:52 i has this comic! Nanny and Orphan Maker!
What I got is the X-men Inferno and half of what you talk here isn't there. Heck, the xterminatotors only appears because of the New Mutants.
