I have a squeel that comes and goes. When i rev its louder not high pitch. Ive replaced everything except water pump. 370km orignal water pump. I have spun it spins ok i think will double check tommorow but did note it has a lil side to side play

And it was okay then all the sudden it popped off and I lost all power of course but when I lifted the hood there was coolant all over. My belt came right out it wasn't hooked on anything or broke or ripped or anything so you think that was no water pumped that went bad? Considering the coolant all over around the crank area
Thanks for posting. How did you bleed air from the system? Many cars have a high point in the hose that allows for an easy bleed, but less clear on the LQ9.
My truck wouldn’t start unless I put antifreeze in it but now the water pump was no good and now it won’t start due to it leaking. Why does it not start is it cause of the leaking real bad

Hi so I’m going to replace my old water pump and bought some Amsoil coolant. Should I flush the system? Do I flush it first or after install. What is the best way to flush. Trying to figure out how to flush and keep the Amsoil coolant I bought. I’m stuck if I flush after with a mechanic but then I loose the coolant I bought. Thank you

Do you need waterpump sealant on the back of the waterpump of the new one? I see you used it on the thermostat. Did you use it on the other gaskets?

Prior to its popping off there was a little bit of rumbling download in my engine compartment. I figured that was the bearings going bad in the pulley

But the electric fan it’s work with it only with the AC right
No. The electric fan work either with the ac or they will kick on between 200-230 degrees

Did you burp the coolant system? sometimes it only takes a few minutes sometimes it can take hours.
How much coolant do you need ?
2 gallons. You should have about a quart (give or take a few) left over.

Thermostat is on the water pumper. The housing is bolted to the water pump and the thermostat is inside that
