Yknow, in terms of novelty, creativity, catchiness, pure virality, humour, being a banger... this might just be the single greatest meme on the internet
It's amazing to know that the original is 20 years old now. It's also amazing that the badger series of videos have become anthems for badger conservation.
@@Waffletigercatonly one of the surviving actors had the energy to jump properly, sadly, so they just used his performance for all of them. As for the mushroom, it was portrayed by a spore of the original mushroom. The snake was portrayed by Barack Obama for some reason
I remember 20 years ago, I was like: I can't believe I watched this on a loop for like 10 minutes straight. Today I watched every second of it and would replay it again and again. 😂😂 Thank you for this highly addictive masterpiece.
Sadly all the badgers and snakes featured in the original video are long since dead. So nice of their descendants to get together to honour their fallen ancestors.
20 years ago, I was 13, in middle school, showing all my friends this meme in the computer lab on albinoblacksheep. Now I'm in my 30s and I've lost control of my life.
Remember the variation that went something like goal it’s a goal ooooh it’s a goal! scored by England England England on albino black sheep? That one pops into my mind all the time. Wondering if that’s on here too.
A warm childhood memory of mine was waiting for 20+ minutes for the dialup to conjure up new things like a crystal ball, be it nerdy-info sites, webcomics, or trippy loops like this one, It was always a magical experience, Thanks Weebl! :)
TH-cam didn’t exist in the early 2000s. You’re thinking of Newgrounds. TH-cam came out in 2005 and got big in 2006. Also, there was originally a time limit of 10 minutes. It was expanded to 10 hours in like 2008 or 2009.
Put watching off for hours so this wouldn't get stuck in my head before bed, now I'm watching instead of sleeping and... oh no... Happy anniversary, Weebl!
Up to this video I was convinced I was only able to be watching these sorts of animations on loop as a kid, but I felt myself falling back into it and thinking "man if this was a loop I would've let it run for ages probably" - Good to know some things don't change, cheers for all bops, Weebl!
Now it just needs an hour long version with a slight audio delay that gets more pronounced as it goes, to replicate the effect of watching the original flash cartoon over and over.
Huh... That (Vanilla) in the title feels like an omen of some sort. There's going to be a not vanilla one too? Anyway, congrats on 20 Years. Looking forward to another twenty of weird and catchy songs.
I really am proud to be one of the internet oldies that stumbled upon this way back when internet entertainment was simple. can't believe it's already been 20 years.
20 years. I was just a 20 year old young man watching that video endlessly for whatever reason. I wasn't even stoned. Just easily amused. Now I am almost 41 and Badgers is still somehow extremely amusing.
In the original flash, if you let it run for long enough, it would gradually become more desynced between the audio and graphics. Thanks Weebl for the good times over these two decades!
When I was in band, when a game against Wisconsin came up, I think we spent about as much time singing this as we did actually practicing their fight song.
Wholesome high graphics version. The 20 year anniversary video was really awesome and I love all the new versions of this internet classic song that he’s made.
I needed this after the day I had. Thank you! It is crazy how this is 20 yrs old already. I remember the first time I saw it. That and End of Ze World.
Mushroom! MUSHROOM! (decomposes into dust due to realising own age)
It’d just grow bigger realizing. Mushrooms don’t ever die.
God I know the feel. Saw this and was like “oh man! It’s been redone” and then I looked for what year I watched the original💀
If anything, millennials’ impending decomposition due to our extreme old age will just make the mushroom bigger

Give those people who did the mocap for the badgers a raise. And the mocap for the mushroom deserves an Oscar.
Mocap? You mean to tell me these aren't real badgers, mushrooms, or snakes!?

Amazing that it's been 20 years... a bit sad that this version won't slowly go out of sync after watching it for 15 minutes though.

Will someone do Glenn Gerry Glen Darth?
Even after 20 years it never gets old gotta say though that "save the badgers version" from a few years back you did was a "flash" of genius.
