Hey Nerbit. Wanted to let you know that in Power Armor, Heavy/Slow melee weapons swing faster in third person cause you swap to 1-handed over the normal First-Person 2-Handed
I thought of doing this run for Vegas myself except you could use any item related to a quest, whether it was used to complete a quest or given as a reward. For example, the pulse gun would be allowed since it can be used for Veronica’s quest
Hold up. The visit to concord, doesn't preston tell you "TAKE THAT LASER MUSKET AND HELP US, PLEASE!" from the balcony, meaning he bequeaths unto you his fallen ally's gun?
The robes of atoms devoted don't just give you extra rad resistance, they actually increase your rad resistance the higher your rads, which allows you to become fully irradiated without dying, making your HP full with max rads
You forgot that Codsworth rewards you with some food when you tell him you're hungry, the first time you meet him. It aint much, but its a bit of healing. :P Also, a few quests reward you with power armor pieces, such as the Cambridge Polymer Labs one.
Quest rewards from Skyrim (if you've not done it before) going to be pretty challenging to get some armour unless Jarl Baalgruf is feeling charitable & gives something that isn't peasant clothes & the 1st weapons you'll most likely get will be the axe of Whiterun or keeping the longbow from Ralof or the Imperial soldier that 90% never leave Helgen with lol. Be interesting to see what & where you go to complete this. I'd say items found on quest/bounty related kills (bandit leaders, dragons & giants) technically are rewards over the minor gold you get from completing them 😉
Great to see you come back after all this time! Can't wait to see a challenge run of Fallout 4 or New Vegas as an irish... well... uh... soldier (beating the game with only molotovs and c4)
Can you beat Skyrim as a Super Mutant? Play as an Orc, only have Orc followers, Melee only. No magic, blacksmithing, or alchemy. You MUST try to kill anyone non-essential.
There is actually quite a flaw with your logic, which is that by the rules of the challenge, Ada isn’t a gift as she is not given to you like Charon, Rex, and Cait are, so therefore, Nerbit can’t use Ada as a follower. Also, her name is Ada.
@@erdood3235 Think before you comment. The problem isn’t simply that Ada gives you the items; it is that you have to use Ada as a companion to get items from her since, for the purposes of the birthday challenges, companions are considered gifts. If we used your logic, Nerbit could have simply used Dogmeat’s fetch option in Fallout 3 to get basically any item.

11:00 I'm pretty sure you could still build the radio if you could somehow get through the door. Scrapping items using the settlement's Workshop Mode sends the junk straight to the Workshop and not your inventory. I will admit that I could be mistaken, but I think there's enough scrappable material in the Drive-In to build at least one generator and one radio.
Glad you're feeling better, and happy belated birthday! I will never get tired of the MGR references lol. Also here's some random challenge ideas: Can you beat skyrim as a mudcrab? Can you beat fallout (any of them) with only a fatman? Can you beat skyrim as Ep2 Yoda? (small, daggers only, insane jumping) Can you beat fallout as an incel? (low strength/charisma, only a katana, no armor, antagonizing everyone you see)
Happy late birthday! If I recall, the materials needed to make a recruitment beacon and a single generator are automatically placed in the workshops of settlements you’re asked to set them in. The Bobby pins are a much worse issue, though. Oh, and atom’s robes are even better for the sea than you’d think - they give increasingly more radiation resist the higher your rads, up to outright immunity with 901 rads. And the best part? Once you’re immune, the game will let you heal despite the radiation, meaning you can have full health and radiation immunity. Combine that with the inquisitor/crusader of atom, and you’re unstoppable.
I'm pretty sure Rex gives you Strong after trinity tower, which you could have used to your advantage by telling him to search the toolbox with the locket and asking to trade (Trade nothing in return for it to count as a gift)
I wonder how well this run would play in Skyrim? You get a bow given to you in the tutorial, all major factions give you their armor as part of their questlines, with weapons being given by the Companions and Civil War factions, and Lydia is given to you as a Follower. Though the Dragonstone may be a run-failer.

you know, I was gonna ask at some point if we'd ever get an atoms judgement only run, but this video proved that that wouldn't be much of a challenge and more of a cakewalk
idk, i always felt that things needed for the main story would be ok for you to pick up yourself. Essentially meaning I feel you more or less didnt fail the challenge for anything other than getting the locket. Everything else I feel is fair game, as you cant progress otherwise.
You could've started with the Railroad quests first because unlike Danse, Deacon actually DOES give you a weapon during the Tradecraft quest. Not to mention they can help you decode the chip without hostility and then you can still end up turning on them. The Call to Arms quest however fails the challenge instantly because you actually can't be given the Righteous Authority until you pick up the Deep Range Transmitter first, which is technically looting. Other than that, great video.
I was hoping you'd end up doing the Cabot house questline siding with Lorenzo at the end for unlimited gifted mysterious serums that give +5 strength more damage resistance and radiation drain. I was thinking you might've done it right before going to the glowing sea for the first time.

A video of Fallout 4 with only gifts. This sure is a gift in its own right.
Happy birthday man!
Hold up. The visit to concord, doesn't preston tell you "TAKE THAT LASER MUSKET AND HELP US, PLEASE!" from the balcony, meaning he bequeaths unto you his fallen ally's gun?
I think I remember Curie being able to give you stempacks or some better version of them, so maybe she would have been a good companion for this
The robes of atoms devoted don't just give you extra rad resistance, they actually increase your rad resistance the higher your rads, which allows you to become fully irradiated without dying, making your HP full with max rads
Danse actually doesn't give you 'Righteous authority' without you picking up the deep range transmitter, so technically the rul already failed there
You forgot that Codsworth rewards you with some food when you tell him you're hungry, the first time you meet him. It aint much, but its a bit of healing. :P
Also, a few quests reward you with power armor pieces, such as the Cambridge Polymer Labs one.
I'd say items found on quest/bounty related kills (bandit leaders, dragons & giants) technically are rewards over the minor gold you get from completing them 😉
if you think about it, the laser musket that Preston tells you to pick up outside the museum COULD be considered a gift.
Great to see you come back after all this time! Can't wait to see a challenge run of Fallout 4 or New Vegas as an irish... well... uh... soldier (beating the game with only molotovs and c4)
He could also use the Service Rifle, Assault Carbine, and Marksman Carbine/ All American in New Vegas, since they're all... "Little Armalite"(s)
@@old-worldghost3451 All American doesn't fit quite right, given it's name, although I supose that doesn't matter for a joke run like that
Cant wait for "Can you Beat Skyrim/Oblivion with only gifts and rewards"
You know, I totally forgot that the Brotherhood gift you TWO sets of Power Armour. That's pretty nice of Maxon, if you ask me.
Can you beat Skyrim as a Super Mutant?
Play as an Orc, only have Orc followers, Melee only.
No magic, blacksmithing, or alchemy.
You MUST try to kill anyone non-essential.
Eda gives you random junk once in a while, so she can give the scanner and circuit board
There is actually quite a flaw with your logic, which is that by the rules of the challenge, Ada isn’t a gift as she is not given to you like Charon, Rex, and Cait are, so therefore, Nerbit can’t use Ada as a follower. Also, her name is Ada.
@@isaacangelos other NPCs that give gifts aren't gifts either
@@erdood3235 Think before you comment. The problem isn’t simply that Ada gives you the items; it is that you have to use Ada as a companion to get items from her since, for the purposes of the birthday challenges, companions are considered gifts. If we used your logic, Nerbit could have simply used Dogmeat’s fetch option in Fallout 3 to get basically any item.
@@isaacangelos why are u so rode?
@@erdood3235 Because you responded to me for no reason a couple days ago, and you believe that Nerbit should have used your "solution" when your "solution" is against the rules of the challenge.
I was disheartened when the Halloween special was skipped this year, but clearly your health comes first. Maybe we can get back to it, neh?
Cant you ask codsworth for water and he GIVES it to you? Or is that not a gift?
Also you technically own codsworth because you bought him prewar so technically he should be allowed
person: "fedora nerbit holding a nuclear sledgehammer isn't real, he can't hurt you."
nerbit (tipping fedora): "m'lady." (smacks them with hammer)
(i have no clue why that thought ran through my head, but don't worry, he can't hurt you.)
Yay, an unexpected surprise, but a pleasant one for sure ❤
Hope you are well man 😊
Yeah definitely feeling better now :)
@@Nerbit13098 Awesome. Glad to hear it!
@@Nerbit13098Also belated happy birthday. I forgot you are also an October baby 😊
Isn't the laser musket technically given to you as preston tells you to take it
It is given to you as your service weapon, as youve become a Minutemen. Its YOUR service weapon, but IT IS USED FOR YOUR ROLE as minutemen
Technically, if you use dogmeat‘s skill, he is giving you an item.
First
go eat glass
damn you
Glad you're feeling better, and happy belated birthday!
I will never get tired of the MGR references lol. Also here's some random challenge ideas:
Can you beat skyrim as a mudcrab?
Can you beat fallout (any of them) with only a fatman?
Can you beat skyrim as Ep2 Yoda? (small, daggers only, insane jumping)
Can you beat fallout as an incel?
As soon as he went to the nakano residence, i already knew what time it was
18:00 All I could imagine was the goofy scream when I saw this
The Bethesda doesn't usually put much thought into Balance but when it comes to quest rewards they seem to put in extra little thought to it.
Nerbit i really enjoy putting on your videos when playing fallout or skyrim, encourages me to stick to stuff that helps my build or playthrough
Man this was so fun to watch. Glad to see you back in action. To be honest, when you went to Fah Hahbah, I thought you were gonna do Cassie Dalton’s quest to get Bloodletter. Atom’s Judgment came as quite a surprise to me.
I'm so happy to see Atom's Judgment in the run XD I desperately wish there was more to do with the CoA in the Commonwealth
Happy late birthday! You are one of the few creators that have me put everything aside the second I see a new video. Your style of commentary is just incredibly fun to listen to. Keep it up mate, and thank you for your time and effort put into this!
If armor and damage was a problem, you could have gone for the protector of Arcadia perk and atoms bulwark for completing far harbor.
Mysterious serum would have helped since you can get for free after every use.
Quest items could easily be seen as gifts from the dead(Kellogg), the locket is in a birthday present raider style, ect.
It's all how you look at it.
I'm not gonna lie, I misheard "Why don't you stick around and find out?" as "Why don't you fuck around and find out?".
Biggest takeaway: I'm glad I use the Laser Garand mod and gave Preston one by default.
FYI, for future runs, There is a key to the shed for starlight drive in a box on top of the screen
Happy birthday! Can't wait to see you in Skyrim next year
The missile missing the damage is because of vats, when you use vats explosions can straight up miss. This works in the unofficial patch at least on Xbox so this means it's not a bug it is a feature
Isn't kait technically given to you at the combat zone, and can't you technically have her loot bodies and things, therefore giving you what they pick up
Missed a golden opportunity to beat skyrim as marge simpson 😂
YEEEAAH!! Was so happy to see Atom’s judgment, for sure one of my favorite melee weapons, and often overlooked imo
you know, I was gonna ask at some point if we'd ever get an atoms judgement only run, but this video proved that that wouldn't be much of a challenge and more of a cakewalk
I just finished binging all of your Challenge videos for the first time. Loving your content!
idk, i always felt that things needed for the main story would be ok for you to pick up yourself. Essentially meaning I feel you more or less didnt fail the challenge for anything other than getting the locket. Everything else I feel is fair game, as you cant progress otherwise.
"Fairly frequently" take all the time you need, we'll be waiting. And it'll always be worth the wait.
The truest gift here is another Nerbit video. Thanks for the fun run, and I'm glad you are feeling better.
Omg happy birthday Nerbit!!!
Happy late birthday Nerbit! Glad to hear that you’re feeling better
Putting those years of playing Metal Gear to good use with the Rocket Gunner i see.
I’m glad you’re feeling better Nerbit and thank you for rejuvenating my love of Bethesda games.
I was hoping you'd end up doing the Cabot house questline siding with Lorenzo at the end for unlimited gifted mysterious serums that give +5 strength more damage resistance and radiation drain. I was thinking you might've done it right before going to the glowing sea for the first time.
One of the rifles you get for free from the pack would of worked great. Nisa's knife, and the western revolver
This channel has inspired me to do one thing in Fallout New Vegas, beat the game while being chased by every chaser in existance,
