Wanted to give you some positive feedback. Many of your video's recently have been good, but none of them said "hey, that's clever, simple and I could use this!". This video hit the nail on the head. Excellent stuff.
Yep, his shorter videos really shine when he has got a very handy versatile thing to show us, but I love a longer video for less "innovative" builds I guess. I just enjoy watching his process, but I like shorter videos like this to show of certain techniques. Love this channel
Takes me back. Nice to see this style again! Shows all the things we have learned over the years. Brings us back to the simple and functional beauty that kept me here from the start. Thank you.
Those would be a really good way to do a castle. Not sure if you've been to a real medieval castle, but it's really got the look and those blocks would be great for the walls and stairs up to walk around the walls. Just need a couple tower pieces and ramparts.
These look amazing. I have noticed how a green wash adds so much immersion to dungeon terrain or ruins. The little bit of green adds a lot life to dull gray walls. It's almost a magical effect.
I sense you may do an additional companion video for making castle toppers. Wall with drawbridge/arches. Or tall arched bridges/aquaducts! This is also a great base for a 40k city wall. My mind is flowing with ideas!! Thanks for this video!!!
Simple and effective, very nice! The nice thing about the stairs (besides being playable with minis) is that they'd probably be pretty slick on their side as walls to create a funneling effect in like a boss room or something.
Jeremy, been a huge fan of your work and videos last few years! I just finished crafting 2 of your longboats from your video from 8 years ago! They are gonna be used for my daughters 18th birthday d&d game this weekend! The longboats are gonna be used in the coliseum! Thanks again!
So, I just made a bunch of these and honestly, they're amazing! I finally feel like I have a technique that lets me construct multilevel dungeons with ease. One minor modification I added was that I replaced the top layer with a single sheet of foam core with a grid stone pattern. This helps with keeping the tops perfectly rectangular, so that they form a consistent floor plate for my minis to stand on.
Almost forgot this technique!!! BEAUTIFUL execution!!!!! I did a broken brick wall system where I had zig zagging bricks then stack cut them and flipped them all so no two layers were the same then corner posted all the right angles and did 1 by1 flat brick tops to cover the top. Never finished it but its in one of my many tubs in the garage. Again BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!!!
The og dungeon stackers were one of my favorite builds you've done (and one of the few I was able to do with my pretty rough foam skills) so it's so cool seeing them get a makeover!
I love the way you designed the stairs. What a great way of having longer steps to park a mini on while still having normal steps represented enough to capture the look of the stairs.
This is going to perfect for making modular sewer systems, also working on a few designs for travel terrain at half scale since i play a lot of 5parsec/leagues and this will work for both. Awesome work as always, cant wait to see what brilliance you share with us next~
I was in Canada this past week. We took a train tour outta Sault Saint Marie on your side. Agawa Canyon train tour. If you haven't done it, I highly recommend it if you are ever this far east. Your city is a LONG drive from there.
Just. Thank you. For everything you do. You make me want to get my foam cutter out more than anyone and every time I build something you inspire it turns out fantastic. Cannot wait to build these.
Just ordered my mini the other day, Boris is such a beast, Westfalia puts out really good products so this was a no-brainer collab purchase. Glad to hear more are coming.
I love the innovation of cutting the small strips and then gluing them back together for the blocks. I'm definitely going to try this, with a little more weathering before I glue them back together (a couple rolls in the box of rocks) to see if I can get a little more rounding and wear on the edges. Fantastic build!
Great stuff! Love the throwbacks and upgrades. Would love to see your take on revisting the Viking Longship video from your earliest days. Make a Galleon or something and show people how to make it would be epic!
Exactly. I can get 1/4" foam easily here in Mexico. Insulating is not a thing here, so thicker foams are hard to find. I feel my city walls/sewers/castle falling right into place.
I'd suggest you check out your local library; Winnipeg, Canada's Millennium Library has a maker's space that has two Proxxon cutters, along with laser cutters, 3D printers, recording booths, sewing machines, and more. Yours might have the same!
This is a great simple way of putting some height on your table while creating a very classic large scale "who built this!" dungeon atmosphere. An excellent back to basics video! Thanks.
This was a great video Jeremy; your insta post about it said these were an improvement on your old dungeon stackers and I heartily agree, these look great!
I love ❤️ this video Jeremy! Its so awesome that you've gotten back to making instructive and inspirational videos! I love all of your videos but this one meets my crafting ability level! I love it when you guys use electronics and stuff but I'm not that advanced! I would love to see you do something like Nat 1 video's Mirkwood! I would really like to see your BMC spin on it!
I've been on a DnD and crafting inspiration dip for a couple of months since our group had to take a long break, but this video really got me in the mood for some good ol' crafting!
Your videos fell off my feed but picked up again recently. Been loving the new style of your videos and this one might just end up being a weekend project for me!
Those look so sweet!!! I’d bet one could try using peeled foamcore for a similar approach, although I think they are just a touch thinner. Love the hew mini, too!
Finished the vid and yep, that’s great stuff. I have a set of dungeon stackers I made after seeing your original vid on them. If I make more, I’ll give this new style a try.
Wonderful build. I can easily see this as the start of making a bunch of terrain based around those walls like wooden decks or Rubble or doing a whole thematic board for it . Out of curiosity do the stairs fit together so that if you invert one and put the steps together it could make a wall?
Another one that may be good for weights would be alloy wheel stick on weights buddy .. they also have tight hold glue strip on the bottom ... its obviously very sticky as they don't fall off no matter how fast you go . Maybe worth giving a box a try
Worked in a car shop for a while. Every time we did wheel balancing we took off any old weights and put on new ones. The used weights just piled up in a bin. Recycling them in a craft project would have been a much better option.
Great idea, process, and presentation. I would maybe suggest adding 1x1 pieces especially if you are running virtual games and players need to be able to see over the terrain walls. Can do shorter walls depending on the camera angle and the taller walls for the sections that are more vertical in direction.
I made these a few months ago and I use them for a ton of stuff. They’re definitely not as good as yours though and I didn’t think to make stairs so now I’m gonna make some stairs.
I really liked this tutorial video. I would love a mini series on "nothing to something" terrain building. I have more time to play than build/paint/prep. So I do almost none :(
Nice. Buy or make a dungeon style play mat, make a bunch of these, grab some appropriate scatter terrain, and you're good to go. Plus, they are super simple to make with not much material required.
Wanted to give you some positive feedback. Many of your video's recently have been good, but none of them said "hey, that's clever, simple and I could use this!". This video hit the nail on the head. Excellent stuff.
I was just thinking the same thing. 👍
Yep, his shorter videos really shine when he has got a very handy versatile thing to show us, but I love a longer video for less "innovative" builds I guess. I just enjoy watching his process, but I like shorter videos like this to show of certain techniques. Love this channel
Talking out your ass mate
Agreed, very good stuff!
LETS GO. That new model is so sliiiiick
Truth
I love that you're going back to basics in the last few weeks. No 3D printer, no expensive gear, just foam or wood.
exactly! I love the old videos and would love to see more like the first few years.
Takes me back. Nice to see this style again! Shows all the things we have learned over the years. Brings us back to the simple and functional beauty that kept me here from the start. Thank you.
Classic style BMC build that makes me think "i need to make those" even though I am not currently running a game.
Those would be a really good way to do a castle. Not sure if you've been to a real medieval castle, but it's really got the look and those blocks would be great for the walls and stairs up to walk around the walls. Just need a couple tower pieces and ramparts.
With care, you could get the stairs to tesselate together to make blocks.
These look amazing. I have noticed how a green wash adds so much immersion to dungeon terrain or ruins.
The little bit of green adds a lot life to dull gray walls. It's almost a magical effect.
Updated spin on a classic based on years of experience, thx Jeremy! The people need this.
I love that you’ve found a personal style when it comes to colour choice, music, editing, your products. Great work!
This feels like a really fun back to basics video. Looking forward to giving this a go
This is perhaps one of the most versatile builds you've ever done! Thank you!!!!
I sense you may do an additional companion video for making castle toppers. Wall with drawbridge/arches. Or tall arched bridges/aquaducts! This is also a great base for a 40k city wall. My mind is flowing with ideas!! Thanks for this video!!!

I really like the steps with the 2 variations of step width - deffo stealing that idea next time I hobby

dude that build is PERFECT for the staircase area in the sunless citadel!!! I’ll definitely do that in the future
Something about these types of videos always have me with happy vibes!

I don't always craft but when I do, I Blackmagic craft.
The og dungeon stackers were one of my favorite builds you've done (and one of the few I was able to do with my pretty rough foam skills) so it's so cool seeing them get a makeover!
Thanks! Love your stuff, long time fan.
Much appreciated!

Excellent work as always 🥰🥰

I've got a bunch of sewers coming up. Thanks for sparking my imagination!
Genius! I’ve had some big sheets of 1cm foam and no idea what to do with them, but this is perfect! Sweet mini too 😊

I just love these "basic" videos. It's the stuff that really works at the table by adding that wow-factor.
I love the innovation of cutting the small strips and then gluing them back together for the blocks. I'm definitely going to try this, with a little more weathering before I glue them back together (a couple rolls in the box of rocks) to see if I can get a little more rounding and wear on the edges. Great build. If someone doesn't have a hotwire cutter (like me) I can see using dollar-store foamcore instead. I think it's typically 3/16 in. think.
Exactly. I can get 1/4" foam easily here in Mexico. Insulating is not a thing here, so thicker foams are hard to find. I feel my city walls/sewers/castle falling right into place.

Very nice! A great way to add a vertical dimension to a tabletop.
Keep up the good work.
Really like that solution for the stair steps!
It's simple build but I was looking for something like this for a long time. Thanks
Great project and such a great soundtrack to go with it!
This is a great simple way of putting some height on your table while creating a very classic large scale "who built this!" dungeon atmosphere. An excellent back to basics video! Thanks.
Great stuff. Simple, practical, and easy for a novice to build. I love it.
Yesssss! This is the kind of video I’ve been waiting for! Can’t wait to try these!
Very cool and simple. So versatile too
This was a great video Jeremy; your insta post about it said these were an improvement on your old dungeon stackers and I heartily agree, these look great!

This mini is so sick! Can't wait to paint it up!!
And I can’t wait to see that!
I like the hybrid stair tread depth idea. I'll probably steal that.
Using this for my Giant's Jotunheim fortress' for sure!!
Started running a new campaign in Shadowdark and needed something like this to make my dungeon come to life, awesome as always
I am excited to try Shadowdark. I am waiting for my friend to start a campaign… 😋
I've been on a DnD and crafting inspiration dip for a couple of months since our group had to take a long break, but this video really got me in the mood for some good ol' crafting!
A lot of good ideas that fit in with how I already do things. I like the way this is easy to adapt.
Your videos fell off my feed but picked up again recently. Been loving the new style of your videos and this one might just end up being a weekend project for me!
Glad to have you back!
Great vid! Love the colours you chose for the bricks. Looks slimy!
As always, brilliant work.❤
Excellent video from a master crafter!
Love this style, might try it myself at some point.
that's quality stairs right there. Very inspiring for my own work !
It looks really GREAT man. Big fan here in Vegas. Keep being AWESOME!!!
Those look so sweet!!! I’d bet one could try using peeled foamcore for a similar approach, although I think they are just a touch thinner. Love the hew mini, too!
Always look forward to the turn of autumn so I can jump back into your vids and get crafting
Really love the design and practicality of these.
One of the builds I wanna do from BMC in awhile!
A quick and easy solution to improve our dungeons. Thank you Master Jeremy!😉👍🏻
Nicely done. I may use this method to create ramps, rather than stairs. I will probably put magnets in them as well for more stability.
Excellent, another terrain project for my collection! ❤
Definitely breaking out the craft supplies to do some of these up. Absolutely awesome!
Huzzah,, a master class in crafting.
I will be making a version of this!
Love these stackers. and I'm hyped for those minis
What kind of mask are you wearing while hot wiring the foam and what kind of foam are you using? Thanks ❤❤❤✌✌✌
Rockin' it man! Love your vids Jeremy!
Great idea! Love it!😊
Another beautiful build, and this one is very practical too!
I love the offset in the stairs. Thanks man!
I’m just three minutes in and had to comment: I love how you’ve done the stairs. Looks good *and* is playable.👍
Finished the vid and yep, that’s great stuff. I have a set of dungeon stackers I made after seeing your original vid on them. If I make more, I’ll give this new style a try.
Really great new system! great work!
This is genius, thanks for sharing 🏰
Wonderful build. I can easily see this as the start of making a bunch of terrain based around those walls like wooden decks or Rubble or doing a whole thematic board for it .
Out of curiosity do the stairs fit together so that if you invert one and put the steps together it could make a wall?
I really do love your ideas
Cool build - nice and simple. I like the fishing weight idea.
Best design I've seen in a while.
Another one that may be good for weights would be alloy wheel stick on weights buddy .. they also have tight hold glue strip on the bottom ... its obviously very sticky as they don't fall off no matter how fast you go . Maybe worth giving a box a try

@@samhale5413 up ... constantly given away for someone else to recycle you weigh in lol box of new cheap enough though and would save on glue lol
Cool project man! Well done!
Love the versatility 😊
I need to make some of these. Great idea
Great build like always!
Great idea, process, and presentation. I would maybe suggest adding 1x1 pieces especially if you are running virtual games and players need to be able to see over the terrain walls. Awesome video. Simple and useful project. Love it.
Great project! As always.
I made these a few months ago and I use them for a ton of stuff. They’re definitely not as good as yours though and I didn’t think to make stairs so now I’m gonna make some stairs.
very nice, always great to get good basics!
This looks great
Love it - especially the fishing lures
Always sick content and beautiful ideas love it!
Good project
Nice. I'm going to incorporate this method in my HeroQuest board build.
Great video. May rethink some Relicblade terrain I am planning.
Excellent tip, and video!
I really liked this tutorial video. I would love a mini series on "nothing to something" terrain building. I have more time to play than build/paint/prep. So I do almost none :(
A lovely basic project, love it
