Hello Riya Sensei, Just wanna ask something, I hope u'd still remember me. Just like on this video, you are playing violin outdoor which will be very hard for making violin cover coz of the noise, but still when created this cover the violin sound is very rich and strong. seems like you are just playing on studio. Can you teach me about this? and also what kind of video editor you are using? im just want to make my own version for our anniversary. TIA
Hello Pipoy Silan. My covers are pre recorded before i shoot them outdoor or even indoor, yes it would be really challenging to capture the sound lalo sa violin. Karamihan ng violin youtube artists or mga stringed or cover artists sa song covers ganun kasi mahirap na icapture ung sound nya to begin with tapos yung hindi gagamit ng masyadong reverb. Reason why ginagawa din to is you would want to have that studio quality sound and the ability to take multiple angle shots outdoor without compromising the audio or having the trouble to transition videos with different sound frequencies.
Anyway, what i use is two microphones, no other reason kundi meron ako pareho hehehe sa mga studio you can either choose to have a dynamic or a condenser. I just happen to have both and I am taking advantage of what each microphone can capture. I have a mixer/interface hybrid device then pinapasok ko sya sa DAW ko which is Studio One. Then minimix ko and level ung violin against the backing track, dagdag ng harmony, level ulit. Once happy na ako sa audio, saka ako magrerecord ng video then sync sa FinalcutprozThe downside of doing this atleast for me, is that i dont read music sheet, I have poor rhythmic skills and I rely on feels. So slight difference can be very obvious. It doesn’t mean na mali, pero at the time of recording audio, maaaring iba yung atake konkumpara sa video so it can be off.
