Sometimes we love something and even though it’s “worth” the price we don’t love it enough to pay 💰 the big money for it. I think it’s okay to love something and say “ I love it but I’m not willing to pay that price for it”.
I know. I am over the prices. All of them are charging the same. I wanted a nude bag for my birthday and got the Valentino stud for $1,800 and no one is using it so even better.

I looked at a lot of backpacks before deciding to *topluxs* their bag. I'm so glad I did. This is a beautiful backpack that looks well made. I bought it for an upcoming trip and am so excited to have it. It only took a few days to get here, so the shipping was fast. I highly recommend it and will buy again. It also makes a great gift
I encourage everyone to embrace branching out. I enjoy the diversity of brands and styles and colors. There’s a reason why there are so many brands :) I just stalked and bought (from Europe) a Gucci that sold out in the US. I’ve never been hype on Gucci, and I don’t care what anyone thinks about them that Rosso Ancora crackled patent red leather is to die for. Resale doesn’t come into mind because I love this bag to pieces!!! I’m not going to tell you you’re wrong but if someone isn’t buying what you say you really love, then yes in my opinion it does feel like some sort of brand snobbery. But you aren’t the only one there is an overwhelming Hermes, Chanel, LV bias in our community. Me, I love diversity and getting what makes your heart sing.
OMG I think I know which one you're talking about! I was obsessively nagging my family in Europe to get me one before it sold out in their country lol (it is now!) I'm still waiting for them to travel to the States, and I'm so happy that you're loving yours! I fully agree with you, but I also think it's fine for people to love only the Hermes, Chanel, LV. I've come to accept that it's just a personality and style preference.

Hi Deb! IMHO, the value doesn’t exist in itself. It is based on the perception of each customer, what they are ready to spend to acquire something. Personally I would not spend thousands on Dior bags for instance, as I am not attracted to them and don’t value them as much. I have four Loewe bags and love them! I bought what I had a crush on, without thinking of resale. Love Loewe but I understand your perception of the brand value is different 😊
I would be less likely to buy a Row bag. It has been hyped up and will probably go as quickly as it came when bag bags are no longer in. Personally I think it way overpriced for what it is. ❤

I bought my husband a Bottega Veneta wallet and he absolutely loves it. He doesn’t care for luxury brands, but he appreciated the craftsmanship of the wallet and the no logo!
I own quite a few Loewe bags and the lambskin and even calfskin they useon the flamencos is somewhat delicate. Corners will show wear. The puzzle is the only Loewe bag that has been extremely durable imo.

The bags behind you all have character and the wow factor. The Chanel is an icon, and the others make a statement.
The bags in this video imho don't have that. For example the Squeeze bag, whilst I'm sure it's great quality, and a lovely bag, the design it could be from any brand or store.
I can't speak for your decision making process, but when I'm spending 3k upwards on a bag, I want a statement piece with character.
Yes I love a statement but I also love an every day bag that is beautiful and quality etc
The brands you have bought are seen as the classics, whereas the other brands are more under the radar, more of an "if you know, you know". Not everyone has heard of Loewe, Bottega and The Row.
I dont know if this is a conscious thought, or more subconscious. But at the end of the day, if you don't love them enough, that's OK. I'd definitely say Loewe and Bottega are above The Row, but that's just my opinion. The Puzzle, the Jodi, and the Margot have all had their moments in the spotlight, so that maybe isn't the reason.
I keep coming back to general brand awareness. Most people have heard of Chanel, Dior, Fendi - even if they're not into luxury bags, no so with Loewe, Bottega, and The Row.

Hi Deb, the Row does offer the size 12 Margaux in black and brown suede here in the US. I can really relate to how you feel. I have come so close to buying a Lowe bag and a Bottega bag and could not pull the trigger. I did buy a Margaux bag and have never regretted it, if anything it has made me feel guilty about not carrying my other bags. The thing about the Margaux is that it is a classic bag and will never be out of style. I love it, and yes, I do think of myself as a bit of a brand snob :) My collection is pretty small and curated, and I only keep the bags that I really really love.
I love my flamenco bag so much. I don't wear my other bags anymore. It fits a ton, is light weight, beautiful, slouchy, love it so much!!

I believe there are brands you hold in a much higher regard than others. I am a luxury lover. I have been for years. I will only purchase from the top 4 luxury houses. Dior, Louis vuitton, Chanel, and Hermès because I hold these brands with a much higher regard. ❤
Hello 🥰 I have all of those bags on my wish list and I doubt very much I’ll ever have the chance to own one of them 😂 I can def see the Andiamo fitting in with your style - it comes in a gorgeous brown suede too this winter so it might quash the desire for a Row Margaux too. The Andiamo is the most versatile of all three and can go from day to night. The Squeeze is gorgeous but it’s like the hobo look of your new Hermes Evelyne in style. I love my Loewe bag! I’ve never resold any of my luxury items though so don’t take resale value into consideration. I buy what I love. Have never been drawn to Fendi, Dior, or Hermes. But somehow love Loewe, Bvlgari, and Bottega and think their quality vs. price point feels well worth it to me!

I’m a Loewe fan but you really have to love the bag you buy from them because they don’t hold their value, the exception being the Puzzle. The Squeeze is very trendy and I think in a couple of years you’d be over it. I find their leather far nicer than LV leather (no experience of Chanel leather so I can’t compare) but that’s what they were known for. For me, Chanel and Dior are for clothes, fashion in general, not really leather goods. Hermès and Loewe for leather, LV for travel. Yes they all have nice stuff but they excel in some areas over others.
I would buy the one that wouldn't compete with other styles in my closet. That gorgeous chocolate velvety Row bag would be it!

The burgundy squeeze bag is the one I think you’ll enjoy using for years to come. It checks all the boxes for you. It’s slouchy, not too big, and casual. (Yes, I think you might have a little snob mentality going on. And contrary to what you say, you do expect resale value over what makes you happy)

im the same way. for me why I wont buy brand new is how I see them be in the market. if they are cheaper on the preloved market I'm going there. i don't only save money but also get the chance to be more carefree and use the bag. as much as I want the margaux, I cant spend $4k+ when so many companies are coming out with $55 USD dupes. another bag I want is the medium rodeo, as perfect as it will be for me I'm not buying it brand new and hope it comes in the resale market and I get it at a steal.
I'm the same with these brands, to me, there not high end. If I have that much to spend, I'll always choose the LV Chanel Dior, Hermes. Plus I don't notice them as I do the others
I feel like those bags you haven’t bought doesn’t have logo on them and easily duped. So maybe you don’t feel worth buying them. I love those bags you mentioned too, but I’ll go for dupe first to try out how I feel about them before dropping $4k.

I love the same bags and don’t own any of them.😂 The Andiamo being my favorite, the price always stopped me which makes no sense considering that I buy Hermès and Chanel. The Squeeze bag, it’s because I own a Chanel 22, so to me, it’s too much of the same. The Row bag is not on my list per se but it’s probably because I own Birkins, so I’m like why would I get a Margaux? Deep down, I also know I am a brand snob 🥴, I’m always gravitating between Chanel, Hermès and LV. Dior is not even really my thing, I have only one bag, they are just not my favorite. I do know that I like owning accessories and shoes from my favorite brands. I like my looks to be cohesive and not all over the place by wearing many different brands at the same time.

I think it comes to personal preference. Personally I would never buy LV. Never like their canvas monogram. And seeing how they are treated like trash at the resale market put me off the whole brand even more.
The Row is just overpriced for what they are; it’s just so basic.
Another reason is when brands try to do capsule collections with celebrities to expand their sales. Yes, Dior, I’m talking about you. If this is their way to get back up after the manufacturing scandal, then I’m done with Dior.
Don’t even get me started with LV’s Pharrell Collection 😒. It’s a slap in the face for fashion graduates who are trying so hard to get into the industry.

I think (apologies for the hack-psychology) unconsciously you know you don’t need it. I mean ultimately you need no more ever! But add this to them being from brands you’ve never bought before, it feels safer to stick with the ones you are already in with, rather than add more to the ‘want’ list. If you added three more designers you were buying into, that would be even more to want. You know you already want ‘too’ much. So that part of yourself is saying no! Then the excessive and let’s face it, totally unwarranted, price. Part of us knows it’s way way WAY too much…but we want, so… But they can so they do. (See Dior recently but I’m sure goes for most.) All this goes for me too, by the way. There’s no judgement here. Or maybe I’m just projecting!😂❤
