- Escape with me to one of the most spectacular castles on the Scottish coastline - Dunnottar Castle, in Aberdeenshire. This fortress has seen much of Scotland's colourful and turbulent history. Explore a little of it, learn about the geology, the history and the wildlife.

I see this in my subscriptions, and I'm like "What is this, am I even subscribed to this channel ?"
Then voice over starts and I immediately recognize, and remember that Falconery and Me was about to evolve.
I never expected a video so eddited and written to be honest, but I like it !
I'm still looking forward for more natural filming and talking about offgrid lifestyle and ornithology !
There will be both styles going forward 🥰
Ooooh, thanks for that, haha, I got confused and marvelled successively too
@@RubbishJunk same thing happened to me lol I went past it a few times in my list and then decided for the heck of it I would just see what it was😊🤍🤍🦋🦋🦋
Hi Amy, what a wonderful beginning of this "restart"! Thank you so much.
You have a truly magnificent voice for these videos😁🤍🤍🦋🦋🦋
Thank you 🤗
Loved it,and a Boop Boop to Fable xx
It is so good to see this peace in our troubled world. 😍
Beautiful post my friend. 💛😇
Amazing place! And the estimated span of 5000 BC to 700 AD is just... Unfathomable. Must be such a strange feeling to be standing there, not being able to know how long ago the first stone was placed! My brain itches when I time and time again learn how much we are actually able to figure out about the past, but that so much more will stay a mystery forever. Like finding small traces of gold in a stream, while knowing that the whole mountain range beyond is full of riches that we'll never be able to find.
It blows my mind too! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Love watching Fable, she is so intelligent! Always makes my day better. Thanks. 😊
Also, love your new content, beautiful scenery and so interesting! 😊

Excellent storytelling and beautiful imagery
This was an absolutely wonderful episode, Amy - a feast for the eye and food for thought. I had never heard of that particular castle so I really appreciated learning about it. Loved the sneaky seal! All the very best to you and your family and of course Boop Boop to Fable x

Now I'm sorry I didn't visit it when I was in the Highlands in 1988.
I recommend a trip to Kinloch Hourn, the drive from the main road 20+ miles into the mountains is amazing.
I really enjoyed this. A great mixture of nature at its finest, a stunning historic castle and some historic facts too…fantastic work by you, well done and Boop boop to Fable. 🐦⬛🫶🏼
Absolutely love the rebrand!! Great idea, Fable :)
Oh wow! What a fantastic video and thank you for sharing! Wonderful filming & content! I'm in the USA and am excited to see what you will be showing us next! I wish you the best & blessings in what the future holds for you and your family on this new journey! Thank you for posting & sharing your life with complete strangers! It is amazing what you have done thus far! Your content is good for my soul as I am sure it is for others! God Bless you!
Oh wow, this is so beautifully filmed and narrated Amy... Like a few others here, I took a wee while to " click " that this is you, with your new channel! 😊 One day I would so love to walk on Scottish soil, land of my ancestors, and experience amazing places steeped in ancient history like Dunnottar Castle. Sending love from rural South Island, New Zealand. ( Oh those pebbles on the beach! )
What a special place wow. Casually collecting crystals from the sand. ❤
I have to admit I've never heard of this castle, what a lovely and interesting place.
What caught my eye was the various colours of the pebbles on the beach.
Best wishes from Wales.
The pebbles were beautiful - I now have a new "pet rock" that lives on that beach. Perhaps one day I will be fortunate to visit it in person ☺️
Glad you're back
So beautiful! And the music is so majestic and calming
Beautiful rendition of a historical monument. Thank you for taking us there.
I would love to one day visit the castle dressed in traditional medieval clothings to honor it's past and get inspired myself in return.
Excellent presentation!
My ancestors were 😅the Scottish Border clan that defended Scotland from England alongside William Wallace. And I'm Welch as well.
Beautiful thank you.❤
History and nature, combined in a gorgeous video by someone who shares our passion for these things. So lovely!
And drones have done so much to open up new ways to see so much in the world.
Totally off topic: Heck, even other worlds! We've already sent one to Mars, and a plan is in the works for sending another to Saturn's moon Titan, the best place for powered flight in the solar system, since it has a thicker atmosphere than earth, for lots of lift, and only about 14% of earth's gravity, making everything lighter. Can anyone tell what another passion of mine is?
Excellent pivot, ma'am
Wonderful content, I loved the beach, especially the dazzling stones. Oh yes, a Boop boop from me too. ❤
That was wonderful and looks like a beautiful place to visit Amy. Thanks for showing us around. Hope that you, your family & Fable are doing well. 👍👍
My ancestors on my Dad's side hailed from Inverness In the Scottish Highlands. I'm fairly certain they were farmers. First ancestor left Scotland in his early twenties and settled in Tennessee around 1750 (I live in California btw). Really enjoyed the tour of Dunnotter Castle and learning about its history. Your son was enjoying it too--he's a cutie. Thanks, Amy!
Masterfully done + thoroughly enjoyed... Happy to see this featured [was there over 20 yeara ago, but could not see it the way you filmed it!]... Sharing :) 🙏🌞🌿
I had forgotten about your new videos but I recognize your voice. This is wonderful.💚
Oh thank you! Glad you liked it :)
❤Wow! Terrific video! Thank you & very well done & narrated! The drone footage excellent! This was enjoyable to watch. That ‘keep’ must’ve been really something to see in all it’s glory. If the walls could speak…..
Boop boop from 🇨🇦
Looking forward to your new branding.
Breathtaking, selkie and all 😍
🦭💕
Amasing video. Thank you.
Best video I've sern in years! Going to visit there very soon x Thanks 🥰
I’ve followed you for years, through the many hardships you’ve faced. I have so much admiration for you in how you’ve continued to persevere and now produce even higher quality videos. How do you do it. Here’s to you, quas like you, the de’al you in….
Thank you so much for the support!
Awesome 😍
Thanks 🙏
Wonderful just beautiful video I am a Kiwi but with a Grandparent being Scots so this was particularly special for me ❤
Hi Amy. Today I found the "newly named" channel because there was a clip of you in a story on AOL. I like your theory about the birds in the woods as the possibility for the "spooky" sounds that create myths & legends. I LOVE the video of Dunnottar Castle. Absolutely beautiful. You mentioned how Clan Keith owned the castle in the past. Clan Keith is "my clan" so it was nice to see "the old homestead." LOL. Thanks for sharing an interesting place. I look forward to seeing more wings and wild lands. Thank you.
Loved this video and the new channel. Your voice is perfect for this kind of voiceover. Regards to your family and Fable.
Cool stuff 🌈
❤ Rich content! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your narrative and background music really made me wish to go there to visit. Ill never be able to, so it was a very great pleasure to experience it through your eyes.
Haven’t been well recently, only just saw this and realised the name change lol. Amy, this is an absolutely stunning film you’ve made. I love how you’ve told the history story of Dunnottar castle and captured its beautiful and rather majestic surroundings. I love your reflection at the end of how you felt walking in the footsteps of those before you all throughout the centuries. Can’t wait to see more adventures.
Welcome back!
Congratulations!; I'm sure you'll be sharing many more quality vids with us in the future.
Lovely. Your visuals are outstanding.
Superb, great video.
Lovely, i did wonder obviously how I received this post, but soon settled into an enjoyable watch.
I enjoyed the well chosen backing track too.
Good luck to you and your family.
Hopefully we will see boop boop occasionally. 😊
There will definitely still be plenty of Fable videos :)
Nature and history...wonderful. Miss Fabel but this is wonderful 🎉🎉🎉
Abanger of s first episode! Boop boop to Fable.
Love this new content 👌 ❤
What a great video Amy, not hard to work out why that particular spot was chosen for a fortress! stunning drone footage
I want to go to there. 😍
I first visited there with a friend in 1980, to be greeted by a local lady with a very broad local accent waving what looked like a duster or tea-towel out of the highest window you see in the entry tower, screaming "We're no open, ye can't come in! It's a Sunday!"
Presumably a caretaker of some sort. In fairness, she had to bellow to be heard above the wind and waves
Completely different, but very nice and- as always- very thoughtful ❤
I was impressed in the first moments with drone view how the castle's main and only gateway wounded upwards?
Coming in hot like a peregrine dive!
Love this Amy!!!
Gorgeous.
Thank you! 😊
So well done!!
This isn't the content I signed up for!.. But I really enjoyed it :)
💛💛💛
Gorgeous video! Thank you Amy ❤️🐦⬛❤️
Ummm, you did say you were thinking of buying an abandoned homestead, but I really pictured something smaller - this will do nicely though, very nicely Indeed! ☺️😉
❤❤❤
Just for the tiniest fraction of a split second, I thought you guys had bought a castle!
If only :') I'd be there in a heartbeat!
👍👍👍BOOP BOOP🎉🎉🎉
Well Done ❣️❣️❣️
Every time we drive by there i want to stop and go explore but having to use a crutch, there is no way i would be able to get up those steps without falling 😆
The steps are brutal! You can still get some beautiful views from the cliff top if you park at the car park. It doesn't cost to do that. You only pay when you get inside the castle.
could always get hubby to walk up the steps and take some photos for me lol
❤❤
Aw, wow. If I didn't already follow you, I'd be following you now.
My brother lives very near Dunnottar Castle and often takes his dog walking along the cliffs. Look out for a large mad Black Labrador!
Ooow how I miss Scotland
It's a very special place!
Honestly you could talk about your favorite shiny pebbles to an accompanying pipe and drum and I would watch.
I wanna move to Scotland 😭
One small correction... it's in Aberdeenshire, not Angus
You're right! I've corrected it - we live in Angus and I think I wrote the description at 2am woops!
Sadly the views from the castle are now spoiled by wind turbines both on land and at sea.
