Hi, I have the 5kw model with a 5 kW battery. It is working fine with little noise. I had it for 6 weeks without a battery. The battery was installed a week ago. Though, I have a problem that baffles me. My electricity board app tells me I consume between 5-6 kWh a day. Yet my battery never goes below 80% overnight. The consumption profile follows the pattern of our use of solar panels and battery but not as high. When I check the inverter panel, for example when I use the electric kettle, it shows that our consumption is covered fully by either the solar panel in the daytime or the battery at night. Has anyone any idea what's the cause of this?
Congrats on your new acquisition. We don't have the ability to sell back so we have not experience. Confirm your time of use settings. See if that helps
Hi Dr Solar. Is the Deye able to switch the generator off again and return to inversion when it recognizes the batteries are charged? Also can it choose between switching on generator or the grid to manage loads and charge the batteries. Would I need to only have either the grid or a generator and not both as how would it differentiate the two?

what is different between sg05 and sg03 or sg04?
Thank you for watching and commenting. I have not done a Deye inverter in a while. I will guess the Sg05 is newer than the Sg03. There might be some changes to the devices. Just guessing
I was told the luxp 5 kwh hybrid can only output 3.6 kwh and the deye can output actual 5 kwh. Is this true???
On battery power that is correct. If you have pv or the grid then the full 5 kw
@@drsolar Is that typical for inverters to not be able to use their full capacity for batteries or is that just a luxp design weakness?
@@myparadiseonbantayanisland9030 some manufacturers do that. Goodwe used to be like that with earlier generations of inverters.
Please reply as quick as possible, Sir
Hi there Sir, the 100% same of deye inverters are available in Pakistan but they have changed the logo and name,
Nitrox 5G 5KW .... otherwise it's all the same to same... but I didn't use yet,
I'm planning to buy soon and use, I hope this would be the best investment.
Sir, can we put all the load on it for a few hours?
How many watts in load?. I run mine 24 hours a day and so do most of my clients. Load varies from 400 watts to 2500 watts for hours at a time
@@drsolar for example, this is a 5kw inverter right,
So if we put all the load on it I mean all the 5kw on it, so is that will still run for few hours.
All I mean is can we run water heaters and room heaters for few hours.
Water heater is 2000W and room heater is also 2000W.
I hope you got my mean!
@@veed_official yes you can as long as you have the battery to support it
@@drsolar thank you so much....

I have a 3Kw 24v inverter and system, financially I’m unable to upgrade to 5Kw 48v all at once. I’m thinking of getting the 5Kw Sunsynk, upgrade my wiring upgrade my dc breaker but still run my current battery bank of 100ah x 6 AGM batteries. Can I change my:
• charge voltage on the inverter, since my consumption won’t go up
• is this safe on my batteries?
They would on work as 48V. The battery range is pretty wide, You will ether use 4 of your batteries if they are 12V or buy new batteries.
Hi were u able to correct the noise/buzzing problem?
I got used to it. It is the cooling fan. Thank you for watching and commenting
Hello. Have you been able to use BMS communication between Weco and Deye? I would prefer that rather than using the Deye with the voltage measure system. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes you have to crimp the cable the communication cable to have the set of pins that work with both. Email me and I will send you the info. Please don't forget to subscribe and share

Hello Dr. Solar, may I ask what your connection there is it line to neutral? The reason Im asking is that in my region they are selling the EU version which matches line to neutral connection.. However, where I live our outlets are line to line. Since the available units are EU versions therefore it will not work in the area where I live? Thanks
Good day from Lagos. Which country are you in? The EU version has 3 wires L N E. What do you have where you are? I did not quite get what you meant by line to line? Do you meet each side can be the live? No matter how you flip the plug?
@@drsolar , Hi Dr Solar, from Philippines.. L1 L2 wires does not match L N of EU version
@@nestyplus in the Philippines you run US 110V. Ask them to sell you a US version. As long as you are not buying it for US in the USA or US territories they will sell it to you
Where can i find this in EU?
You probably meant neutral wire is grounded? If this is mono phase connections.
So for a DIY lifep04 battery with BMS but unable to communicate with the Deye inverter, will the Deye be able to measure the current charge and discharge to give a better accurate battery SOC similar to the BMS SOC? Can you confirm? Thanks a lot.
Thank you for watching and commenting. For your custom battery, you will have to use lead acid settings and voltage instead of percentage. The inverter tries to learn over time and comes close. But it won't match the battery BMS for accuracy. Please subscribe and share. Stay safe and healthy
Thank you.
Good day, to be able for the deye to read the battery bms, select on the deye "lithium" and on next page set protocol 00 and use the can port on the deye inverter to can port on battery.
@@johannwentzel1125 Some have BMS like "DALY BMS" but no CAN port. So no other option but use DEYE lead acid setting.
@@drsolar Hello again. When you say DEYE will learn over time, do you know how DEYE learns to get an approximate SOC? Is it the typical SOC to battery voltage for lead acid? Unfotunately, Lifepo4 has a flat voltage to SOC (from 10% to 90%) and it will not be possible to tell the SOC percentage at a voltage level.
Where can I purchase this invertor in the US or the Caribbean?
Hello Brittney, Sol-Ark is the only one that can sell this to you in the US. Where in the Caribbean are you? Thank you for watching and commenting

Thank for watching, Yes it is.
hello.. i have a problem with deye 5k hybrid.. my psy and some chargers are buzzing(making a noise not all people can here.. but i do) is there a solution so i can prevent the noise?
Deye has an internal and external fan. That could be what is transferring to the other devices if they are on the same board or wall. Electronic noise? I have no answers.
Check the frequency settings

Hi
I need to install this deye 5kw

Other than putting in battery setting no battery, is there anything elese i have to setup?

Do you have this inverters in stock?

I have a Deye inverter that says mppt can take 13a each from the panels. Will I destroy the inverter if I use panels rated at 15amps?
No you won't. WIth losses the panels will never see 15 amps
That sound is not normal, take it back, also you have installed it to close to the wall on the right
Thanks for the heads up. Thanks for watching and commenting and please don't forget to subscribe.

Thank you for watching and commenting. The system will look for the grid first. If you have checked the generator charge and are using the dry contact it will start and stop the generator based on parameters you set. Sadly it won't switch to the grid if the grid comes.
@@drsolar Thank you for the reply understood. Another question. Does the Deye and Sunsynk program in exactly the same way as I know it’s the same company but is the menu profile and set ups identical?
