The reason why the other mage was doing less healing is, even though the other mage was doing mass beacon and beacons are shared, you’re are the one doing the most damage and therefore healing his beacon targets. This effect counts as your healing, not his. If beacons were not shared, he would be doing more healing than you.
FYI, today's patch changes the interaction between the stacks of arcane blast and living flame. On boss fights, you would want to get to four stacks before using living flame then going to your conservation rotation until your living flame is about to come off cooldown again.
since rank 1 missles has terrible spellpower scaling, with decent gear and mana allowing, I think casting out max rank of missles to clear the stacks is the play. With how fast fights are I was able to do this without going oom, although now with 4 stacking blast to cast a big flame im not so sure.
With how fast my guild is clearing things lately, I don't even stay away from using 4 blasts before missiles/flame the entire fight. I don't go into a conserve phase anymore. That definitely depends on killt times and whatnot, though.@@homeless0alien
unless they changed it clearcasting doesn't work on regen, which is kinda annoying same time, wording doesn't look like it should proc on regen/mass regen but it does
arcane focus only needs 2 pts to spell hit cap vs bfd with blackfathom mana oil, 3 without (5% hit caps bfd, epic tailoring boots also change the math slightly)
Sick video dude thanks so much! While raiding, do you recommend I allow the full cast of arcane barrage rank 1? Or should I instead just cancel the cast to drop the de-buff, then do arcane blast? I feel like you would gain more dps by cancelling the rank 1 arcane barrage to save more time
I usually let it ride but sometimes I'll cancel early when the gcd for arcane blast is finished. On Kelris phase 2 I'll switch to arcane blast x4 followed by rank 3 arcane missiles for the most dps
The rank 1 is to conserve mana, but if you don't have any mana issues, you should definetly use max rank for more dps - i'd assume you just have better gear than the average mage, or havn't traded as much SP for int
@@AcrossTheSea12 The idea is to have a conservative rotation, where you dump AB stacks early so they don't get too expensive to cast, you can by all means do this by wanding twice as you put it. But if you wanna wait for a regen tick, you gotta trigger the 5 second rule, and then wait for the world tick, which is at best a 5 second wait or at worst a 7 seconds wait. Now the debuff does last 6 seconds, so you can do this, but you're losing out on casts, which goes against your casters ABC (always be casting) .. If you just wanna wand and chill with mana regen, you might aswell burn all of it
Thank you for saving my mage! I was frost and the DPS was so low and mana usage so high. This solved all my problems. (Changed the chest rune to burnout for the crit%)
Frost is doing badly because of a ton of factors such as talent points not being up there yet and Fire just having had new Spellranks while Frost is waiting for 3 more levels to get theirs.

Pick up clearcasting talent and if you get a proc you can use max rank arcane missiles or regeneration
