I don’t know why you’re bringing this up, this was common knowledge since Dimension Slash was introduced. The only problem is that when Empty Void is using the technique, it’s not infinite speed. This is most likely how Blast was able to see it coming, and get out of the way, since he can sense energy.

Blast cannot see through fogs isn't a weakness. He clearly can do something about it. The problem is Blast is trying to hide his presence from Flashy Flash. Blowing away or teleporting the fogs is announcing his presence.
When it looked like void cut through Sonic, blast created a dimensional gate to save him. Sonics upper half of body looked like it got cut off but it was really him going into the gate creating the illusion he got cut in half. Look back at the battle between saitama and garou and you will see similar half bodies.
I’m pretty sure he died from Cell exploding, not King Kai’s planet. After all, Cell is the one exploding, and King Kai’s planet is only being destroyed from the explosion.
