By doing this (letting Thalapathy sit back and letting Angel represent the player's case), the director subtly conveyed a beautiful comparison.

I think Sudarshan is good character, we don't have to be hard against him...his thoughts are based on what elders taught him in the first place...but when he realises what it is to stop someone's dreams he changed to become a good and supportive husband...all in all that was a good scene and a beautiful one
