For a game about exploration this area sure doesn't encourage it. At all. If I go two feet away from something hot for a couple minutes i just freeze to death. So all that happens is I want in and out of there as quickly as possible.

My friend and I looked at each other, I asked „Do you... do you see this snow pile?“ and they were like „Yeah...“ and we just started chuckling really uncomfortably and saying „Oh *no* “ back and forth 😂

They need to make it where cold character or hot characters aren't affected by the elements that they are like if it's cold zone use a fire character to stay warm and if it's a warm zone use a ice character to stay cool
Personally I think that'll balance out the agony induced by temperature effects
also how Xinyan can make an entire force field of fire but you still freeze to death

I think they might add coats as a way to prevent coldness, maybe only in Snezhnaya its not cold enough for a huge puffy snowcoat not to work. Like how can people live there if they are about to die every minute they are outside?

That's a good thing isn't it? I PHYSICALLY feel pain going there. But you feel cold so you can relate to the characters in-game. Also the weather here (irl) is cold so I feel cold.

By biggest Dragonspine pain is summoning Gouba with Xiangling to light a torch, only for him to spit the fire in the exact opposite direction...Same with chests hidden in ice.
She was one of my strongest but this is the reason I started leveling Bennett and Xinyan instead (Especially Bennett being the torch slave). Gouba is nice for electro hypostasises but so annoying in Dragonspine

@@yaynaymaroon651 So, I don't know if you reached the last teleport, but just in case and for other newcomers wondering: you have to do the "In the mountains" quest.
Otherwise, the snowstorm is still in effect and you can't go there.

That goes "AFK" go straight home lol. I was checking my inventory and looking at my artifacts after like 10 to 15 minutes of checking I go back and all my characters are dead lol.
I went to the toilet for a minute and when I back everyone already dedd
I hate to admit it but, but this happened to me 4 times now. 1 time when I ate, 2 times when I was also managing my artifacts and 1 time when I AFK because I went to see if there was anyone outside my home, when I came back I saw Qiqi, the last of my party, die in front of my eyes. In the last 3 times I thought the brazier was lit but for some reason, it wasn't.
This mountain has taken from us too much. Let's call Klee to destroy it.
it is more deadly when we took our time choosing char in the new dungeon, and by the time we begin, the char was almost dead,
sometimes in mobile it gets very laggy but the sheer cold keeps going up and up and then when its no longer lagging, the sheer cold is already full :(

The biggest pain is your only pyro character died to Sheer Cold and your other characters standing in front of a unlit torch shivering like hell
Edit: After eaten a Teyvat Fried Egg your pyro character died again before lighting the torch.

Heres a tip when being afk: click on esc (or the menu) and stay there while your afk meanwhile paimon stares into your characters souls :D

Because I like new areas and it’s not that hard for me to keep track of heat sources (or warp when I can’t find one)
I really do think it's hard but I try to farm for Primos so that's really how I pushed myself to go in this region
The last time I was in Dragonspine, I was trying to find Joel's father, and when I saw someone wanted to join my world, I immediately let them in and said help me, I hate this place. And they were like, lolz sure, I love Dragonspine. And they proceeded to help me with the quest :3

What i hate from dragonspine is that the gear you get like the warmimg bottles or food to warm you up DONT DO SHIT the bar still goes fast asf
The goulash is kind of ok but the bottle is a joke. What are you doing in dragonspine that would let you stay in the same 1m radius for the bottle to even be useful???

I don't have much problem with my Barbara
I recommend 2 fire members when going to dragonspine. I didn't have too much trouble even at low levels. Anything with timed bosses is a struggle but I could generally get through it alright with patience.
I used anemo traveler, Bennette, Zhongli, and Xinyan. Bennette is good for lighting fires and stuff with his low cooldown. I never used him in combat, though. At the time I used Xinyan for dps and her fire abilities I used as backup when fighting the cold incase Bennette wasn't available. Disclaimer, I did get super lucky pulling Zhongli around ar 10, so his shield was a big help when I was still weak.

I remember one of the challenges you need to complete to open the giant door at Starglow Cavern and it was to fight 3 Abyss Mages in 60 seconds, that, that was harder than getting 3 stars on floor 11 chamber 2

I feel like people don’t know that if you stand to the side of the ruin harder when it’s doing that laser thing, it’ll just never hit you? I mean obviously use your brain and stay alert but seriously, these things are easier than ruin hunters imo bc they’re way slower.
I agree. They pretty much have the same mechanics as ruin hunters. And the whole game encourages dodging, so simply strategy would be to stay at their sides when they shoot their lasers. Plus their weak spot is on their shins, which is a very easy spot to reach.
Agreed. I personally think Dragonspine as a whole has the right balance of challenge - not too difficult, not too easy. The ruin grader isn't as scary as I thought they would be.
Yeah i thought at first ruin graders are terrifying, but then i fought them alone with pure brute strength (I main Razor), its easy to reach their weak spots.
Cryo Cicins Mages have regenerative shield and I hate it so much. Frostarm Lawachurls are surprisingly easy, if not for their locations such as that one in the middle of freaking snowstorm.

The irony is that you can accidentally catch yourself on fire after using a pyro character during a fight and yet the sheer cold bar will still go up

In Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko breathes a little fire out of his mouth and survives standing in a 50 below freezer for over an hour.
In Genshin Impact, Diluc releases a mfing phoenix from his flaming sword while Xiangling’s Beyblade of heat swings around him and he still dies of frostbite in under a minute.

Tip: if you’re freezing in dragonspine and there aren’t any sources of heat nearby, go to the test run menu and do the test run of a random event character. While you’re in the test run your sheer cold will automatically reduce.

Life Hack/ Fun fact: for the ice draining hp just craft some Gulash, it reduces the ice tremendously and there’s a recipe to make it where you prevent others from freezing
There's also that one bug during the co-op for the Cryo Rigisvine: basically we encountered it by shattering the shield in like 10 seconds or so, then the enemies forever respawned so we decided to die... well on the upside at least our characters weren't full...
Yeah, me too got many bugs during the co-op one in every world of different players.
Like the shielding crystal cannot be destroyed, the cryo regisvine doesn't move and cannot take damage, the protective shield from his rampage suddenly disappears even though he hasn't finished rampaging.
Even while the event was ongoing, entering another player's world taken longer on the loading screen and became laggy.

I got this quest when I was on Adventure level 15 when I was just roaming around... Now I spent like a month grinding my ass of to complete it.
Pro tip
NEVER go AFK while you're in Dragonspine unless you're standing next to a heat source, teleport waypoint or statue of the seven lmao.
I wandered in Dragonspine looking for Joel's dad and I didn't find his dad, instead I discovered that you can use the stationary torch lights in order to warm your character.
My utter anguish for the large snow hilichurl just ignites pure rage whenever I see the area with the scarlet tree 💀

You forget to mention accidentally hitting an object with the scarlet stone, denying you from finishing "In the mountains" quest.
I didn't relate to the frozen core with the heating stone because using an archer to shoot it is much easier
spending money for good units don't make someone any smarter
dragonspine is such a nightmare the mission to thaw out the shards has been sitting in my quests since AR 11
I started Genshin last week and I had a quest that required me to go to Liyue for the first time. I checked my map and chose what appeared to be the shortest path....which took me through what i now know as dragonspine.
The fact that I was able to accidentally automatically get the chilled boar meat is my pride 😌

the list of uncompleted stuff i have to do in dragonspine:
-unlock cryo hypostasis
-unlock the waypoint at the peak + peak of vindagnyr or whatever
-complete any world quests in it (literally i havent even talked to joel nobody cares about your missing daddy)
-actually explore it and dont just stand in front of the first ice thingy waiting to see if scarlet quartz respawns
