I like how this guys is animated. He's not entirly coordinated. He just lashes out at anything bothering him, but most of the time he just hits something by pure accident, not calculated aim, like a real panicked/enraged gator.
Real crocs are pretty damn fast though, so idk that they would be able to outrun a giant one. Just standing and screaming every single time is pretty stupid though. At least hide

They may only keep up a max speed for a few body lengths, but given the length of the mutant croc that would be enough! The mutant croc is also not behaving like a regular animal- it’s panicking and lashing out. So it is more inclined to pursue than a normal animal on a hunt

Remember Lizzie from Rampage? She looked like someone took an alligator, dunked it in glue and rolled it in an ivory black market. Awesome design.
Each monstrous being has a different strain really. Lady D is part of the mold strain which is very malleable. This gator probably is more along the lines of the old T or G strain.

You are entirely right, but look under the mandible, there's a smaller protruding one that seems to be of an Alligator's. Now, quite frankly, I didn't see any more traits to have seem to be an Alligator Crocodile Hybrid aside that possible extra mandible. I think the CGI animators forget that the bigger the creature, the slower it moves due to gravity. When they have a huge croc like this moving/turning/spinning quickly, it just makes it look unrealistic. But the slower it moves, it's what one would expect.
How can I forget that SCP-682 existed in the Resident Evil series? 😅 imagine. The crocodile or reptile may not be noticeable, but for a large size, they look similar and the scp also has a crocodile mouth.
As someone with no exposure to RE, I actually kind of love the design for this thing. It looks more "realistically" mutated than a lot of creatures, with the split tail and the hump and the jaw that’s just…wrong.
