I love Cory, so I watched the whole video even though every time he played it sounded exactly the same.

The JHS Moonshine has had a "Dry Additive" knob since V3, or v4 I think - really adds versatility! Nice to see that feature on other drives

Funny how he has no idea what the difference is between the modes but he completely nailed it: I - III - V are Silicon diodes. II - IV are LED diodes (brighter/less compressed).

I was thinking the same about Cory. And actually one can hear those families. I have this pedal since yesterday and can confirm.

Shouldn’t have used the compressor since it’s a demo. Doesn’t give a real idea of what it sounds like as the comp changes it. Still sounds killer though and gotta love anything Corey does.

It would have been nice to hear it without the compressor. Good review otherwise. Sweetwater rocks!

I think a compressor is a big part of his style and feel. Iv started to play alot with a compressor since being in a funkish band and I'm starting to understand his mindset.

I don't think Cory's skill lies in pedal reviews XD

Do I believe that he didn't take the 5 seconds to read the instructions, but hit the feature set on the head? No, - - I think it's an naive act. It's only complicated to a newbie, - or if you have a learning disorder.
It's a useful pedal for stacking or staging , especially with the dry blend. The first 3 can be used like an 808 ,or SD1 , to push mids and shelve lows, with the last two actually adding gainier versions, as to eliminate another staging pedal.
The blend is what makes it stand out, otherwise, you've seen this before on the EQD Palisades. Walrus always provide musical tools.

Long time sweetwater customer here. Dude never plays a single sustained note. It’s pretty difficult to tell what a drive pedal sounds like without it. Plus it seemed like his guitar was a little out of tune or not well intonated. It’s a great pedal though.

Well its not a walrus for sure but it has 4 tusks and 3 trunks so Im not sure its an elephant either.

Why would they use a compressor? Just leave that out.
