Serr, you got some great images on Sunset Blvd. some of your shots reminds me of Christopher Doyle, cinematographer for the Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai. They both have this amazing ability to capture the mood, spirit of the moment. You seems to have that on Sunset Blvd. ✌🏼

@@dennisng4627 I do own the criterion box ;) WKW hasn't directed any new movie since 2013... Not sure if he has changed his style but The Grandmaster honestly doesn't look like a WKW film, or, let's say, doesn't have a WKW look ;)
@@Jpeglism it’s a beautiful box set. Criterion is having a 30% off on its entire catalog in May. WKW is currently working on a film...given his propensity to work without a script & working according to his moods,🤷🏻♂️ when it will be released. I think most directors are interested in making a Kung fu movie for the fun factor & it’s a difficult genre to make artfully. I also liked My Blueberry Night for its photogenic style in cinematography.

Cool grade especially the video. Btw have you sold your bmpcc? you haven't made any videos about it lately and also remember seeing a post about it on reddit.
I did sell it sadly. I needed a hybrid stills camera so I bought a Fujifilm xt4. Once I have enough to afford it again I will 100% be purchasing it again and rigging it up. The image quality is just so filmic. Do you own a BMPCC?
@@serr Yeah, I like taking pictures too so am contemplating getting a hybrid. As there is no option of taking stills in the bmpcc and the only stills camera I have is an old T3i.
@@saiashwin26 yea it’s tough, but I think it’s better to have a camera that can do both photo and video! If you ever need help looking for a hybrid camera hit me up on IG, I can give you a few recommendations.

And is the ibis „necessary“ to get auch photos at night? Im not sure if the xt4 is worth it over the xt3 for photography only
LA is gorgeous, especially at night. I’ll be making an editing video in the near future. The only shots I’d say you’d require ibis are the “panning shots” where you track a person or car with a slow shutter speed to get them in focus while everything else is moving & blurred. & even then, you’d still be able to get them without ibis, it just makes it easier to nail focus. I’m actually getting rid of my xt4 & settling for an xe4 for now, I don’t think I’ll be missing ibis too much.
