IISTOO screened at PALENA film festival , Italy
and In-Short Film Festival Lagos, Nigeria.
Mostly when Parsi cuisine is talked about it's the Patra-ni-macchii or the Dhansak.
IISTOO remains the lesser known but frequently eaten delicacy.
So are our emotions frequently felt but less visited and lesser spoken about.
IISTOO is the story of a functional family whose unique members, like the ingredients of the IISTOO, blend into each other in spite of their different tastes.

A thumbs UP from this Hindustani Parsi in the USA. Was born & raised in Bombay & remember playing "Taj, Khaloo, Pigeon, Saavak, Kemado, Bhamado (hope I got that right?) with cousins as a child, and Kakarya Kumaar. I just remember those names, but fail to remamber how the games were played. Something with hands piling on top of one another or something. Brought back good old memories. I enjoyed the film, for the most part. The little boy, the old lady & the old man were my favorites. Good direction & acting, but the script was a little tooooo tedious. To All my Beloved Jaathwallas - Ushta-te!!

Watched for the second time. It was very well acted by all the characters. Mota Papa was the best because as I know him a very quiet person has the maximum role to play. Mami being a chatter box in personal life has played a complete different role which is creditable. Zeus is very smart and a good companion to Mota Papa. The Parsi living style is well shown. Good and matured understanding at the end. Enjoyed all through.

Loved this movie. My children, sister, mom and niece watched it with me. This review is long over due like the many other things on my to-do lists. The whole movie has a sweet countenance, a gentle rhythm. It made me smile often. Zeus, played by Shahaan who is such a natural actor, was my favorite character. And the loving connection shared with the grandfather, who is tired of holding onto his anger. The busy, bustling, grumbling, wishful character Perizaad, who just wants family to get along. Each character has a strong sense of who they were. There are many ways to finesse this movie further but the story and the actors make it a worthwhile watch. I look forward to seeing more from Nozzer and Team.

Such a simple and sweet film. It's got the emotions we all live in our normal lives (not like other commercial films). Great acting by lads who are not professional actors, but are very successful in their respective fields. Great direction too! I love the film! And so proud of you all!

Wow! This was such a simple and well-narrated film. Loved Zeus and Mota Pappa's camaraderie. Super-excited to see my teacher (Dhun miss) in such a lovable grandma's character :) Kudos to all the actors!

Reality is so different for most people which this film fails to show. Typical feel good movie with no eyes on realities. I have known at least 10 different parsis who have married out and only 1 has ever told me that he/she was happy rest have just moved on saying what to do now....but I can understand this movie when Parsi Times is involved. I am also most surprised to see people eating with hands in a parsi house. That's a rare sight and does not reflect the standards of the community at present.

Can anybody recommend a documentary film about Parses? I really like to know more about them as an Iranian and Persian. I Couldn’t find a good movie reflecting their culture and faith properly yet. I would be thanksfull if somebody can recommend me a good one.

How many characters played in the film are Gujeratis or otherwise. Their accent doesnt match and are actually making an effort to speak like parsees.
