If it helps any, I've seen people mention on other videos that hobonichi cautioned against using the card slots for actual bank cards due to the magnet. If that's so, you may have dodged an issue anyway. But happy you found another great use for it!
I had seen on reddit that someone was brave enough to do some surgery on theirs! They removed the magnets from both sides and added in a snap closure so that it would be safe to use with their bank cards!
Yes, exactly! It's so cute! I have no regrets other than I initially thought it would be good as a wallet, but it's too loose for that. I do absolutely love it for an on-the-go journaling cover.
