NHRA is a sport where you get to meet your heros' face to face. I've met many of mine with the price of a pit pass and the nerve of a kid. This guy never changes, take him or leave him. John Force is a hell of a sweet guy. Maybe he has no friends. BUT he's got scores of fans, me included. I'll always think of him as a people person first. His driving record speaks for itself. Totally agree bro. Drag Racing (especially in the NHRA) is the most fan friendly ticket you can ever purchase. 150 victories....lets ponder that for a moment. Richard Petty...200 victories. How many miles did that take? I'll bet that Force doesn't even have 600 miles to get to 150 LOL. Fact is I truly believe the 150 wins for Force were much more difficult to achieve than Petty's 200

I've been fortunate enough to got to spend a few minutes of time alone with John at a race in charlotte, when I walked away I said to him, when I thought you couldn't be any cooler, you just proved me wrong! he sat and talked with me like we were friends forever, truly a gentleman and a person to look up to on our sport

An absolute drag racing legend. But we all have to throttle back sometime,jump out the seat john,steer some young talent in your old hot rod,let everybody do their jobs,go promote the force brand and enjoy the fruits of your labours.
I know John...its those woman. He'll never show Laurie, OR any of their kids that spot . The more they poke, the tougher that spot becomes. Until those Force Girls get a Win light, this point isn't even in Johns melon. Win light or not, parts failures?, explosions? crazy interviews aside, the man feels NHRA Drag Racings future is a responsibility, every competitor bears. Some come and go for the thrill, and bring money to try. As per NASCAR. Some come to stay, try and fail, and finally make it to the top. John doesn't race for the purse anymore. The dough simply keeps the big Force machine moving. He employees a small town, happily seeks out new partners/sponsors while the other teams simply go to bed with them. I believe that he brings more future money to NHRA. In the end of it all, he'll be compared with/to/along side Dale Earnhardt, both having died in a crash.......on the final pass. Capt. B. Bart

John this year when I was at the US Nationals and I had to go around the event on the scooter because of my broken pelvis I've only two weeks old, you are getting ready to make your first pass on Monday and you would Courtney came over to me and told us you sign our stuff because we've been waiting so long... If you do not like John Force and what he has brought to Drag Racing it may be you that has something not quite right. We Love John and his family! dont worry about prudhomme, hes done some great things in drag racing but he can also be one bitter guy. i met john 20+ years ago & he was charming, helpful, talkative (no surprises there) & you just got a overwhelming feeling for the love of drag racing.

Force reminds me of the Simpsons...both have been around so long, you almost take them for granted, but when they're gone, we'll all be like "I wished I would have watched them more than I did".
I've watched Prudomme,"hope I spelled The Snakes name right ?" The Snake didn't take time for his fans and acted like a snob! I still like him ! Then I looked at John Force who was signing everybody's autograph, taking pictures,and shaking hands and a big smile on his face doing it !!! Raymond Beadle and John Force probably my favorite Drag Racers !!! I love em all hate to see us lose this sport !!! They should respect you John Force you are The REAL Deal !!!!!
After 40 years plus the Names I can still recall--- Kenny Bernstein, Cruz ..all the Pedregons, Don Prudohme the Snake, John Force , Schmacher, Bob Glidden , Warren Johnson, Connie Kalitta, Shirley Muldowney,, BIG Daddy Don Garlits , Dyno Don Nicholson and there were other Legendary guys and gals up front and behind the scenes...but I believe the early years were best when a guy could bust his behind and go racing...an average Joe in the 50's and early 60's...and 1969-1999 was the exciting hey-dey of big money, ballz to the Wall drag racing with work ethic and talent ...just the best Era ever. I occasionally watch now..and they talent is there and new records...but different....it seems sterilized and over commercialized I guess.

I have had mixed feeling about John but this last year things have changed . I still think he is nuts but he does have a big heart!! I work for is arch nemesis and this last weekend we kicked the rods out and John followed us back to the pit on his scooter tell me to tell my boss if we need anything he’s got us he was very adamant about helping us. Also in brainerd I gave johns crew a ride from the zoo back to their hotel because I was the DD . I’m glad I get to race against John every weekend and he is a good guy for the most part. The cool thing is he is now becoming the black hat no more white hat for john

I'll have to admit I used to root for Al Hofman over John Force because he was a bit of an underdog. Had sponsorship deals gone a bit better for Al I've no doubt he would have won far more than he did. But anyone who started with almost nothing and built that to a multi car and multi multi million dollar race team business like John Force has should have earned anyone's full respect and admiration. You don't do anything 1/10th as well as he has by being a "dummy". Too old? Not even close. As smart as John Force is there's not a hope he'd still climb in the seat if he honestly knew or even thought he was.
Turning Point, I’m glad someone else saw it... Al Hofman was as real as it gets as a driver to me too... I still remember one thing he said in an interview, “It’s hard to keep on old dog down...” Gone too soon and yes, he would’ve fought to the end with everything he had... RIP “AL”🙏🏾👍🏾

That was a question better suited for a home or studio interview. Asking that during race was ignorant and rude. Part of being smart is knowing what you're dumb at. John may or may not be book smart but he knows that to succeed he must surround himself with the greatest minds in the business. He knew Jimmy Prock was a major key to DSR's success which is why he had to get (buy) him back. I like John and greatly respect him for what he has done for himself and the sport but I'll bet he can be a royal pain in the ass to work for.

As much as I love the above mentioned I think their hurting it. Multi car teams occupy 26% of the racing field. Think about that. That's better that 1 in 4 belong to a multi car team. Where does that leave guys like Cruz,Deil,Wlikerson,and other smaller budget teams that just don't have the money to compete with them. That's right MONEY. Look at the last 3-4 events. They can't fill the field anymore and still the NHRA charges the fans top dollar to attend.

It bothers ya Force because out of respect you wouldn't rush to conclusions publicly questioning a competitors age/reflex's in the event they hit a couple cones hypothetically speaking , but the difference is nobody has beaten up on you over the years, like you have them. Plow the wall, nobody says a word, hit a cone or two and everyone loses their mind. Same chit, it happens.
