      English: wake up
      Tagalog: bangon
      Malay: bangun
      English: five
      Tagalog: lima
      Malay: li-ma

"I would like to teach malay just because I feel like procrastinating today" See? That's one of the most authentic Malay introduction right there! 0:06

This is good effort to teach foreigners how to speak and be sounded like Malaysian. I prefer more to this method whenever i want to learn any language so i will not be heard as a linguist guy and so. Anyway keep up the good work. You should teach foreigners some common daily phrases that usually work in the street and doesn't sounded weird. Apa2 pun. Saya ni org malaysia. Kipidap, dongibab.

This actually really helpful as im actually malaysian and grew up there but when i turning 10 years old i move australia and now i havent spoken malay in like 6 years trying to get my english to be good and now ive forgotten a lot and i cant speak it fluently so it sucks when my family talk in bahasa malaysia or i visit malaysia again. I still know abit but im going to try to relearn. Thanks for the vid its like refreshing my memory and i will continue watching :)

Awh, yeah I know what it's like to forget a language. It's part of the reason why I started my channel. Due to circumstances, I ended up not speaking Malay for a solid 10 years. I had some lingering Malay vocabulary but I had trouble stringing words into a full Malay sentence properly. Since doing these videos though, my Malay has improved a lot! I'm sure it'll be easier for you as well since you already have that period of 'immersion' before :D

Wow, your production value has improved so much since these first ones. Have you thought about doing these as podcasts so we can listen on the go?

    • @sierralisse8897
      @sierralisse8897  6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Thank you! Haha after reading your comment I immediately went to look for videos on how to do podcasts. I thought about just converting the videos into audio but some of my videos have terrible audio quality. It's something I definitely want to do, but in the interest of not damaging the eardrums of my viewers, I'll have to plan it better. Thank you for suggesting it :D

Ah well, I’m moving to Malaysia quite soon and I was hoping to learn Malay before I go there
When you said Malay doesn’t have any verb conjugations nor tenses including that its gender neutral - I was really relieved it quite nice knowing that since I’ve struggled a lot with specifically that category while learning french
(yes I don’t want to choose French in school, I’ll hopefully be choosing Malay)
All that aside, thankyou for what you put together in the video it helped me quite a bit :)
Honestly I loved listening to you while you were teaching
[hopefully you got done with what you were procrastinating lmao]
    Have a great day ma’am :D
