    Hi. Did you apply gravity for that? because the hydrostatic condition must be applied before moving of the truck.

      @@arsitech-ltd Hello sir, How do you apply gravity using SPH? Can you apply it straight to the whole model like most normal simulations or is there a separate technique because of the SPH implementation nature in abaqus(ex. applying iton the fluids' node set)
      Thank you

    Cool simulation. Did you need to model the vehicle, though? Modeling the tank was sufficient, wasn't it?

    • @arsitech-ltd
      @arsitech-ltd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this case modeling only tank is sufficient..as tank rigidly attached with vehicle. But if tank free to move (attached with some breakable connections) and effect of sloshing one want to see on whole vehicle..then only entire vehicle need to import.

      @@arsitech-ltd if i analyze a tank trailer, and i put the tank like rigid. the load would transmitted to the chassis?

    • @arsitech-ltd

      Yes...if only tank is Rigid and chassis is deformable body...then with proper connection load will transmit to chassis.

      @@arsitech-ltd I don't know type of element for SPH. Should use PC3D or C3D4 element. which one better?

    • @arsitech-ltd
      @arsitech-ltd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dear,
      Instead of directly defining PC3D elements it is recommended to define conventional continuum finite element types C3D8R, C3D6, or C3D4 and check on convert to particle option in Meshing...abaqus automatically convert them to particle elements at the beginning of the analysis or during the analysis depends on ur input.
      If u used Pre-processing from Hypermesh..then procedure is different.

      Dear,
      I want to modify my words.
      Sloshing height can be calculated by both methods. But tracking of node (node that reachs to peak height or other) is possible with SPH only.
      There are some relationship between sloshing height and energy envolved. I nit remember exactly... please dind related details on internet.
