    Beautiful box and colour choice. Love your ingenuity using snowman punch for notching, made me chuckle especially as your project is Xmas related. Ty for your tips in layering poinsettia and using the blender pen if you wanted to change the colour of those gorgeous cluster of pearls in poinsettia centre. Tfs your exceptional talent x

    I love watching you. Could you show how to get measurements for boxes for any item.. or how to figure out the score lines. Thanks

    • @ThePaperPixie
      @ThePaperPixie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nena! I wish it were easy to explain! Since each box design is different, there are so many different ways to figure out the measurements - I wouldn't be able to explain it all in a video. Before I design a box, I do measure the H, W, & D by placing my item on my Simply Scored - that's my best advice for a starting point! But beyond that - figuring out the score lines all depends on the style of the box.

    This is very pretty, I can see it with different paper and flowers since I don't do Christmas. One little thing, the leaves are holly leaves, not poinsettia leaves, LOL! Also, I wonder what else might fit inside the box. Does Ice breakers make a container with gum? I am thinking someone might think I am telling them they have bad breath if I put a breath mint tin in it. Just my brain thinking about this.

    • @ThePaperPixie
      @ThePaperPixie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they are holly leaves, but still work great as "poinsettia leaves" :)

    Hi Julie. I just came across this today. Just what I’m looking for. Would it be too difficult to make it 1/4” bigger in width and height? The depth of 7/8 is perfect. I realise I would only get one per sheet but that’s fine. I’m useless with trying to adjust measurements. Would you be able to help me please. I’d so appreciate it. Thank you sharing everything you do.

    I love the box but please may I say the flower is a poinsettia, (pronounced poinsettiya, not poinsetta) no offence intended, but it grates a bit to a plant and flower enthusiast.

    • @ThePaperPixie
      @ThePaperPixie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Barbara! Not my intention to have grated on your nerves when I created this project. Believe it or not, my pronunciation is an American English pronunciation included in the dictionary for poinsettia: [ poin-set-ee-uh, -set-uh ]. It may be non-standard (and improper), but it's just how I've always pronounced it. It was my late mama's (Pixie) favorite Christmas plant and holds a special place in my heart.

    • @barbaramuckle9841
      @barbaramuckle9841 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePaperPixie, I know it can be pronounced differently in different areas, like I said no offence intended hope you didn't feel offended. I love the box you made . It is my favourite Christmas flower too, in fact I think it is THE Christmas flower and can see why it was your late mum's favourite. As an aside I'm 73 myself so have had a few Christmases to admire them. I prefer the original red , like the one you demonstrated, the pink and white are pretty but don't quite send the same Christmas message. I enjoy watching your tutorials and look forward to the next one arriving on my screen, xx

    • @ThePaperPixie
      @ThePaperPixie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, original red is our favorite too! The church I grew up in has a huge memorial display of red Poinsettias at Christmas that families contribute to in memory of loved ones - it was always such a beautiful display! Thank you so much! I’m honored to inspire you!
