Great video man love the shorts too. Keep it up. Gear one hundred percent because she it might limit you but you have better protection if you crash on the bike.
I’m thinking about downsizing to something a lot less cumbersome for sure. The freedom felt nice today though, I haven’t felt that good on a bike since I started riding MX. God bless, thanks for stopping by and showing some love! 🙏
Hahaha no zombies are gonna bite through this armor 🤣 I agree. I was doing a lot of hardcore trail and enduro riding when I got this set back in 2021. It’s time I retire it and upgrade to something with more mobility since this served its purpose and got me through my early learning phase. 🫡
Probably would go GEAR only because a lack of experience on my end makes me want more protection, but someone who is experienced might not need that gear. cool experiment regardless!
That’s exactly why I got this body armor right when I started riding. I’ve been wearing it for 3.5 years and finally spread my wings a little. I’m considering downsizing to something less intrusive whilst keeping my spine safe.
i just watched your video. And there is a slight little problem that I noticed. When you ran with pads you took a different course and then when you ran without pads you took a shortcut. Which is going to alter Time by second. To make it a proper comparison your going have to run the same course with and without pads and no shortcuts.
I definitely took a different line because I was able to shift my weight on the bike easier. The first time, I tried to hit the inside, but couldn’t stop in time due to my improper body position being hindered by the gear. A closer comparison would be best with similar lines, I just had a ton of trouble doing it while wearing the gear.

No zombie apocalypse looking body armor, but small chest protectors do the job without inhibiting you.

Gear becuse it makes me more comfy so i can ride faster without being scared to fall
I feel that! After getting injured to much, I love the comfort of gear. The trade off is tough for me.

If you believe the bulky gear is slowing you down it will. Placebo effect. You decided before the test.
You could be right, I felt more confident without it on and charged a little harder.
@@jestonsendsit i feel same way with the bulky gear.
I ride with a roast deflector and knee pads, that’s all the protection I wear and it’s always worked for me. What track is this?
I’m definitely going to downsize. This is Cycle ranch in Texas

No gear
It felt pretty good, but I definitely wanna find a healthy balance in the middle.
